Rating: Summary: Great Book, Great Series, My New Favorite Author!! Review: I love these books!! John Sandford (aka John Camp) has become my new favorite author as I've read thru the Prey series. If you are just starting out, try to read them in order of publication, so you don't miss anything! A great read, I love Lucas Davenport!
Rating: Summary: Best example of the Prey series... Review: I read 4 or 5 of the Prey novels years ago, and have recently finished the series. Since starting again with them, this is probably the best I have read. Be sure to start this book when you have time to finish it, because you will not want to put it down...

Rating: Summary: not great literature, but a perfect airplane read! Review: I started this book at 4:30 pm in the Columbus, Ohio airport and finished this 370 page book later the same day. When the pilot announced that there would be a 45 minute air traffic control delay flying into Boston, I didn't care...I was on page 200!
This is not great literature, but given the genre, the author delivers! A credible plot and characters gives this book an edge up on standard airline fare.
Rating: Summary: Davenport could have handed this case over to Sloan Review: I've been reading about the detective since his first adventure in Rules of Prey (1982)and have to say that Sandford's latest, Sudden Prey, although a good read, is not the best. First timers should check out Eyes of Prey, Silent Prey & Winter Prey for better storylines.
Rating: Summary: substandard prey Review: I've read most of the "prey" novels (Rules-, Eyes-, Winter-, Mind-, and Silent-), and this is the first one that disappointed me. The villains aren't interesting and the plot is predictable.
Rating: Summary: The best Prey book Review: I've read them all in order. It's great watching the Lucas Davenport character evolve. Sudden Prey was definitely the best Prey book. Non stop action, you can't put it down. Dick LaChaise is an animal, a great villain. I loved his character.Read 'em in order to fully appreciate the Prey series. John Sandford delivers as usual with this one!
Rating: Summary: Revenge is a B- - - - h Review: In this "Prey" installment by Sandford, Davenport and his team are faced with a cold-blooded killer who has one thing on his mind. Revenge. After his sister and wife are killed in a foiled bank robbery attempt, an extreme right-winged government hating milita member seeks revenge on the policemen who are responsible. After he escapes from prison, he enlists a few members, including a dirty cop, seeking vengeance against those responsible for his sister and wife's deaths.
A very tense thriller with non-stop action and excitement. I had a hard time putting this one down. Sudden Prey could rank as one of Sandford's best novels.
Rating: Summary: Another Great Sanford Read Review: Lucas Davenport is at it again and this time it's getting a little to close for comfort. Definitely a great read (not one of my favorite Sanford books, Secret Prey is definitely far better) and it will keep you on your toes. This is the 7th in the Prey series so if you haven't read it yet, definitely pick it up.
