Rating: Summary: Great results, but it depends on which bread machine you use Review: - when using my Pillsbury bread machine, it works great. On my new Welbilt machine not good at all. I think there are a couple of temperature misprints in the dough section - Pita Bread bakes at 500 degrees and bagels at 550 degrees ? My oven doesn't even go up to 550 degrees!
Rating: Summary: A wonderfully useful book Review: A book that deals with all sized of bread machines and explains about the flours, etc used and the problems encountered and how to rectify them. The book was so wonderful that I bought the other 5 in the series.
Rating: Summary: Great things come in small packages! Review: Although I have several bread machine cookbooks today, this was my first. My copy is so dog-earred that it's falling apart. Although the book is small, it is jam packed with a huge variety of tasty recipes that are surprisingly easy. If you only buy one bread book-this would be a great choice.

Rating: Summary: Try "Sally Lunn" and you'll love this cookbook! Review: Ever since I received a bread machine as my birthday gift this year, I had been looking for a good bread machine cookbook. I checked many book stores, but none they had turned me on. Then, a neighbor friend let me borrow hers (this title) and I fell in love with it! While many other cookbooks cover rather unusual bread recipes (i.e. Sage Raisin Bread, Curry Rice Dinner Rolls), this book contains the recipes for many good old wonderful breads we already know ... only better! I was desperately looking for a great white bread recipe, and my search was over when I found "Sally Lunn" in this cookbook. Its texture and flavor are incredible! My whole family love it! I strongly recommend this cookbook to anyone who has a bread machine.
Rating: Summary: All bread machines are not created equal Review: Got this book after reading all the positive reviews. Recipes sound terrific, however, I have to say the two loaves I made in my new Oster machine did not come out very good at all. Up to this point I did have terrific success with all the recipes I tried from the cookbook that came with my Oster bread machine. That is why I wanted a bread machine cookbook to expand my choices of breads to make. I plan to try changing some of the ingredient proportions to get better results, but if you are looking for an easy bread machine cookbook, I personally don't think this is it. Machines must have changed since it was published in 1991?
Rating: Summary: The best bread machine cookbook out there! Review: I bought this book after trying and browsing through others without much interest. The recipes are delicious, easy to follow, and fun to try. I would recommend this book to anyone with a breadmaker that would like to experiment with different types and flavors of bread. It's the best book I've seen yet. In fact, I liked it so much that I've just ordered the other five in the series!
Rating: Summary: This is a great book... Review: I bought this book when I bought my Toastmaster bread machine a couple months ago, b/c I've had the author's pasta machine and pizza books for a long time and love them. I made one recipe from the guide that came w/ the machine, and then moved on to her book. Every recipe has been wonderful and turned out perfectly. I have sometimes needed to add about 1 tsp of water to the dough after it has kneaded for 10 minutes, but that is the only adjusting I've had to do. I've tried about a dozen recipes so far, from every chapter, and have not been disappointed. I recommend that every new bread machine owner try this book!
Rating: Summary: Great for a beginner Review: I bought this cookbook after I got a Welbilt bread machine, mainly for the introductory descriptions of types of flours and other suggestions. I had no intention of using the recipes because I was going to keep it simple and use my bread machine guide. But I started using the recipes and I make excellent bread each time. For a beginner that's terrific. My favorite so far is the peasant bread. It comes out very crisp ----great for soups.
Rating: Summary: The best I've seen Review: I do find I have to do a little adjusting with these recipes, largely in part because I live in a high altitude. Very few books give directions for high altitude adjustments, which can be frustrating. Usually, I must cut the yeast and add some liquid. Her most valuable advise is to check the bread after the first 5-10 minutes of kneading. I've found if I follow that advise, just about everything turns out quite well. I do substitute whole white what flour for 1/3 bread flour in several of her recipes to make them more nutritious, and find it sacrifices little in taste and texture. We rarely buy store bread any more.
