Summary: Loved this book!
Review: I thought the book was very predictable but I loved it anyway! I could guess from the back cover how the book would end but when it did end, I was really sad to leave the characters! They were all just so likeable. If you want a light, enjoyable book with characters who are easy to like, read this book.

Summary: A must read
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. I thought it was wonderful how Tess and her mom worked out their problems and learned how to appreciate each other for who they really were. I think she did her best with Judy but realized that Judy had issues with herself that went deeper than jealousy. I recommed this book to everyone especially country music lovers.

Summary: Enjoyable glimpse of a country "sanger's" life.
Review: Having read Ms. Spencer's "Morning Glory" several years ago, and after scanning the cover of this latest book in the bookstore, I decided to buy it. Recently, I've become interested in country music and this book was just my cup of tea. Many of the characters were very much, indeed, like some members of my own family or friends, which made it even more enjoyable. I, too, had expected more development in the character of Judy, the sister, and was a little disappointed in the outcome. Overall, the book was thoroughly enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone, especially someone that enjoys country music.

Summary: EXCELLENT MUST READ
Review: This was the first book I have read from this author and I plan to read them all now. This book grabbed me, and I could not wait to see what was going to happen next. I was a little disappointed in the way things ended with Judy, but the book over all was great. I read this book in one day because I could not put it down. Everyone needs to read this book.

Summary: Heart-warming & Nostalgic!! A Very Good Read!
Review: This should definetely be rated among Ms. Spencer's best. The main character (Tess McPhail) was portrayed as fresh & funky country music superstar that is forced to take time out from her very busy schedule to go back home and take care of her ailing mother. What she bargained for is a boring stay in the too-small town and painful reminders of her less than grand past. Tess eventually becomes entangled in a heart-warming adventure into the many stages of love and gains the wisdom to realize that there is much, much more to be gained in the giving then she ever thought she'd lose. Country music fans will adore this glimpse into the life of a star. Especially delightful are the backstage views of Nashville and the lonely road to stardom. This is a story that will leave you wanting more, as every LaVyrle Spencer novel does.

Summary: Read this book!!!!!
Review: My mom came home one day and tossed this book on my bed. "Here," she said, "I heard this book was very good". My first reaction was "oh, great. ANOTHER book to add to the pile". I am SOOO glad I read this before I tossed it. This book was terrific! I mean it!! I have read some good romances before, but this one was just too cool!! I really found myself wanting to actually see Tess and Kenny. I liked how Casey played into the story. The one thing I didn't like was Judy. What was UP with her? Mrs. Spencer needed a little more emphasis on her character. I found myself skimming over the lines in which Judy was talking. But all in all: A great read!! I stongly advise anyone that loves a good book to read this one! You'll love it!!!!

Summary: Small Town Girl makes good and finds herself in the process
Review: Lavyrle Spencer is a master at taking ordinary, everyday people and giving them a life. I am from the Nashville area and I could see every place she talked about. It made me feel like apart of the book. I do not like Romance books that have perfect human specimans as their characters, who have no story, just sex. L.S. takes real characters and gives them a story and a life. I have every one of her books and I love her. She is a master at her craft. GREAT!!!

Summary: I liked this book.
Review: This was a good easy read book. It was not as involved as Spencer's other books but I liked Tess and Kenny. Their story started off with sparks of anger from the past, but the love story was a bit too "happy-ever-afterish". I had hoped that more attention would be focused on Tess and her jealous older sister's relationship. I still liked the story even though it lacked the realism that Ms. Spencer's other books have.

Summary: I loved it and I couldn't put it down!
Review: This was the first LaVyrle Spencer book I had read and I am hooked. The story just swept me up and I got so emotionally attached to the characters. It made me laugh and it made me cry. I loved the ending - I was really rooting for them to get together and the ending didn't disappoint me at all. Even after I finished the book I kept thinking about the story and the characters for many days - it is a very heart warming story.

Summary: Loved it, of course
Review: I've been in love with her books since I first read "Years" many, many years ago. When someone asks me who my favorite author is, Lavyrle Spencer is always one of the first names I come up with. The minute I spied her newest book on the shelf I snapped it up. I'm glad to say she didn't disappoint me again. I loved the setting, the characters, everything about the book. What I like best is the way her characters struggle through a variety of ups and downs but always become better people at the end. They change as they learn and grow through their relationships with friends and loved ones. As far as "feel good" books go, Lavyrle Spencer is #1
