Rating: Summary: An Unstable Jewish Man Makes a Fortune Off the Radical Right Review: Michael "Savage" (not his real is name) is a self-hating Jew. He's laughing all the way to the bank, folks. This book is so incredibly insane that it's impossible to take seriously. I doubt very much that Michael truly believes any of this--he just knows what will sell his stupid book. The scariest thing about this book is that there are people in the US that DO take this kind of thing seriously. Grow up, people. There were no "glory" days of America. America used to be a racist, sexist country, filled with interior violence. Luckily, America is in a constant state of growth, and we come very far in the past century. and by the way, this country was founded on immigration, indeed, Michael's ancestors most likely didn't speak English either. This is a book for those who have never bothered to study American history, a book for those who don't read and don't think except to regurgitate what this charlatan (go ahead, look that word up) yells at them on talk radio.
Rating: Summary: A polarizing work Review: I give this book a five star rating for polarizing the readership. There are basically two sides, those who identify with the author and those who are identified by the author. I find the reviews by those identified by the author amusing in that they try to discredit the author, work and ideas, and usually give it a low rating in a feable attempt to somehow keep his message from getting out. I encourage all to read this book. See where you fall, and please, be sure to let us all know!
Rating: Summary: A Polarizing Work Review: This book deserves a five star rating for how it polarizes the readership. The two basic sides are those who identify with the author and those who are identified by the author. I enjoy the reviews by those who are identifed by the author. The frustration is evident in the name calling and spins in their writ-ups. Not to mention their low rating of the book. Savage gets a message out and it's a tough one for some people. I recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Shawn Carkonen jealous bias liberal Review: The problem with book reviewers like this Shawn Carkonen(biased) is exactly what Michael Savage is talking about in this book. He is Jealous of Michael Success with the Common American people. Savage is angry, but compasionate and should be. He speaks the truth about what is actually happening to our country's "borders language and culture" due to the "bleeding Heart" liberals. There is plenty of useful information in this book. The man is popular because he dares to say what the liberals are trying to hide> "Truth" about whats destroying our country due strictly to the Liberals effort to gain political advantage. This book is well worth every hard earned cent!
Rating: Summary: Without shame! Review: Savage is a self-promoter without an ounce of shame. He is about as humble as three year old pie, whatever that metaphor means. On his show, he spends half the time talking about this book, the other half talking about his terrifying intellect and how great he must be. It's a wonder he hasn't sunk to selling little statues of himself to his fans for the dashboard of their cars...oh, wait, I don't want to give him any ideas. Too late, he's read this! Yes, Savage reads these reviews...he must from his talk on his radio show. Though he might hit the "5-star only" button, Mike wants to avoid any critic to his narcissistic ego, he DOES read these reviews! It's not that Savage recently bookended a memorial tribute to those aboard the Columbia with a free plug for his book...he did, it's not that he complains about liberals being a mental illness, he does. It's not that his writing style is simplistic and indirect for anyone who holds a PhD., it's not even freshmen level work for undergrad work. It's that Savage refuses to even consider an alternative to his myopic world view. By doing this, Mike fails to engage in any serious form of debate, or intellectual discourse, and rather, prefers to stick to name calling. "Liberal, Liberal, Liberal...neh, neh, neh". I value knowing what the other side thinks in a debate. On some occassions, I might even AGREE with Savage...a bout of "mental illness" common to us all, I guess. But I need to know that the other side IS thinking, IS working through and issue, and IS prepared to present their ideas in a way that is clear, interesting, and thought out...and since he's charging so much for this stuff, throw in entertaining and (please, one laugh), funny. Savage fails utterly to deliver on any account in this work. Talk about this on the air Mike...I just might call to debate you on it...if you are ready. ;-) Or you can simply call me a "liberal" and avoid me. Whatever works for you. For me, I cannot recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Read Review: This book is an interesting read. I read it cover to cover in 2 days. Dr. Savage is goes over quite a few issues, some I agree with some I don't. One fundamental factor that makes this book such a good read is its devotion to common sense. For instance, Savage's passage on stopping immigrants from bringing in diseases. Is this not common sense, or do we want to make TB and epidemic-maybe some of you can't wait to get it. I think his message of Borders, Language, and Culture will resonate with the American people. I recommend this to any thinking individual.
Rating: Summary: The Truth Always Comes Out Review: Dr. Savages book "The Savage Nation" tells it like it is and doesn't pull any punches. As a young American who cares about his country and will do anything to preserve our borders, language and culture, I salute Michael Savage for telling it like it is. Semper Fidelis
Rating: Summary: Simply a Rant Review: Michael Savage splashes the word "hate" throughout this book as his only way to express his feelings for almost anyone he doesn't agree with or who may be different. This book is simply a babbling of right wing ideology that offers no substance, no facts and no cohesiveness. Savage has a sophomoric style in the way he expresses himself that distracts from any point he is trying to make. His name-calling penchant is reminiscent of a ten year old. Savage expresses his rage in paragraph after paragraph as if his conjecture has already occurred. There are fears and suspicions in this man that must make him a very unhappy individual. They also make his book unmemorable.
Rating: Summary: Divisive if you loath the Truth Review: Looking for a smoking gun? This book smokes! The most "liberating" thing about this book is the explicit truth it exudes, page to page. Find out why it is #1 on the New York Times Best seller list. Coast to coast you will all remember what America is about and who is trying to bring it down. Find a nice quiet place and read this before you waste anymore time watching CNN or MSNBC.
Rating: Summary: Hero Review: If you want to read a book from a TRUE American Hero that isn't afraid to tell the truth in this PC world we live in, READ THIS BOOK!
