Summary: First Aid for a Broken Heart
Review: Time does heal a broken heart. But, while you're waiting for time to pass this is the best book ever. I have a copy of this by my bed and an extra to give out "in case of emergency". Buy two.... one for you and one for the next time the phone rings and someone is hurting.

Summary: How to Survive the loss of a love
Review: My husband cat21hurt, used to give out copies of this book free to people within our relatives and friends who lost a late loved one. You can only find the book here not at any book store no more. The book helps persons deal with grief so much simple in getting them though it. A cousin once said the " The book how to survive the loss of a love is much better then a sympathy card".

Summary: Pleasantly Surprised
Review: Great advice such as give yourself time to heal.
Touched on many tough aspects of grief. Well done.
I also liked Writing from Your Heart, A Healing Grief Journal that I found on Amazon. I am finding it easier to deal with grief when I understand it and put my fellings in my memory journal.
I loved these two books. I also purchased After the Tears, A Gentle Guide to Help Children Understand Death (video) for my children. I have found these resources to be helpful.
Keep up the good work. I look forward to future books.

Summary: Phenomenal for Broken Souls
Review: As a psychologist, this book was one of my saviors when I was traveling through clinical depression; it allowed me to caress my soul and soothe my broken heart. I recommend to all my clients who have suffered a devastating loss.

Summary: How to Survive the Loss of a Love
Review: I found this book extremely helpful after a ten-year relationship ended quite abruptly. What I found helpful was that the chapters were somewhat short, which allowed me to read them through and contemplate their meaning. I read and re-read the chapters over a period of 3 months, and finally I identified myself in each of the chapters, allowing me to let go of the pain.

Summary: Helpful for myself, and others.
Review: Reading "How to Survive" helped me immensely after my mother passed into eternal life. I have also found it helpful to give a copy to friends and relatives who struggle with the experience of losing a loved one, and we all agree -- it is a tremendous help in grieving.

I also recommend How We Die, by Dr. Nuland. This was a big help in understanding particularly the physical functions of the body as we die.

Summary: Easy To Digest Comfort
Review: When you are newly-bereaved, sometimes, lengthy wisdom is too heavy to handle. That is why books like How To Survive The Loss of a Love are needed. In this book, comfort can be experienced during the gut-wrenching seasons of life by reading short selections here and there. Sometimes a thought or quote to ponder and reflect on can help to carry us through a tough day.
Many of the inspiring and truth-filled nuggets of solace from this book I have written on notecards. I use these as references in my own writing and workshop sessions.

Review: The best thing about this brilliant book is that you can open it to any page and get comfort. I've bought this for several widowed people, and have read it myself after every break up. It's a life saver you will treasure forever! Trust me!
