Summary: The Real Deal
Review: After buying software that promised to help me create killer web sites and that were sped through the wall with a mighty heave, I got Creating Cool Html 4 Web Pages. What started out to be a real pain became a snap and almost fun with Dave's excellent text.

Both ears and the tail and two turns around the ring, Dave.

Summary: Excelent book
Review: Although the author gives some superfials explanations on JavaScript, CGI & DHTML, this book offers and comprehensive and fairly complete explanation on HTML.
Higly recommended for those willing to learn and master HTML.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent Resource for the Beginner
Review: An excellent book for beginners learning HTML. The book was concise and included great, easy to understand examples, each with step by step instructions. Mr. Taylor provides a great resource for the non-programmer.

Summary: A great tool!
Review: As a beginning web page builder, I found this book to be extremely helpful. The inclusion of evaluation programs for fireworks, and dreamweaver are also super tools. Only a couple of things didnt work for me as they were supposed to based on examples, but that's on my end I think. Get this book.

Summary: Taylor's "Cool HTML" -- A Real Winner!
Review: As a small company with no knowledge of HTML or web technology, we were overwhelmed by the thought of taking over the task of revamping and expanding the site someone else had started for us (which needed help...). Then someone recommended this book by Dave Taylor and, after reading just a few chapters, we were off and running!

Creating Cook HTML 4 Web Pages is a real blessing to anyone needing to design and manage a web site. Dave Taylor makes HTML easy to understand and enjoyable, even for the novice. What was once intimidating for us -- redesigning and maintaining our company site (www.totallyhealthy.com) -- is now FUN and rewarding as we see our web site improving and the orders and positive feedback increasing!

The CD that accompanies the book is great and the author is kind enough to make himself available by e-mail for questions, highly unusual and most helpful. BUY THIS BOOK AND USE IT!!

Summary: An excellent reference for any HTML slinger!
Review: Dave Taylor has a knack for getting his point across in a way that's clear to beginners yet not insulting to the more experienced. This book covers tags, techniques and tools with lots of helpful examples. It's the book I reach for whenever I start a new web project.

Summary: Very user-friendly and informative...
Review: Dave Taylor is a truly great teacher. I knew absolutely nothing about web-design and html, and I had a great site up and running in less than a week! (Without using pre-written pages, the entire site was completely written by me.) His book is easy to follow and understand and is a powerful introduction to the fascinating world of web-design. I admit to being hooked and will be reading his other works as well.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best guide to HTML I've seen
Review: Dave Taylor is able to help anybody understand HTML 4. His helpful book can easily show the beginner how to use tables, images, and even style sheets effectively to create "Cool Webpages". It is also an indespensible resource for more advanced programmers. I highly recommend this book.
