Review: I have read this book and I found its good book for MCSD Exam preparation. Buy it as soon as possible if you want to get 100% marks.

Summary: Good book - I passed the exam 70-176.
Review: It covers things at the level of detail that you need. I've only taken the 70-176 exam so far (I scored 90%). This book will prepare you. I also recommend that you get the www.transcender.com software - excellent practice software. Between that software and this book, you will pass. I was somewhat disappointed that the errors/corrections are not yet available on the newriders web site for the book. It looks like that is coming soon though.

Review: It covers allmost, and I state allmost, every Objective of the 70-176 exam. Although the exercises and tests aren't accurate all the time, still, the contents and the style of the book is very good, most of the questions at the exam were covered in this book, helped me pass the exam on the first try.

Review: I haven't taken the exam yet and this is the first book I am working on (thanks to commends at this site), so I really don't know how good this book is. Besides the misprints, typos, I found a serious mistake in Ch.6, Exam Question 8 (on form DeActivate event), choice B should be correct (in addition to choice C), you can test this from Exercise 6-1 of this chapter. Does anybody know of any online discussion groups on 70-176 and other MCSD exams? Thanks in advance for any info.

Summary: Good Book - Covers almost everything.
Review: I wish I would have bought this book for the 70-176 rather than the MS Press book. I barely passed that one. This book covered just about everything for the 70-175 in detail and even some things I missed on the 70-176. There where a couple of errors on the exams and I did not find the questions as good as Transcender's. Overall, I think I would have been able to pass both tests with just this book and some experience.

Summary: great book for reviewing before taking exams
Review: The book is good overall, especially for 175 exam. BUT there're a lot of errors in text and in practice exams. The questions in practice test are too simple, you're not gonna find questions like that on the actual exam. This book does not replace the experience. After I took both test and passed them, I'm sure that without my experience in VB I woudln't pass them. This book helped me with reviewing some things that I forgot or never used. It does a good job explaining all aspects of both exams.

Summary: This is the book to buy if you want to pass the VB6 exams
Review: I bought this book and read it cover-to-cover. I found it to be very complete with regards to achieving the VB6 certification exam goals. It does not touch on every aspect of VB since it is geared towards studying for the certification exams, but what it does cover is very complete. Not only did it help me pass the VB certification exams, but it will also serve as a useful reference book. The review questions that are in the book are very detail oriented and not really like the actual exam questions. For that I used the Transcender practice exams, which are much closer to the actual exam questions - harder actually - and they put a different slant on the material. I took both of the VB6 exams on the same day and passed with scores of 900 and 871.

Summary: This book is worth to buy.
Review: I read this book as the only one to prepare both exam 70-175 and 70-176, I passed both by first try. This book is very helpful for both exam. Instead of read one book for each exam, this book saves my time and money. It is organized by test objectives, which give me a clear image for the knowledge related to the Exam. The electronic version of the whole book on the CD is also helpful when I want to read it while I am traveling, and I can printout useful pages. However there are some errors in the book, and lack of some files in the CD, which can be downloaded from publisher's website.
