Summary: I love my great grandmother
Review: This book was published by my grandfather whos mother is Elodia Rigante(my great grandmother)Each and everyone of her recipes are filled with the loved she shared with her family everyday. She was a beautiful women, with a beautiful soul, and the most delicious cooking i have ever had. Nothing beats her food. She had two loves in her life Family and food, which suit her perfectly seeing as she was Italian and all. I will carry out tradition with my children that my mother taught me, which she learned from my Nanny. I Obviously cherish this book and i am glad that i can share my heritage with all of you!!

Summary: Native New Yorker's review
Review: This book would be accepted by my Italian ancestors. Italian cooks just know what you add by smell and taste and more smelling and tasting. This gets you to the final process quickly. I must warn you that if the receipe says it feeds 4 that would translate to 4 large adult men who have skipped breakfast and lunch. It is a delicious feast that brought back fond memories of Sunday dinner at Grandmothers.

Summary: Excellent recipes which are easy to prepare
Review: We have yet to hit a bad recipe in this book which we have been using regularly for over 2 years. There is a wide variety of great recipes along with some unusual ideas to enhance meals (such as seasoning pizza dough to improve flavor). We use this cook book more than any other.

Summary: Best memory of my grandmother's cooking I've found anywhere!
Review: What a FUN book to read and stroll down memory lane! Her family reminds so much of my own grandparents! The recipes are incredible, easy to use and they taste like I remember! It has become one of my favorite books on my shelf.(and I have lots!) Can't wait to see the next one in her series. In fact friends of mine are caterers and used many recipes for a 7 fish Christmas meal!

Summary: Grandma would have approved!
Review: When she arrivd at Ellis Island from Italy, my Grandmother Chiarella Derlitz brought what I have always believed to be the BEST Italian recipes possible. If she didn't make it, it wasn't really Italian.. Well, Grandma would have approved of Elodia Rigante's Italian Immigrant Cooking. So many of Mama Rigante's recipes are simple twists on grandma's favorites, complete with family photos that could be my own. The recipes that she has included that are new to me feel as if I've known them forever. Get this book back in print! Now!
