Summary: Great look "behind-the-scenes"
Review: I think this book is a great read for any KISS fan or even any Non-KISS fan. It tells the real stories of what goes on behind closed doors and how some rock stars think they are larger-than-life and "above the law". I think Gordon and Bob really come across and tell the stories like you are sitting there with them in a bar and they are telling the stories right to you. It's great that they intergect humor with the pathetic life of "Ace" Frehley. Get the book and enjoy it as much as I did.

Summary: Sad exagerations and lies written by a leach out to make a $
Review: This book isn't worth the paper it's printed on. The author is a biased wanna be who leached onto Ace Frehley for his own peresonal gain. The stories are fictious or crude exagertaions at best. To say the writing is poor would be giving it more credit than it deserves. A tabloid reporter would be ashamed to take credit for this garbage. After reading this I am only left feeling sorry for the author's lack of a life.

KISS And Sell is a far superior read and worth the money.

Don't waste your time on KISS & Tell. If you do, be sure to hold onto your reciept. You'de be better off driving down the freeway and throwing the (...) out your car window.

Summary: Awful book
Review: This book is a waste of paper. The writing is bad, the editing worse, and the bitterness of two (...) trying to cash in is the worst. The book is riddled with questionable 'facts,' loaded with whining, and just not very well-written. If these clowns can write books, so can (...) chimps.

Summary: Facts or sour grapes?????
Review: I read it because I'm a curious fan. As a fan of the group I was disapointed...I can't tell if any of the "facts" in this book are fact or the product of a disgruntled former associate trying to cash in on an aquaintance. This book focused on Ace Frehley and his adventures. It did not paint a very flattering picture of Ace or the the Rest of Kiss. Was any of it TRUE??? From the author's tone, I'll take the whole thing with a helping of salt...as for the second book???? I have'nt read it but why bother? I've had enough salt already.

Summary: Jealous rants of a loser
Review: This book is nothing more than the jealous rants of some loser who hardly knew Ace. He stole money from Ace, then tried to sue Ace when Ace nailed him on it. The fact the Ace is sitting on millions and millions of dollars again, while this pathetic zero is probably asking, "Would you like fries with that?" is the ultimate endorsement of his credibility (or lack of).

Summary: Sorry I Wasted My Time Reading This Book
Review: I bought this book out of curiosity, being a Kiss fan, and I think that this book is a pathetic attempt to cash in on being friends with a celebrity. The book is poorly written, and it is quite obvious it was slapped together quickly to start cashing in right away. I have no sympathy for either Mr. Gebert or Mr. McAdams, they are two grown men who were able to make their own choices. The stories may or may not be true, but while trying to cast Ace Frehley in a bad light, they also cast that same light on themselves. If someone supposedly treats you so bad and such an awful person, then why remain friends with them for so long? I would recommend taking this book with a grain of salt.

Summary: Like having a surveillance cam....!!
Review: I bought this book after striking up an e-mail correspondence with co-author Gordon "GG" Gebert..I also had similar inside connections with Kiss, but with focus on different members, situations, and time frames. What an eye-opener for anyone who ever idolized Ace Frehley!! Things are rarely what they sometimes appear to be in a rock star setting, but these revelations by both Gordon and Bob, (coming from their own diverse personal interactions with Ace and the group) knocked me for a loop!!! My one and only criticism is that there are several mistakes and/or typos in spelling and grammar... These things did NOT in any way dim my enjoyment of the frank and dishy content!!! I intend to get the sequel!!

Summary: Fantasy characters with real lives
Review: As a pretty dedicated KISS fan, I'm always looking to find out information from a different angle than the slick, carefully outlined image and marketing angles presented to the public. I found this book to be very entertaining with lots of backstage interesting articles. Obviously written by someone who had to be there, because some of it you couldn't make up if you tried! Especially with KISS, because of the characters they all became to form this band, the real person sometimes becomes overlooked. This book does a good job of letting us know who Paul Frehley really is.

Summary: Kiss and Tell, Shocked me!
Review: Like millions of kids in the mid seventies and early eighties, KISS was the guiding musical force in my life. I dreamed of being the men behind the makeup, of seeing them in concert, of meeting the "Ace". After 20 some odd years I finally got to see KISS in concert this farewell tour. In reading this book, I was amazed that the man who I admired so much, was the self destructive, heartless, irresponsible child he apparently really is. What a shame, such talented people, namely, Peter and Ace couldn't have been better people. A great book and a truely sobering look at the effects of fame and fortune on people ill equppied to deal with it. A must read for all KISS fans.

Summary: How Much truth to this?
Review: I am a loyal Kiss fan, and I find that these two are vindictive ex-friends. I'm sure some of the stuff is true, but a lot of this is just vindictive stories that does not really need to be written about just to get back at Ace because things did not work out between you guys. The story about one trip to Atlantic City where you lost your job and Ace did not pay you to go. Who's fault is that you lost your job? Ace took you as a buddy, not an employee. Its too bad this is how you sell your book, by bad mouthing members of the greatest band in the world and their lead guitarist. I wont give a nickel for Kiss and tell more!
