Summary: I NEED MORE STARS PLEASE.....!!!
Review: Usually when I order or buy a book I always read maybe two or three pages then come back to it later. With this book I started at 9:30 that night and by 3:15 that morning I was finished!!! Shades Of Jade was a good book!!!!!! I kept saying to myself I'll just read this chapter and put it down. I couldn't put this book down until page 245 which is the last page!

Shades Of Jade is about a woman (Marissa) that only dates married men for her own personal reasons. Her best friend Charmaine dislikes her lifestyle and constantly warns her that: ONE OF THESE DAYS YOU'RE GONNA MESS WITH THE WRONG WOMAN'S HUSBAND! Marissa ignores her best friend until she starts receiving threatening phone calls, hang ups and disturbing letters. By Chapter four I thought I knew who the stalker was, but as the plot thicken I wasn't sure. When I finally find out who it was I was totally SUPRISED! In a million of years I would have never guess the stalker..........NEVER!

Gloria, you did a EXCELLENT job on writing this book! This book is full of DRAMA, LIES AND SUSPENSE! This book will keep you turning the pages until you are finished! I HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone you will be in for a suprise by the end!
This book deserves more than five stars just for the ending......
My mouth is still opened from who the stalker was!!!!!!!!

GO GET THIS ONE YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPONITED!!!

Summary: A true pageturner!
Review: I'm not usually a fan of mystery/suspense novels, but when I read the back cover of this book I thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad that I did! "Shades of Jade" is a well-written, suspenseful story. Marissa is a thirty-something, successful single woman who prides herself on selectively dating only professional, moneyed, married men. Although her best friend tries to get Marissa to see the error of her ways, the real wake call begins when Marissa starts to receive threatening phone calls, letters and...well, you'll have to read it to find out....

If you're a fan of light mystery, you'll more than likely enjoy this book. And even if you aren't, give it a try anyway. I think you'll find Gloria Malette a talented storyteller.

Summary: One Man's Trash is another man's treasure
Review: Within the pages of Shades of Jade is a gem, a message hard learned for many women who choose to go out with married men. I overheard women on my job discussing this book and out of curiosity, I borrowed the book from one of them. Two days later I was purchasing the book for two female relatives who had dated married men for years. And miracle of miracles, both announced they were swearing off married men. What family had been telling them for years: get your own man finally got through to them. One of them said, she never thought about the wives and children of the men she went out with before, she never cared that they were being hurt. Shades of Jade was an eye-opener for my relatives. Maybe it will be an eye-opener for many others like Marissa who've chosen none to wisely.

Oh, the suspense when Marissa was being stalked was off the hook. I finished the book in a day and a half. Gloria Mallete has a new fan in me. I'm hooked.

Summary: WARNING/BEWARE...of what lurks behind the cover!
Review: Do not start Shades of Jade unless you can afford to read this book in one sitting and don't have any other pressing obligations today. Shades of Jade is a thrilling and suspenseful novel and is a Must Read for anyone who's looking for a good mystery novel by new author Gloria Mallette. Who's trying to kill Marissa a woman who has a passion for married men and is dating four of them at the same time. I especially liked that the characters were well developed and that the plot twist and turns were realistic and added depth to the storyline. Shades of Jade is a page-turner that will take you on a suspenseful and thrilling ride and a book that will have you biting your nails as you quickly turn the pages trying to figure out who the stalker/wanna be killer is...and this was not an easy task or obvious. If you're looking for a good whodunit pick up Shades of Jade today. You won't be disappointed but you will be shocked and surprised by the outcome and the ending...yes just the way a good mystery novel should leave you.

Summary: High Trash Value
Review: I bought this book for an aunt who said someone in a book club told her about it. I read the book myself, and found it to be the worst book ever! The storyline adds no value, and the book itself is poorly edited. I tell my young cousins that reading ANYTHING is better than not reading at all. Unfortunately, I'd prefer a young person read nothing than read this piece of drivel. It is strictly trash.

Summary: It's Worth Reading
Review: I read this book a couple of months ago. It is about a female that makes herself belive that she only needs to be involved with married men. She belived that she was getting the big end of the stick by getting the sex and money without the commitment and trouble of maintaining a relationship. I personally believe that people that tell themselves that are lieing to themselves, because everybody wants somebody. Has she finally messed with the wrong woman's man? Does she change her ways? Read and find out. This is a preety good book.

Summary: Shades of Jade is a great, fun and suspenseful read!
Review: I can't believe that I read this book so long ago and just realized I didn't write my review!! The book was my favorite fiction for 2002. It's a real page turner. Easy to read. No errors! Gloria Mallette is my new fav!

True, true, true...you reap what you sow! I can't believe who the stalker was. I wonder if there was a hidden message there. W/O giving away too much...Jealousy can never be trusted!!! Never!!! I was screaming, like ooooohhhhh junk!!! You're going to love it!!! The suspense part was the best part!!!

Summary: I didn't like it at all
Review: I don't like the way this author writes. So I don't know what all the fuss about her is. Her writing is so elementary. Her style is boring.

Summary: "SHADES OF " Jealousy.
Review: Marissa got it going on with her job, fancy car, and her love life. She a lady in total control, like with her ability to choose married men to share her bed instead of looking for a single guy to claim for her own. Her rational is that once the sex is over (if sex is involved), just leave the money and jewelry on the table and I'll collect it later. What she won't admit is that she is running on the same track as a high priced call girl. What she doesn't realize is that the track is getting a little crowded with a stalker forcing her hand and threating Marissa to leave her husband alone, or else she's dead meat. Levi, the handyman that is attracted to Marissa, but she can't see him because of his lack of a good car and money, is the only line of defense against this enemy that neither can see, but is still out there somewhere. The ending threw me for a loop, totally unexpected, but it all made for a great suspense novel.
