Summary: THIS BOOK SUCKS.....
Review: I have read a lot of books about KISS and this one rates near the bottom. The overall quality is cheap. Looks like it was put together on a photocopier at somebody's house. Hard to take it seriously with such an amateur like quality about it. The authors just bring up dirt on Ace, without having anything positive to say about him. The dirt that they have isn't even interesting anyway. I kept thinking the book would get better as I read on. It didn't. Wish I hadn't wasted my money.

Summary: Unsupported Gossip
Review: The book is written from the point of view of cast-off hangers-on. KISS & TELL is on the same journalistic level as the National Enquirer, save the horrid grammar & obtuse writing style.
The 'authors' attempt to paint Mr. Frehley as the most abhorrent individual to ever walk the face of the Earth (Yet somehow the two men managed to spend quite a bit of time with the KISS guitarist.)
Both men seem to have axes to grind against Frehley & it is hard to take anything in this book seriously. The humor is at it's best trite, & quite often stolen from other sources. ...

Summary: Good Job Ace
Review: Great read and great insight into KISS and Rock & Roll during the 70s and 80s. After learning more about Ace Frehley's daily exploits, I'm amazed that he's still alive.....I'm surprised Gene Simmons didn't kill him! Highly enjoyable and recommended!!

Summary: Axe To Grind
Review: A good night's read. I laughed a lot at this but wonder if it's all really true or if this guy is just another bozo trying to make money off of celebrity friends. We all know Ace is a royal screw up but the author has personal money issues with the spaceman that probably lead to his biased opinion. Check it out for the entertainment factor.

Summary: Highly Entertaining!
Review: Don't be put off by the bad reviews, this is a great read. You get an inside peek at one of rock's biggest phenomenons. The authors dish out an abundance of interesting tidbits. Not setting themselves above the fray, they tell stories not only about Kiss, but themselves as well. I don't know why the Kiss fan(atic)s are so rattled by this; the stories are entertaining, maybe even shocking, but hardly surprising. Much of the band's exploits were already public / common knowledge. Maybe it's hard for them to have their idols revealed as only human. If you'd like to have a 'fly on the wall' point of view on some of the goings-on surrounding Kiss and it's members, I highly recommend this book!

Summary: Personal, inside glimpse
Review: This book gave everyone an insiders view to the "characters" that make up KISS. The times and happenings of Rock & Roll stars are too often hidden from their audiences. Gordon & Bob offer the readers personal, up front stories, that make KISS members real, and human. Their strengths and weaknesses are shown to the public. When we go to see a KISS concert after reading this book, one gets the feeling that perhaps we know them a bit more intimately. Maybe some of their onstage actions become more meaningful to the viewer. Thanks guys for writing this book.

Summary: You May Not Have Wanted The Truth, But You Got The Truth!
Review: Read the pages and you will find the truth between the covers of this book. As a fan of KISS, as a member of the 'infamous KISS
Inner Circle' and having a personal relationship with Mr. & Mrs. Caravello (parents of Eric Carr, former drummer of Kiss for more than a decade) and many others in the KISS Circle, you may deem my opinion biased. However, I bought 'Kiss and Tell' upon the recommendation of a friend of Bobby Mc Adams (my best friend for 17 years) and at first, even I did not want to accept that the things I already knew to be true ARE in fact, true. It's one thing to tell the stories among friends, but seeing parts of your life in print is difficult to accept. The moment that I received the book, I began to read and could not put it down. I watched as my own friends, those who have lived through all of it (and then some) with Bobby and Gordon, read the book. I watched their expressions and listened to their comments as they read about events that they witnessed ...as they read about our lives. We are fortunate to have lived through the days ...to enter the Inner Circle ...and get out alive. Unfortunately, many KISS fans have neither the knowledge nor the insight to see the book for what it is ...the truth. They refuse to accept what Bobby and Gordon (and so many others) went through with and for the man known as Ace Frehley. What did we all go through with Ace ...especially, Bobby and Gordon? Hell. While 'Kiss and Tell' may not be what everyone wants to hear, it is the truth. Like many of us, even Eric Carr's mother is grateful to Gordon and Bobby for telling the truth about why Eric had to leave the band (not due to his tragic illness). Gordon is happy to talk to anyone at conventions, on the telephone, via e-mail and via good, 'old-fashioned' U.S. mail. He and Bobby McAdams are good people; they did not put half of what they could have put into 'Kiss & Tell.' Writing the book was (and still is) a painful experience for them. Their motive was not financial; they had to write ... they could not live with the knowledge that they possessed. They could no longer hold it inside. If anything, they hoped to save others from the pain that we all know too well. For the KISS fans who are upset, for those who feel that Gordon and Bobby damaged Ace's reputation by writing this book ...they did not ...that is the one and only true Ace Frehley Solo Project. The events depicted in 'Kiss and Tell' are accurate beyond your wildest imagination. Honestly, Bobby and Gordon were kind. KISS shows are performances, but many KISS fans either cannot or do not want to believe that their superheroes are human. However, the reality is that there are humans behind the make-up! Bobby and Gordon put their names on this book and did not hide behind ANY make-up; like many others, I respect them for it. Gordon and Bobby did what we did not have the courage to do ...'kiss and tell' the truth. We have lived our lives in what is at times, NOT 'the real world.' Step behind the KISS curtain and things get ugly. This book is non-fiction and yes ...sometimes, truth is stranger than fiction. However, Bobby and Gordon COULDN'T have fictionalized this
'story' if they chose. There's a saying, "The KISS Inner Circle is a fun place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there." Tragically, for too many, once they enter they do not get out alive. And, for those of us who have survived? We keep trying, but somehow we just can't get out of it ...and sometimes, we wonder ...will we get out alive? I believe that we will survive,
but not unscathed; scars aren't skin deep. There is a code of honor and Ace Frehley chose to break the code. Bobby and Gordon
broke the silence. God Bless them both for having the courage and selflessness to come forth with 'Kiss and Tell.' Thank you Bobby and Gordon. When I see the tears in the eyes of so many
...I know that what you have sacrificed (while it may not seem so to you) is invaluable. 'Kiss and Tell' is a major part of
'Kisstory.' Buy it and read it for yourself ...with an open mind. Even if you are not a KISS fan, you will come away with a new understanding ..IF you will open you eyes, mind and heart. Yes, for millions, the most magical words in the world have been,
'You Wanted The Best And You Got It ...The Hottest Band In The World ... KISS.' But, for many of us like Gordon and Bobby ..we now realize that we've gotten more than we wish we had. Gordon and Bobby could write volumes more ...if they chose. Who knows what the future holds? But, for now? Enough said; read the book. Hang Tough Bobby & Gordon!

If you love good New York humor with some truly outrageous stunts being pulled by the one and only Ace Frehley, you will thoughrougly enjoy this book. Summary: I respect an author who tells the truth.
Review: Gosh you have to love a book that is so controversial that people just talk, talk & continue to talk about it! The book is exciting, shocking & quite one of the ballsiest books ever written about a rock & roller who frankly doesn't know whether he is coming or going. Of course KISS fans don't want to hear BAD things about their "Dear Ace" but from what I hear, Gene's book rips "Dear Ace" also! Way to go Bob & Gordon! I loved the book, I am a true rock & roller & I can HANDLE the F**king truth. Thrive on the publicity! The book is what? 5 years old now?? and still selling because people love to hate it!!
