Rating: Summary: Get me some pliers and uncurl my toes! Review: This is the best Black Lace book I've read since "Outlaw Fantasy" (what happened to that book, anyway?) - which is saying something. You can really put yourself in the shoes (basque, french knickers, leather trousers etc) of the characters in this story and for me that makes it extra-hot. Lots of wild and different stuff but for once nothing that made me squirm! The boys are gorgeous, the heroine is not only someone you'd like to be, but someone you'd like to meet. And unlike so much erotica the ending is wholly satisfactory. Mmmmm. Ms Holly's next book is waiting on my pillow as I type, so I think I'll just end here ...
Rating: Summary: The story of Menage Review: When two handsome grad students move into Kate Winthrop's Philadelphia townhouse, the once-burned divorcee thrills to having two young admirers, at least until the evening she finds them in bed - with each other! Sensitive Joe is mortified. Badboy Sean challenges her to join in. Aroused by their show, she accepts. The adventure that ensues is more intense than any of them expected, and more fun. But can three lovers live happily ever after . . . together?
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT... Anyway You Look At It ! Review: As a new reader of the Black Lace series I was'nt sure what to expect, But I was more than pleasantly surprised.Emma Holly has surged to the forefront of my list of favorite authors with "MENAGE" . Being a native Philadelphian (where the story is set I appreciated the many references to places I grew up around. But believe me, my life was never half as exciting as Kate's !! The book is hot, the characters are hot, and the writing is super. But the main thing is, you care about these people and you want them to be happy and find some sort of amiicable solution to their situation. I will readily admit I fell in love with Joe in the first chapter, and rooted for his success- both professionally and romantically throughout the book. If your looking for a steamy romantic fantasy, grab this book - and do it now ! You have no idea what your missing .
Rating: Summary: Great read for fans of erotica Review: This is a great read for those of us who are fans of bold erotica. The characters are tempting, the plot captivating and the erotica - ooh la la! I certainly look forward to finding other selections by Emma Holly.
Rating: Summary: GET GLOVES, THIS BOOK IS HOT!!! Review: I LOVED THE FIGHT BETWEEN KATE AND SEAN OVER THE SEXY JOE. THE PLOT LINE ABOUT OFFICE POLI-SEXY, WAS VERY BELIEVABLE. THIS IS A FAST READ, BECAUSE THE AUTHOR STICKS TO THE THREE MAIN PLOT LINES. THE SOME-WHAT VILLIAN WAS GOOD. I WOULD DEFINATLY READ MS. HOLLY NEW RELEASES.
Rating: Summary: Emma Holly is master of the pen Review: The name fits for this my second Black Lace erotica novel. Two men, one woman and a whole lot of hot steamy loving. But this is not just an erotic tale, it is a romance, for in the end love conquers all. Three is company and three is deee -vine. Emma Holly is master of the pen; her characters will leave you hypnotized. I am on to my second Emma Holly - Cooking Up A Storm.
Rating: Summary: The BEST Black Lace book ever written! Review: This book kept my toes curled the whole time I was reading. Content was great and in line with what is happening in this era. This is hot reading, taking the reader right into the moment.
Rating: Summary: A good, sizzling hot love story with intelligent characters Review: I first read Menage as a work-in-progress, and it was impressive then! Emma Holly is one author to read no matter what the plot. She understands heat, she understands romance, and she understands what intelligent readers want from erotic novels in terms of characters, dialogue/language usage, plot, and well, sex. She is one writer for whom I break my "I don't read contemporary romances" rule. She doesn't stereotype her characters, and I would love to mean Sean, Joe, and Kate--heck, I'd love to shop at Mostly Romance (Kate's store in the book)! She visits most every kink that works for me in Ménage. Sean and Joe cut the mustard for me--they're sweet, and they're hot, and I want to know where I can find them... The dialogue is snappy--as opposed to much of the erotica I have read to date (saving Laura Antoniou, Pat Califia, and some of the writers Cecelia Tan edits), the story is honest (you can believe that these people exist, and that they would behave the way the story unfolds), and there are no no-win-for-heroine headgames. I hope she likes writing...fast.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: This is a wonderful, hot, sexy book. I really enjoyed it and eagerly await the publishing of Cooking Up A Storm. I could easily relate to Kate and her feelings for her two boarders - Joe and Sean. There is romance, passion, love, tenderness, comedy and great sex in this book, and quite frankly, what more could one ask for? This book has it all. And kisses to Emma for her wonderful ending. No, I won't reveal it - you'll just have to read it for yourself.
Rating: Summary: Menage Is delicious!! Review: I just finished reading Emma Holly's novel of two men loving the same woman and found it to be both sweet and daring. There is plenty of humor and insight into the mechanics of such a delicious fantasy...the love of two men willing(or almost completely willing) to share the affections of a woman. The author uses the city of Philadephia as a backdrop for the story and also includes a wonderful bookstore. The author also maintains a safe sex theme throughout the book. I appreciated that most of all. In the end the story is full of romance and plenty of 'erotic heat'. I have read excerpts of her next novel 'Cooking Up a Storm' and cannot wait to read the rest of the book. Black Lace has hit upon a great writer.
