Rating: Summary: Book on a Marine Sniper that stalks the VC's worst men. Review: Best book that I have ever read. Could not put it down, it had descripive writing, comedy, action, suspence, and emotions. If I a 14 year old teenager liked it than, every one should like it.
Rating: Summary: " Great Fiction Novel " Review: I have read 11 books todate on sniping and snipers. Most of which were great, but this one sounds more like a comic book. I was almost embarrassed by how arrogant and self-centered the book was.You want the truth un-masked and untarnished check out Michael Lanning's"Inside the Crosshairs" or Joe Ward's"Dear Mom a Sniper's Vietnam".
Rating: Summary: An OUTSTANDING story about a real life hero!!!!! Review: As a Marine Staff Sergeant I have read this book a total of six times. There is one thing that I expect of all my Marines and that is that they read this book and learn about a legend in our Corps' history. Every Marine both young and old, former, present and future need to know the legacy. Gunny Hathcock recently passed on on 01 March of this year. Behind him he leaves a son carrying on the Hathcock name in the same manner. There are two types of people, those who have read this book and those who need to. Gunny I know that you are watching over us all, Semper Fidelis!!! SSgt Gilman
Rating: Summary: "OUTSTANDING" Review: I have read about Gunny Hathcock and his exploits in Nam over many times. The book is an excellent read. I suggest that every Marine and Soldier, young and old read this book and revel in the grit of a true warrior. I just found out the Carlos Hathcock recently passed away on 3/1/99 and i'm sure there is a place for him in that section of heaven where good Marines are found, probably on duty at the gates. again great book.
Rating: Summary: Captures you from the opening page - a true Marine hero! Review: Being from a military family (father was a drill instructor and lifelong NCO), I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Carlos' experience brought my father's experiences closer to reality for me.
Rating: Summary: brilliant Review: This book truly shows the story of the single greatest real life rambo ever. Anyone else who thinks they got the stuff, forget it. This legend is the man, mack, and master. Great book, a definite must read for anyone.
Rating: Summary: It was the greatest sniper book I have ever read. Review: This book was great because it was all true. I am a great lover of guns and snipering.
Rating: Summary: Unable to put it down from beginning to end Review: Being a former Marine, I found myself carried back 25 years ago. Gunny Hathcock has left us now, but his legacy will live on forever.. Gunny.. here's to you... BRASS Semper Fi..
Rating: Summary: A MUST read for every american! Review: This is the greatest vietnam book I have ever read. Everyone needs to read it to learn more about their american culture and what the men did over there. Carlos N. Hathcock is a legendary marine sniper, the best.
