Summary: Outstanding!
Review: Gunnery Sgt. Hathcock exemplifies what it means to be a true warrior. This country should be proud of the accomplishments and contributions he made in the art of sniping. Hathcock is a true American hero. Having read this book at least 5 times, I am continually amazed at the efforts he and his spotter went to to do their jobs. A fine read.

Summary: the best book i ever read!!!
Review: I loved this book! It took you into the mind and fellings of the well know sniper Charlos Hathcock. This book goes into detail about movements and how things looked the way Charlos Hathcock saw it. I recomend this book to anyone who wants some action in there reading.

Summary: Suspensful, a real life look into the snipers of Vietnam.
Review: The story of Carlos Hathcock is one that should be taught in American History classes. He is truly an American hero. Through deep jungle strikes and assassinations of NVA leaders he keeps the reader's attention. What a great book. A must read for all Vietnam buffs!!

Summary: "A Great Story"
Review: This is a great book about a great individual. It is very inspiring, moving, descriptive, and intense. Although I prefer to read war stories in the first person ("I saw..." "We marched...") and was skeptical at first about reading this book being told in the 3rd person, it did not feel like fiction at all or disappoint me one bit. I did feel that the Elephant Valley story and possibly the General story was told better in "One Shot-One Kill" (by Charles W. Sasser and Craig Roberts) though. However, I can't take anything away from this book, and it is as good as everyone says it is. Go get it.

Summary: Not Bad
Review: This book is well written and explains all aspects of sniper warfare. After reading several books about the Vietnam conflict I enjoyed reading about a job not written about very often. This book is a nice change of pace and offers a unique perspective from the "war". My only complaint would be that the book is too "pro-military". Other than that, if you read many books about Vietnam, (as I do) I would recommend this book.

Summary: Hathcock: Humble Hero
Review: Normally I don't read war books, but I could not put "Marine Sniper" down for a moment. It gave me a glimpse of a sniper's mind and the things they must endure to accomplish their mission. I know Gunny Hathcock personally, and to know such a man is a great honor. His Vietnam feats were extraoridinary, but he is not boastful or vain, he simply tells the truth. This book exemplifies the true American hero.

Summary: Very Good
Review: MARINE SNIPER by Henderson was a very good book. It kept the attention of not only me but also some other people who I lent the book too. There were times in the book when I did not want to let it down. And there were times when I fell asleep while reading it. There is very little vulgarity if any in the book. But I will warn you that sometimes the book can tend be graphic.

Summary: A great book
Review: I loved this book, I would have liked to heard from more witnesses regarding Hathcock, but overall, once you start the book you cannot put it down.
