Summary: Beautiful Laetitia!
Review: The book has very good pictures because of Laetitia. She is extremely beautiful, and doesn't matter where, when, or how the pictures were taken, she will always look great.

Review: The book was excellent and i recommend it to anyone

Summary: A fanbook, mostly, charming but slight.
Review: The last issue of the French edition of Photo did a very interesting juxtaposition: A pictorial featuring three pictorials of violence (the Indonesian genocide commited by Dayaks being particularly harrowing)...followed by a Laetitia Casta pictorial. After the grisly shots of the Dayaks and their victims, it was like a whole different world in the Casta pictorial -- one of the sweetest-looking faces in fashion.

This book offers mostly photos available from other sources. With a clear approach targeting fans smitten with Laetitia's looks (marks for lack of pretension towards something more serious), this book is a nice overview of a supermodel who doesn't fall into the Cindy Crawford trap (too much pouting, zero sincerity -- the Crawford specialty). On the other hand, it has no guiding principle and no material that is not previously published.

Laetitia's own charcoal scribbles and comments are highly charming (her comments on nudity and seduction, for example). The strongest photos in the book are those by the one who, I think, understands her appeal the most: Dominique Isserman, one of the first photographers to use Laetitia frequently for sessions.

The book has a limited scope, obviously; it does get across Casta's strongest trait, which is the ability to convey a sense of herself as a flesh-and-blood person -- some kind of personal, emotional communication, instead of the empty glamour that most models project.

Summary: Laetitia is beautiful. So follows the book.
Review: The pages are very nice, being thick. The picture selection is very good. Although I would have liked a little more text, I really enjoyed reading about Miss Casta. Any fan of the sexiest supermodel in the world should buy this book.

Summary: Beautiful Fotos of a Beautiful Woman
Review: There are some pretty, pretty pics in this book of an amazingly beautiful chick. A couple of the nude fotos are unreal!!!!

Summary: escapist
Review: This book caught my eye while I was working in the Amazon.com Seattle Distribution Center wharehouse. I love to see pictures of models when they were younger or "off duty." I guess I do this wondering how much of what I see is real and how much is done with make-up and the camera. What i found was that Laetita is just as alluring in her youth and without the aid of fashion experts. Her family photos were the most amazing. The Mediterranean back-drop and Laetita's haunting eyes seem to melt into one. For God sakes, put me on a plane and get me out of here! I highly recommend this book to those interested in beauty.

Summary: Good, but it could have been so much better.
Review: This book falls somewhere between the PG-rated Claudia Schiffer "Memories" book and the all out skin-fests of the Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss titles. Most of the photos have already been seen in such places as Vogue, Sports Illustrated, Photo (the French edition of American Photo magazine), Rolling Stone, Victoria's Secret, Guess? ads, etc. Sadly, no behind-the-scenes shots of the Ritts Rolling Stone or Pirelli calendar sessions are included, nor are any from the Demarchelier sessions (the 2 that are included are from his book "Forms"). In fact, many Laetita fans will have the bulk of these photos already. On the plus side, there are a few previously unseen shots and a lot of Laetitia quotes, and it does collect some prime photos in one handy hardcover book. One last thing: her quote on page 111 is the most devastating news I've heard this month.

Summary: Latitia: The most beautiful woman on the planet.
Review: This book is great. Beautiful photography and a light biography of this man's favorite girl. If you're looking for a novel, I'm sure you all know where the fiction is. However, if you want to gaze at a very lovely woman, who just happens to work with some of the greatest photographers in the world, buy it. You won't be dissapointed.

Summary: Not the best they could have done with stunning beauty
Review: This book is sort of like an extended puff piece magazine article, with many glossy vogue-style photos. Laetitia is gorgeous, though these are not necessarily the best or sexiest photos of her by any means. A kind of collector's item tribute to a model of our time.
