Summary: second helpings has me wanting more
Review: I absolutely adored Sloppy Firsts and I was nervous at first that Second Helpings wouldn't live up to my high expectations. But it totally surpassed Sloppy Firts by far. This witty and hilarious Jessica is great. The story is funny yet relatable. The beginning is a tad bit slow..but it doesn't take long for the book to pick up. I loved this book. I finished it and was so upset I just wanted to hear more and more..I couldn't put it down. If you liked Sloppy Firsts -- you will definitely enjoy this book. :)

Summary: This books ROCKS!
Review: I have waited and waited to get this book, and once I got it, I read it in one night. This book picks up right where the last one left off, and I had to know what happened to Jessica! It's as good as the first book, and the characters seem so real--like they could easily be my friends. I hope Megan continues to write such awesome books!

Summary: Truly Great Novel
Review: I have no words to describe how much I love this book. I liked the first one, but I could never have predicted how great the second book would be.
Jessica is one of the most funny, intelligent, and honest characters that I can really relate to. Her comments are insightful and perfect. And I absolutely LOVE her "relationship" with Marcus Flutie.
I read the book in less than a day, and have read some parts so much that I practically know them by heart.
I would recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: Megan McCafferty rocks the book world!
Review: I have been waiting anxiously for this book, Second Helpings, and I LOVED IT!!! Sloppy Firsts was so original in the telling of the story about Jessica Darling and her view of life, despite being so like the high school I remember. Second Helpings is an amazing follow up novel! It is a book for everyone, with wonderful characters and the familiar themes of life at all ages. Who hasn't struggled with choices in our life, albeit the right school, job, love life, living... Jessica handles it all with true graciousness and humor. I truly think this book will appeal to anyone who is in need of a wonderful story that will keep you engrossed for hours! And really, who isn't!!! I will be waiting for the next Megan McCafferty book with an anxiousness that does not apply to many authors. These words do not do the book justice, so I recommend you JUST GO BUY IT AND LOVE IT!!!

Summary: Does Jessica go to my high school?
Review: After reading the first book, I actually started a diary because many of the things that Jessica Darling had said were so similar to thoughts I had had that I felt I needed to write them down. I bought the book at 3:00 and finished it at 7:00. I know a book is great when I'm completely enthralled for 4 hours. The second book was no different. Jessica's growth during the course of the book manifests itself in such creative ways. Although it was written for teenagers and was supposedly in the voice of a teenager, it was profound at points. Maybe the fact that I was reading it at 3:00 a.m. was the reason I found it so insightful, but that aside, I completely loved it. It was somewhat predictable in areas but not in a corny, J-Lo movie kind of way. I was so excited to see how Megan McCafferty would write her story. Many people who buy this book will also buy Gossip Girl or Georgia Nicolson's latest English intrigue. I feel that this book is so much different than those because they are so unrealistic and juvenille. This book truly nails the high school experience. I think anyone who has ever been a girl in high school should read this because it is such a true-to-life look at the mind of a 17 year-old.

Review: AAAAAAAAH!!!! This book was soooo good. The first one was amazing, but this was even better.
Jessica Darling is back in this hilarious novel about her senior year. While she is fertile once again, she is still a virgin and still angry at He Who Shall Remain Nameless (the Dreg-turned-genius formerly known as Marcus Flutie).
Jess faces many of the same problems as before, with some new ones such as her not-too-subtle grandmother Gladdie, where to go to college, how to avoid Marcus as well as the Clueless Two, and dealing with a pregnant Bethany.
McCafferty's second novel has the same writing style that made you fall in love with Jessica in the first place. Observant and sarcastic, Jess is one of the most relatable characters in teen literature.
A supporting cast of characters like Percy aka Pepe, Len Levy, Gladdie, even Paul Parlipiano and Taryn Baker make this book even more enjoyable.
It just screams, READ ME!!!!

Summary: Beyond the best
Review: This book rocked my socks. I recomend nobody to read it until after the third one (oh please let there be a third one) comes out. This is because i now NEED to know what is going to happen to Jessica and Marcus and the many other charictors. This book is very well written. it gives a satisfying end to the novel but i still need there to be another novel on Jessica Darling. I recomend everyone to read this book unless you are like me and need there to be another book that tells us how jessica has a fanitastic life with "someone" (i wont give it away) and lives hapily ever after. This book is a must to read.

Summary: Ammmaaazzziinnnng!!
Review: Oh wow.. this book was really good. Like.... really really good. The type of good that just leaves you there hanging... kinda regretting that it ended.

Jessica is now a senior, and helplessly in love with Marcus Flutie. But when Marcus proposes her a new idea of her going out with his best friend--Len... she's not sure if it's right.

And then there's the debate over college. She's narrowed it down to 4 safe colleges that she and her parents agree to. But when her formoer love and obssession--Paul Parlipiano--showed her Columbia, she just knew it was meant for her. But there's too many problems with that. It's in NYC... where 9/11 happened... and she just KNOWS her parents would never let her.

Then there's the Pinevill Low going around to everyone'e email adressess giving everyone the latest dirt on EVERYONE. The one question is... who's behind it?

Gladdie--Jess's grandmother--is crazy and whacky. But she's always there for advice and support. Jessica loves her, and what she loves even more, is that Marcus works at the nursing home that Gladdie stays by.

Go through senior year in the eyes of Jessica Darling. Megan McCafferty portrayed the mind of teenage girl so well, it may sometimes write exactly what your thinking. Manda and Scotty, Pepe (Percy) and Bridget, Sara, Len, Marcus and Jessica take you on a funny, romantic, and a teenage adventure that will only leave you asking for more.

After I finished the book, I quickly re-read all of my favorite parts (Mostly Marcus and Jess parts...: Þ). However good was the first book, this book was WAY better. I honestly hope that Megan McCafferty will write another book to the series.

Summary: Sooo on target
Review: I really enjoyed Sloppy Firsts. And I was enjoying the first part of Second Helpings, where Jessica is attending a summer program. And then I read on to the part of the book where she goes back to high school for her senior year... and as I was reading I started thinking to myself, this book is beyond just good, it's incredible. This is the BEST and most honest observation of high school I have ever read. And funny, and fun to read and....

I've already read it twice, it is THAT good. Trust me, even if you're out of high school, you'll love this book.
