Rating: Summary: A great book for HTML beginners!! Review: This book is definitely an excellent HTML book for beginners. I have several HTML books at home, but I found that this book is the best of all. If you are new to HTML, you will surely become a HTML expert after you've read this book, why? 1. Well-explained examples. 2. It covered most of the useful HTML materials. 3. It illustrated some of useful Javascripts, such as onMouseover stuff. Finally, I can use three words to describe this book: "simple but powerful". If you want to learn HTML, this book is definitely the best choice. Give it a shot!
Rating: Summary: This book is great for beginner to advanced level of HTML. Review: This book realy help me revise my skills.Even though I was already into HTML before reading this book.It helped me get better acquainted with the Hyper Text Markup Language. It even teaches a little bit of Javascript. If your a beginner this book will have you making cool web pages in no time at all.Even if your of an advanced level it will help you revise and help you put your pages together better. It's DEFINITLY worth buying.
Rating: Summary: Good reference book Review: This book was a great starting point for HTML programming. The only drawback is that for some of the examples, it doesn't explain very well WHAT exactly in the code makes the browsers do these things, making it hard to carry his examples to your own uses.
Rating: Summary: Great web design book Review: This is an excellent book for all web designers, from beginners to experts. It covers almost all areas of site building including HTML, Javascript, CGI, and others. My favorite desktop reference.
Rating: Summary: A Rookie's Review Review: When Dave Taylor's book arrived I was skeptical about being able to create my own web site using only Simpletext or vi. That was a week ago. Since then I have rebuilt my web site from the ground up and although the new site is not the work of a master, it looks pretty good for a rookie effort. Taylor's book took a complete novice, step by step, through the process of building a fairly complicated web site in under a week--a remarkable feat. This book is a must-have item for anyone interested in learning HTML 4. It is informative enough for an experienced website designer while remaining accessible to the novice. It answered all my questions and provided creative and thoughtful suggestions for building my own site. Clear, concise and comprehensive--go buy this book if you want to learn to create great web pages using HTML 4.
