Rating: Summary: Buy all her books Review: I was about to throw my bread machine out when I saw her book and bought it. Makes bread machine bread like hand made.
Rating: Summary: A recipe for every taste Review: My boyfriend and I recently moved to the U.S. from Germany, where all kinds of fresh, healthy baked breads are readily available for an affordable everyday price. When I got my Breadman machine out of my mom's attic, my boyfriend looked at it skeptically and muttered something about how tough it would be living in the States. Well, this book made us both bread machine believers. It has recipes to suit both our tastes with easy to read tables for different size loaves. It has the whole, health-food grain and nutty recipes (with buckwheat, amaranth, barley) I like as well as the crusty white, rye, and whole wheat ones he prefers. The author also gives tips on additives to make the bread denser or lighter depending on your preference. Every single recipe has worked beautifully.

Rating: Summary: Good Basic Book Review: Nice variety of good recipes! As noted elsewhere, high altitude requires adjustments. I have had to add liquid in every recipe, and will need to lower yeast in a couple to prevent top cave-in. Would like to see the discussion at the beginning of the book expanded. While very pleased with this book, I will probably try another author for my next purchase.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Bread Machine Companion Review: Of all the bread machine books I own, this is hands down my favorite. The cozy, small size has a lot to do with it to start, and to end - the fabulous recipes! I haven't been disappointed yet. This would make a great gift for someone who is just starting out with a bread machine.

Rating: Summary: So far, the recipes fail to turn out properly. Review: Of the two recipes I have tried thus far (I just bought the book), neither one has turned out properly despite meticulous following of the author's instructions. The dough consistently is either too loose or too dense...I'm not the best cook, but I do know how to follow directions. Her recipe for "peasant bread" managed to burn-out the motor on my machine, so use this book at your own risk!
Rating: Summary: Used this book for almost 5 years and never had a problem! Review: Oh, I just wanted to wholeheartedly DISAGREE with the two negative reviews on this book! This was the first book I bought after I got my bread machine five years ago, and I've never had anything but beautiful results from every recipe I've tried, and I RARELY have to adjust anything. I will say it's important to read all the advice in the first chapters before diving into the recipes, particularly regarding checking the machine after the first few minutes of kneading. I have all six of the books in this series now (the sixth just arrived today, and I can't wait to try it!), and I find German to be thorough and very easy to understand. I think this book would be invaluable to anyone owning a bread machine.
Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: The directions are easy to follow and she has such wonderful recipes. I especially enjoyed both the White/Wheat Sourdoughs. I highly recommend this as well as her other books.
Rating: Summary: Simple, easy to use, easy to understand. No fuss, no muss. Review: This book is so amazing that I bought it for all my friends and relatives who have a bread machine. The ingrdients are easy to find in your local supermarket and if you follow the simple directions, you will never have a bad loaf of bread. This book also offers some trouble-shooting tips that guide you in making the best loaves possible. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves using their bread machine and who loves the smell of fresh-baked bread everyday!
