Summary: We will reunite with our beloved pets
Review:

The author has done a wonderful, inspired job of writing; we are certainly left with real hope that we may reunite with our precious animal companions in Heaven. In addition he shares some marvelous stories of animal-human interaction, including some that we have all seen in the news.

I would like to make several other recommendations here as well, since there is no category as of yet specifically on animal afterlife, on-line (or in any other lists for that matter).

Because of this and the fact that there are so few books written on this subject, those in grief over the loss of a pet often find themselves desperately searching, and miss out. Here is a list of all the books that I know of dealing with afterlife of animals;
Amazon.com has sites on all of them where can visit to learn more on each respective title.

"Cold Noses at the Pearly Gates".Excellently done: inspired compassionate, fully-Biblical

"The Soul of Your Pet". Convincing, credible evidence regarding animals' existing after death.Interactions with pets that have passed on. Will defy skeptics.

"Will I See Fido in Heaven?". Solidly Christian, inspired, loving; includes passages from 2 books of the Apocrypha that address the topic, as well.

"For Every Dog an Angel". Angel stays with pup from birth, on; we eventually are reunited, each "forever person" with his or her "forever pet(s)". Written for children, adults will love even more. Wonderful!

"Dog Heaven". For children; adults will enjoy as well

"Cat Heaven" Children/adults

"All Dogs Go to Heaven". Well-known, has a story-line.

Summary: A Godsend in my time of Grief
Review: I just finished reading Gary Kurz books "Cold Noses I and II, and can say without a shadow of a doubt that it was a God-send to me. I lost my 151/2 year old tea cup poodle in December, and have been devastated. I felt desperate to have some answers to my many questions and Gary seemed to read my mind as to the answers I needed to hear. How comforting to know that I will see my beloved companion again in the hereafter and perhaps even be able to communicate with her. Gary had extensive studies to prove his points, it was not just ideas or feelings or new age thinking... I can't thank Gary Kurz enough for helping my hurting heart. I also learned alot about scriptures that I had overlooked in my life. I HIGHLY recommend this book to those of you who need to be helped with your pain in the loss of your pet, and I would even recommend this book as great reading for people who have not suffered the loss of their pet yet. I hope Gary Kurz comes out with yet a third book, I can't wait to hear what else he has to say.

Summary: A GEM!
Review: This may not be nice to say, but I found my first copy of this book at a yard sale and bought it for ten cents. It had a catchy title and so I thought "what the heck". I was so happy to have found this book. You know what they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure. In this case it was true. I loved this book. But I read it at a time when I really did not have a need to. My Gunther (my dog) was doing fine. However, recently, we lost Gunther and we were just devastated. I remembered Gary's book, but I just could not find it anywhere. Well, I found it again on Amazon and purchased a copy, not for ten cents, but at any price I had to have another copy of this little book. God bless you Gary and thank you for writing.

Summary: Comforting and Helpful
Review: When someone losses a special part of their family, their pets, they tend to search for some type of help. When my husband and I lost our wonderful dog Toby,we searched the internet for books about the loss of pets,to see if we could find the answers we wanted so desperately to know. The book we loved the best was titled:"COLD NOSES AT THE PEARLY GATES." We found this book to be so comforting and helpful because of its great contents such as a look at the principals used to research about animal afterlife.Cold Noses At The pearly Gates also explains about creature or creation. We also enjoyed reading about the ability animals have to communicate and the discussion about life. The most comfort and help we received from this book was that we learned that Toby was in God's presence. This book is an easy book to read and understand and it will keep your attention. Not only does it deal with pet loss but it also has some humor stories to help uplift your spirit as well. There is also a place that teaches you certain things about caring for your pets.My husband and I highly recommend this book. It is very well written and it is certainly a book that you will want to read over again, and once you read this book, you will understand why it was given the name: "COLD NOSES AT THE PEARLY GATES"

Summary: Very Comforting, Heartfelt Pet Loss Support Reference
Review: This is a wonderful book which offers rare insights and comforts on the question of whether we will see our beloved pets again in Heaven. Raised as a Christian and an animal lover, I have always been bothered by some "teachings" that try to say that animals do not have souls. You only need to look into your dog or cats loving eyes to know that they indeed do have souls, no doubt! In his book, Gary Kurz shows by way of his bible research, that animals definitely have souls, and that they will surely be waiting for us in Heaven.

This book is a MUST for all Christian animal lovers, specially for anyone who is grieving or missing a beloved pet who has passed on to the Rainbow Bridge.

In addition to his fine research and writing, the author brings to this book his heartfelt concern and caring for others. The author truly cares for folks who are struggling with the loss of a pet and his motivation is to give comfort and healing. An added bonus, too, are the extra animal stories included in the book which are heart warming and enjoyable.

I highly recommend COLD NOSES AT THE PEARLY GATES to anyone who loves animals!

Summary: Comforting but slightly flawed
Review: This is a wonderful book for any pet owner who has lost ther beloved companion animal. But the theology is a little off. No, make that WAY, way off. My advice is to read the book with a grain of salt and when there is a biblical referance (and there are many) read the entire chapter of the bible from which the reference came. Do dogs really go to heaven? Well of course they do. They have kinder souls than most humans (as do cats, birds, ferets etc.) but not necessarily for the reasons this author states. After reading this book you must also ask yourself ... do New York City subway rats go to heaven? Do rattlesnakes who have killed humans go to heaven? Do spiders and frogs go to heaven? This book is a great springboard for lots of debates and many discussions.

Summary: The BEST!
Review: This book is beautifully written and was the only thing that got me through the most difficult time of my life. Gary Kurtz's comforting words and explanations of how and why our pets go to heaven were the answer to my prayers. He lays everything out in simple terms to prove his points. But he also includes the most heartwarming stories of pets and their relationships with people as well. This author is the most perceptive I've ever read- he understands exactly what his readers need, especially since he, himself, has gone through the same agony, and gives them great hope and optimism at the time they need it the most. I would absolutely recommend this as the first thing to reach for when anyone undergoes the loss of a beloved pet.
