Rating: Summary: STAY AWAY FROM THIS BOOK!!! Review: If you do not like to read the truth then "STAY AWAY FROM THIS BOOK"! This should only be read by intelligent, good American citizens. To all of the low reviews, we can see which side of America you are on...or shall we say which side of Islam you are on. GOD BLESS MICHAEL SAVAGE! No offense meant to the atheist libs.
Rating: Summary: A hard hitting book about the cancer that is liberalism Review: Mr. Savage's book explains in detail the ways in which the ideological "grey area" of the left is tearing down the foundation of our nation. The book is a hold-no-punches 220-page diatribe against the liberal movement. He explains the strangle hold of left wing ideas at basically all universities, most media outlets (FNC an exception), and most public classrooms today. Although he is a conservative, he is no Republican and includes both parties in many arguments about the forces at work to tear down the moral compass of the nation. While the book does take an angry tone, it's interesting to read other book reviews that take an opposing view to Savage's ideas. The word "hate" is often used. As if the emotion were somehow illegitimate. Be wary of those who proclaim there is no place for hate and that war is ever the right answer. For generations born in tyranny, hate has been the driving force that has removed the thumb of an oppressor and shattered the chains of injustice. For generations born in freedom and protected from the atrocity of a dictator may unwisely believe there is no evil, the rantings of an angry man wise to the history of foolish choices may be all that stands between their children and the chains their fathers will shackle them with due to their lack of vision and understanding that men like Hitler come about and they cannot be reconciled with.
Rating: Summary: Interesting read Review: One must give credit to Michael Savage for highlighting the excesses of liberal politics, particularly in red California. This book is interesting, but like Michael Savage's mind, it can be a little extreme or confusing. Savage has done a lot for the conservative movement, and is at his best behind a microphone.
Rating: Summary: More Right Wing Race Baiting Review: What a piece of racist garbage this is. The fact the "Savage" can't even use his real name, "Weiner" shows that he's a phony that has to hide.If name calling and total hyperbole is your game this is probably for you. I'm guessing the only reason this book is on the charts is because of conservative institutional book buying, ie: conservative organizations buying each others books in bulk to prop the propaganda.
Rating: Summary: The Sears Catalog of Political Books Review: ... This isn't really a work of literature; it's a diatribe of narrow-minded hatred ... There is nothing presented in this book that you can't learn by listening to a mere five minutes of Savage's syndicated radio talk show. Savage's "work" covers typical right-wing fodder such as immigration, foreign policy, the ACLU, and liberals of all shapes and sizes. ... . Just how does Savage recommend we protect America's "borders, language and culture"? Well, how about launching nuclear strikes against Afghanistan and Iraq, locking all "liberals" up in mental institutions and jailing all ACLU lawyers. ... As a piece of literature, this book has no value whatsoever. But if you do purchase it, ..., enjoy it, page-by-page, in the same manner that your grandparents enjoyed the Sears catalog - ...P>So as a thought-provoking work of literature I give it Two-Thumbs-Down. But as a companion piece for your beloved copy of Mein Kampf I give a Two-Thumbs-Up.
Rating: Summary: Fools on the Right to match the Fools on the Left Review: What America needs right now is intelligent, non-partisan, engaged discussion of the challenges and options it faces. Unfortunately this book (and others like it, by authors on both the right and left) just crank up the volume of the yelling match. That's not a surprise: talk radio isn't a source most people look to for reasoned discourse. But folks like Savage, who earn their living by provocation, should really think a little harder about what they're doing. If you hate immigrants, gays, liberals, smart women, foreigners, or people who disagree with you, you'll probably like this book. Otherwise...spare yourself and your blood pressure.
Rating: Summary: Great Book...What America Need to hear Review: This book is what America needs to hear and put in practace before it is too late!!! Read and heed!
Rating: Summary: Liberalism is a disease Review: Four out of 5 stars in not a bad average. Most of the nay sayers reviewing Savage's book represent most of Santa Cruz, Berkeley and San Francisco. Enough said.
Rating: Summary: An embarrassment to the human race Review: If you have listened to his radio show (even briefly), you know what you are in for. After all, this book is by a person who asserts that women should not be permitted to vote- they're "too emotional". This screed is simply more hate, more bias, and more bigotry from the same folks who bring us Liddy, Hannity, O'Reilly, Coulter, Rushbo, Fox "news", and the rest of the right wing raving crowd. Sadly, they cannot help but try to out do each other. Apparently there are enough loonies like the fans who write 5 star reviews for this garbage to make publishing these poor excuses for books profitable. It makes one worry about our future as a nation.
Rating: Summary: Borders, Language, and Culture Review: While I wish I could that this is the "best book ever written", there are parts that I felt left something to be desired. It is a good book that is hard hitting, honest, and at the same time the author arrives at his conclusions through independent reasoning. I felt that the book wasn't as well researched and stocked with facts as some other books out there that try to expose the lefty sociopaths through facts and anecdotes, and I missed that.. But you got the feeling that he did all his own research. I was impressed with the sprinklings of quotes from Aristotle. Things like that made for a few breaths of freshness in an already stale indictment of the left, an indictment that conservatives continue to press and recant, and that the media and the Democrats continue to ignore. Mike Savage is an old man, old fashioned in some ways, but he's seen many things and he's managed to present his way of thinking and slam the left for being the vile pit of snakes that it now is. There are things that Mike Savage says here that are worth hearing, especially if you can't get him on the radio where you are. The most important lesson to remember is Borders, Language, and Culture. Oh and you'll get forms inside the pages of the book showing you how to donate to the Paul Revere Society. For doing so, you get a booklet, maybe a plaque, maybe more depending on what you send, and you get to know your money is going to preserving the American legacy that is worth our patriotism. It's important because the uneducated youth are finding their education from movies, and historical rewrites like "Gangs of New York." They'll think that "immigrants good" and "patriots racist butchers" with enough liberal brainwashing. Is it any surprise someone has to stand up and tell the truth? If you agree however, how can you not add your voice and strength to the movement that aims to stop the insanity that is threatening to sink this nation? That is kind of what Mike Savage is saying. And of course, he is right.
