Rating: Summary: WAY TOO MUCH INFORMATION!!! Review: There is one thing I have to say in Ace's defence---He's human. If these guys couldn't accept that fact, then there is something wrong with them. The book was okay, but I really didnt need to know about some of the things Ace did....I DO NOT need to know who's girlfriend jerked Ace off, nor do I need to know that the one who shared this story was going to get laid or not..keep stories like that to yourself!! Most of the book was good, but there were some things that should have been kept under wraps...Like confidental court documents
Rating: Summary: Interesting, entertaining, and a good easy read Review: I've been a KISS fan since there was a KISS and I was a young adolescent. After reading this book I remain a die hard KISS fan. Both Gordon and Bob did a good job putting the stories in this book together. All I got out of it is that Ace is human, liked to joke around (like most of us), and unfortunately didn't take the best care of himself. That's his problem, not mine. I still love him for what he represents and the music he helped create. I'm glad I read it and you will be too whether you are a KISS fan or not.

Don Silvernail / KISS Madniss Fanzine "... an entertaining and often hilarious account of misspent days accompanying Ace Frehley. ....outrageous and sometimes shocking.... reminiscences border on an almost Spinal Tap insanity and hilarity.... it's a must-read." Ken Sharp / The Rock Report / Friday Morning Quarterback "I totally read this book called "KISS & Tell." It's all the bad stuff about him (Ace Frehley), like all his cocaine addictions and pranks he plays. It's really good, it makes him sound cooler, I think.... I actually like him a lot better now." Allison of The Donnas / MTV News Feature Interview
Rating: Summary: a great read for any open minded kiss fan. Review: Great stories about Ace. A look at the human sides of one of the most flashy bands of all time. If you are a Kiss fan, you need to take it with a grain of salt. Met the author at a Kiss convention. Real nice guy. This book is worth a look.
Rating: Summary: "For Inquring Minds" Review: I won't lie--- its' an entertainig read, but so is the National Enquirer. Basically, a one-sided smear campaign of rock guritar god, Ace Frehley, who we all know has been through the riggers of rock stardom. Probably, there is some truth in some of their stories---However, we must remind ourselves that obviously drugs, alcohol, and money were abused by not only Ace, but the authors as well; which in my view takes heavily away their credability. Obviously, they feel cheated out of money by Ace, and writing this "stuff" probably got them a nice pay-day. No matter what happened in those times, Frehley fans should rejoice that their hero has appearantly found his soul and to realize that he is if nothing more ---"human" like the rest of us.
Rating: Summary: Kiss and Tell about Ace only, not other members Review: Although this book is titled Kiss and Tell, it is really only about Ace Frehley and not the other members of the band. The book is a compilation of stories told first hand by friends/wanna be's during different periods of Ace's career. There are a lot of detail missing about his career and rise and fall, but the stories are amusing. This is not a detailed VH1 biography or a Hammer of the Gods, but it is an amusing, short read.
Rating: Summary: Don't read this book if you worship Ace Review: This book totally shattered my image of Ace Frehley in a single afternoon. I bought this book at 3pm and was so engrossed with it that I could not put it down, I finished the book around 9pm. Great book if you hate Ace. I don't. Or at least I didn't, or hell, I don't know. This book just really put my brain in a tailspin and I'm not sure if I can hold Ace in the same regards ever again.
Rating: Summary: Mudslinging at its finest Review: The author has some major problems with Ace Frehley obviously. The author seems pretty angry and this is how he can jump on the KISS bandwagon and make some quick cash. Hey, I bought it for the trashy stories too. Who am I to complain? Still, if you are a KISS fan and are tired of the books that detail boring tour itineraries, this is the book for you.
Rating: Summary: Ace Frehley's Dirty Laundry Review: "Kiss and Tell" is one of those books that is a guilty pleasure. It's like a train wreck... you want to look away, but you can't. The authors are both former buddies of KISS lead guitarist Ace Frehley (albeit during different time periods). They were ostensibly "employed" by the band, but were equally utilized as paid social companions. Frehley is depicted as a physically abhorrent slob who doesn't flush toilets, will have sex with anything that moves, has bisexual tendencies, and lies, cheats, and steals from everyone with whom he is associated. Toward the end of the book we learn that Frehley is suing lead author Gordon Gebert, but that does little to discredit the narrative. No one could make stuff like this up. We learn that Gene Simmons loves the women, especially celebrities, but that he doesn't care for drink and drugs. Paul Stanley, though barely mentioned, is painted as insecure in his romantic relationships. Peter Criss is said to have the worst of the addiction problems, besides which fact he is a terrible drummer. The literary form is informal, the structure meandering, the editing terrible, and I really enjoyed this book.
