Summary: A tree died for this awful book!
Review: I read this poor imitation of a romance novel with expectations of being entertained and 'moved'. Instead, I found myself making grammatical corrections with a red pen. Who wrote this book? Guiding Light has enough problems - adding a book about the most hated character ever to disgrace the show makes no sense. This Lorelei apparently wrote a book in the 30 day period while her alter ego character, Beth, was on vacation. Fans applauded and celebrated during the 4 week Bethless period - then Lorelei polluted our screens and it was Beth times two. Don't waste your hard earned money on this pathetic attempt at writing. In about 2 weeks the book should be at your local 99 cent store in the 'please take me away' bin.

Summary: interesting
Review: I think the book was very interesting. It expained things that had happen that Guiding Light didn't air. Also, there are plot points that could be used in the future on Guiding Light. Some interesting storytelling to come.

Summary: I give this one a thumbs up!!
Review: If your a GL fan then read this book. I could hardly put it down and I've been watching GL for 22 years. GREAT Job Beth!

Summary: Save your money!
Review: It's hard to focus on the content of this book - what little there is - when trying to muddle through the grammatical and mechanical errors. (I understand this is written as a diary - but come on! At least insert some personality in order to compensate for poor writing skills!) There's not much of a story to sink your teeth into and there's no continuity between the events of the book and the current storyline that is in place for the character. Ms. Chamberlin is a fine actress whose character is an important part of the show's long history; I'm hopeful she'll keep her day job!

Summary: Enjoyed the book
Review: My sister bought this book & I borrowed it from her. I enjoyed reading its contents. Although, I don't like the character Lorelei Hills, I did find it entertaining on what happen to her since she washed up in Mexico. I much prefer the character of Beth Raines, but, understand the character of Lorelei Hills better. I would buy the book myself if my sister hadn't bought it.

Summary: Couldn't Put It Down
Review: On the soap opera Guiding Light, we learned in August 2001 that beloved Beth Raines had been swept away in a flash flood. She was down in Mexico getting a divorce from Edmund Winslow, the wrong guy who controlled her. This decision came after she was imprisoned in a tower at the castle in San Cristobel, and fell to make her escape. After narrowly escaping she fled the hospital to get a divorce, and Edmund followed her to get his fortunes from her, having her kidnapped and forced to sign papers which would entitle him to a share in her fortune. She was near the bank of a river when Edmund told her to get up, for all her life she'd been doing what men had told her to do, so she took a stand and said no, and she was swept away in a flood, and presumed dead.

When Beth returned, she was Lorelei, a very different person. Beth suffered from multiple personalities. This book shares the backstory of what happened to Beth in her three months she was missing, what she was doing as Lorelei, as she was trying to piece together who she was. It's a very interesting read, I couldn't put this book down. It has everything, romance, gossip, intrigue, mystery, suspense, and more! It's a must have for the die hard Guiding Light fan, or even if you don't watch the show you can enjoy this book as well. The actress Beth Chamberlain wrote this book, and it is an intimate diary with every secret detail, and she has a promising career in writing, she wrote this very well! Overall check this out, its a great addition for the Guiding Light fan or the fan of romance novels. A must read!

Summary: Who exactly thought THIS was a good idea?
Review: This book is just as pathetic as the "Beth dies on a waterslide ride" in Mexico storyline. If Guiding Light wants to explain the character of Lorelei to its long-suffering fans, maybe they should do it on the show. So far, they haven't. This book is truly a waste of paper. I just picked it up at the library; I'd never, ever buy it.

Summary: Really deserves - 100 STARS!
Review: This book that is being promoted as part of GL's 50th Anniversary is the biggest farce. The grammar and sentence structure are at best that of a third grader. The content is incredibly boring and full of run on sentences. I continued reading hoping it would get better. About half way through I gave up. It is a good thing that I split the cost with 10 other people. Of the 10 only 2 thought is was mildly entertaining. Best bet is to skip this book altogether.
