Summary: Sensitive sharing !
Review: I found this book quite inspirational. I have read some of the bad reviews but that is why there is chocolate and vanilla. I do read devotional books and having gone through the loss of 2 husbands and a daughter who was murdered I really found her a refresing and inspiring woman. In this day and age, it takes courage to raise 3 children alone. I have 3 teens and I truly know this. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is coping with a loss. Lisa is a lucky woman to have had such a wonderful, caring husband and marriage. God bless you Lisa.

Summary: Very Good - Not Just About 09/11
Review: I bought the book thinking it would be mostly about the events that unfolded on 09/11. However, while the book does include a very detailed account of her husband's flight... it does not include much detail about the other tragic events that unfolded on that date. The book is more about their lives growing up, falling in love, getting married, having children... leading up to 09/11, and then Lisa's life after the event. It is a book about faith in God, and how God helped Lisa get thru some very difficult times. The book also touches on the surrounding media blitz, and how President Bush even met with Lisa (and the members of other families who lost loved ones) without the media knowing about it. There is much insight in this book. If you are just looking for a book about all of the 09/11 events, then you may want to check out some of the other titles that other readers are recommending. However, this book was very motivating and very encouraging. I do highly recommend it.

Summary: Oh great. Let's capitalize on our tragedy, shall we?
Review: This book is one more example of the shameless commercialization of grief that became popular in this country after 9/11. In another generation, Lisa Beamer would have borne her grief with some dignity. Now she feels the need to shove her whole relationship and life down our throats and by the way, give us some gratuitous Christian testimony on the side. "Let's roll" is an overused, overhyped phrase. The fact that this woman goes on speaking tours to exhibit her grief makes me sick. Making a bestseller out of tragedy just shows that even a horrible event like 9/11 in this day and age can turn into a big bankroll for somebody. Gone are the days when people bore up under grief and soldiered on...now we have to make everything public. Here's an idea: take the money you would have spent on this book and donate it to a charity.

Summary: An Amazing Story of Courage and Faith!
Review: Let's Roll is an incredible story about Lisa Beamer and her family. Before writing my review, I read over some others. Not only was I horrified that people could write such things about a woman with three kids in need, but I was almost brought to tears thinking that people could only write those things because they were offended by Lisa Beamer's immense amount of faith in the onr true and living God! Even if she did write the book to get money, can you blame her? She is now a single mother who is needing to support three children. If it was money she was going for...why would she add such passionate input about her faith in the Lord? All she wanted was for people to know about a true hero, for people to be able to more information on a very important event in our country, and for people to know that you can keep faith and hope in a time of need. Lisa Beamer was an inspiration to me and many others that I have shared the book with. I couldn't believe my eyes when I read such horrible things about this heroic story! Look again people! Pull your heads out of your butts and realize that there is more to life than bringing the people down that have miraculously found a reason to live another day after their tragedy. I think I've said all that needs to be said...

Summary: God Bless The Beamer Family
Review: This book is an inspiration of hope and courage. This book made me smile and had me in tears. Lisa made me see Todd as a REAL person and not just a name on a memorial. Thank you Lisa for writing this book and letting people get to know Todd as a real guy, a real husband and a real Father. God Bless you and your family.

Summary: Jacqueline's Review
Review: Let's Roll is an amazing biography about Lisa Beamer's husband Todd Beamer. Todd has two kids with on on the way, and a wonderful job working with Oracle. The book talks about Lisa's and Todd's life leading up to their marraige and present life. It talks about flight 93, which Todd was on, that crashed on September 11, 2001. The book finishes off talking about Lisa and her kids's lives now, what she has learned, and how she, friends, and family were and are still affected by the extreme loss. Although Lisa was a first time author, and the book was not that challenging, her words retold the story magnificently and excitingly to make you feel like you too have lost some one close. Let's Roll is an easy read, but a book that is definately worth your time!

Summary: God bless Lisa Beamer
Review: From the first time I saw this lady on TV, I admired her courage, her Faith, and her strength. When I heard that she had written a book, I eagerly awaited it's publication date. Since then, I've bought several copies. I keep giving them away to people I care about, because I think she has so much to say to them.

No one has led us more correctly in the proper direction post 9-11 than this marvelous woman. When we are in the greatest need, God sends us someone to show us the way. He did, and she has.

Summary: Hope in the face of tragedy
Review: If anyone needs to read an example of the difference which being a Christian makes in this world, this book is it. Lisa Beamer writes about the childhoods and upbringing of herself and her husband Todd, and how their faith in God influenced every decision they made. She describes their meeting, courtship, marriage, and parenthood and shows her husband to be a strong Christian. His biggest weakness seemed to be a tendency to work too hard and spend too little time with his family, but the Beamers worked out this problem with the help of Todd's Christian friends, who kept him accountable for a more balanced lifestyle. Lisa describes how she first learned of the terrible tragedy which claimed her husband's life, and how she survived the difficult days after September 11. She shows how Christian friends stepped in to help her, as a grateful nation showered her with notes, prayers, and gifts for her unborn baby. She tells about her meetings with President Bush and famous members of the media, such as Larry King. She also tells the intensely personal moments of having to go through family holidays and the birth of her daughter without her husband at her side. Lisa's faith was tested and strengthened by events over which she had no control, because ultimately she knew WHO was in control. This is a wonderful and inspiring book.

Summary: Excellent
Review: I could not imagine that a book about 9/11 would give new insight to that day. I thought I had either read or watched all there was to tell. I was wrong. This book is a wonderful legacy for Todd's children to know who their father was. I found my own heart pounding as the pieces of that day were fit together, even though I knew what the outcome would be. It is an honest, well-written, personal story of the devastation one day caused. Although it is told about one family, it must be multiplied by 3,000.

My deepest sympathy goes out to all the victims and their friends and family from 9/11.
