Summary: What a waste of time & money
Review: This is the work of a bitter man. Don't get me wrong: I wouldn't be surprised if all of what Gordon wrote was true. However, we see here a person (Gordon) who wants what Ace had (Superstardom, foolish though he was/is/whatever), and when he found himself used and abused, didn't have the guts to take a stand for himself. It sounded to me like he blamed Ace for his ended marriage, and not his own foolish choices. I can't believe I wasted my money on this.

Summary: Kiss and Tell
Review: Very disappointing. Contradicted himself in several places, stating one thing in one chapter and saying the opposite in another. The pictures were nice but I've seen them elsewhere and they were nothing new. The stories were all pretty much what I've heard elsewhere also. And his 'follow-up' book is nothing more than a compilation of emails and articles other people sent him and he published, which I can get on any of the newsgroups he frequents.

Kiss and Sell was much better for giving a feel of what was happening backstage and in the hotels, and I didn't catch any major contradictions in it.

Summary: Help,Space bear!
Review: Well, fellow ace fans,I hate to say it,but at least some of the stories in this book are true.I saw those "girls from italy" and yes I have fallen prey to ace's "bronchitis"which after travelling 90 miles to see him and on 2 trains and a bus was quite annoying, have to say,Ace is Ace.Who amongus is not open to human frailities? The authors are quite understandably angry at Mr.Frehley, but, dudes,do you understand what "enabler" means? The ones I feel most sorry for in this book are John Regan who worked so hard for Frehley"s comet, and Ace's daughter Monique who must see this about her father, true or not.

Summary: Don't forget to mention the pictures
Review: I agree with most of what's been said about this book (guilty pleasure reading, sour grapes but still interesting to Kiss fans, lots of behind-the-scenes stories), but I think it must be mentioned that it has a few black-and-white pictures which are priceless, like Kiss jamming at Ace's wedding, for instance. If you're a Kiss fan, do buy this book. But if you happen to meet the band face to face, never let them know you bought it, let alone that you enjoyed it!

Summary: Read KISS & Tell and judge for yourself
Review: Gordon Gebert and Bob McAdams both have written an excellent book of the amazing times they shared with the "man" who is Ace Frehley and KISS. KISS fans have been subjected to many opportunistic embellishments by writers who barely know Mr. Frehley and KISS, and for this reason and because of the fact that I am personal friends of both, the honest, and friendly writers, I cannot understand some of the scathing remarks made by those that have read the book but do not know any of the involved parties. I would urge KISS fans to judge for yourself. It is about time the true story was written.

Summary: KISS & Tell ROCKS!
Review: This book is on my all-time favorite books ever read. HYSTERICAL! I read it on a plane and I laughed out loud the whole trip. Two people next to me said they were going to buy it just by my reactions.

Summary: Poor quality
Review: A disapointing poorly written and edited book. The photos are low quality and uninteresting. Gordon had contempt for the band before hitching a ride with Ace. When he found out that it wasn't his ticket to stardom he trashes Ace and calls himself a friend. Bob seems to think he alone is the reason Ace became a star. They say they wrote this book because they got tired of having to tell the stories again. It seems to me that they just want to get paid for it.

Summary: GREAT BOOK!
Review: KISS & Tell is without a doubt one of the best books I ever read. I literally could not put it down. I recently heard the author, Gordon Gebert, on 93.3 The Planet with Carrie Martin. The guy is hysterical. I'm looking forward to any book he puts out. Sign me "a new Gebert fan."

Summary: Get a life Gordo
Review: What a piece of self-serving trash. Yes, it was mildly amusing, but this is basically a former friend spewing bile and ALWAYS being the wiser man in every situation. Gee, Gord if you're so smart, why aren't you the big rock star that you so wish you are. Ace is portrayed as a pathetic loser, while Gor is always making things right. As a book, this reads like the Nat'l Enquirer, it makes me want to take a big dump. At least I have something to wipe with.

Summary: Very interesting
Review: This is a very interesting book and formatted in such an amusing way. While it does fracture the image I had of Ace, it just goes to show you how fame and fortune can corrupt. If your looking for juicy tidbits or very funny stories (some just make him sound pathetic) this is the book for you. If you have some image of KISS as being more than the real people that they are, this is NOT the book for you.
