Summary: Huge Disappointment!!!
Review: I bought this book expecting to find out all the juicy details of Beth's life as Lorelei. Instead, all the book describes is a few uninteresting events, most of which we find out later was made up in the mind of the character based on partial similarities to Beth's life. For example, killing the step father and going to New York and all the happenings there. The story line on Guiding Light hints that the diary contains so much more, like a romantic connection to Bill Lewis for example. This book in my opinion is not worth your money. I bought it at the local bookstore and read it in one day, not because it was a good book, but because I wanted to keep reading to get to the good part, which unfortunately never came. I decided it wasn't worth the money and returned it the next day for a full refund.

Review: I enjoy romance novels and I got this book after seeing Beth on the Early show. I read the whole book the same day. I have never been a viewer of soap operas but i am curious to tune in to Guiding Light to see Beth and what happens with the diary. I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a good romance novel.

Review: I have been a long time fan of Guding Light. I started watching the show with my girlfriend in college and I have been hooked for the past fifteen years. Beth and Phillip have always been my two favorite characters on the show so when I heard that Beth was going to disappear and a new character was going to come on in her place, I was very unhappy. Well, it turned out to be Lorelei, one of the most engaging, entertaining and funny characters to ever appear on this show. I picked up this book on the way to the airport for a cross-country flight and I was finished by the time the plane landed. When I got home I read it all over again and liked it just as well the second time around. Beth Chamberlin is a gifted actress and she has successfully carried her artistry into the literary arena. If you like romance, you will like this book...every time you read it!

Summary: Lorelei's Guiding Light
Review: I have not been a viewer of Guiding Light very long but I was very intrigued by the idea of Lorelei's Guiding Light. The book was a fast read, though at times the events were so wild it took awhile to figure out what was happening. This is not a big complaint because I think it was appropriate: I was learning what was going on the same time Lorelei was trying to remember the events! I liked the secondary characters, Maggie and Father John, and the scenes when Lorelei was on the run were exciting. I thought the author did a good job tying the t.v. show's plot to the book (this storyline was one of the first Guiding Light stories I've followed). It will be interesting to see if there will be anymore followup books. I think having books based soap operas is a neat idea.
