Summary: Tells the truth, should be obvious to all Americans
Review: I heard Miss Malkin speak on WGN radio and was very impressed with her straightforward analysis of America's shameful immigration system. The daughter of honest, hard working legal immigrants from the Philippines, Miss Malkin actually honors the oath of allegiance her parents made when they became US citizens. Miss Malkin loves our country and she is furious that our country is being invaded and terrorized by terrorists and criminals who flood into our country from abroad.

She has done her research and correctly blames both political parties for the immigration disaster. It is not just liberal Democrats and minority grievance groups who open the immigration flood gates; too many rich CEOs use mass immigration to break unions and lower wages for American workers.

She is able to refute the argument that illegal immigrants only take jobs that working American don't want and mass immigration is "good" because it keeps prices of goods like lettuce, restaurant bills down.

Her response: Americans should be willing to pay a little more for lettuce and restaurants in return for living in a country safe from terrorists, gangs, and ethnic riots.

A great book to refute the lie than only right wing, White, racist men are against open borders immigration.

Miss Malkin's parents did a great job of raising their daughter.

Summary: Forget this hate language
Review: The author would somehow like us to believe that immigration reform is only thing needed to be carried out to fix all the violent problems we have in our country. It is true that many immigrants have hurt Amrica and it is likely that many more would try to do so in future, the author conveniently fogets that most of the violent crimes are carried out by native born Americans. Look at the reports of violent crimes like murder , rape etc one can easily find that most of these crimes are committe by natives.

If all immigrants are bad because 19 of them blasted away WTO, the native born whites christians could also be classified in the same catergory (which would include the author!) because few of them blasted away Alfred P Murrah building.

It is true that immigration needs reform and we need to be more careful in letting who comes in our country, the real need is to address the root cause of terrorism. The root cause, if any one bothers to investigate honestly, will be clear. The real reason is that our country is percieved as a leading terrorist state in most part of the Asia and Africa. As Noam Chomsky puts it, they consider us as single biggest threat to their national security.

To solve this problem we have to improve our image and start doing what we preach. That is supporting genuine democracy, dropping support for oppressive regimes and supporting a just and peaceful solution to Isreal-Palestinian conflict. And then finally recalling our forces from those parts of the world which fuels anger in the minds of local. Once those are achieved there would be less reason for people to despise us. That would take away the breeding ground for terrorism.

So don't blame immigration, Muslims or Islam rather look deeply and know where the real source of anger is.

Summary: How America Blames the Victims
Review: Malkin's book blames the INS for the attacks of September11th, not on the criminals themselves, or the FBI, CIA, or the international climate abroad. Her premise is that we will all be safe and live better lives if we shut down all immigation from Middle Eastern countries, have the INS take draconian high tech measures to track all foreigners in the US, and if we militarize our borders by using the National Guard to patrol thousands of miles of borders. She never once discusses the financial cost of all this and that it would ruin the very principles upon which the USA was founded. If there are terrorists out there bent on hurting us, they will still find a way in. Profiling behaviors, not people, and being aware are our best safe guards, She also categorizes all Arab Americans ( and about 60% of Arab Americans are Christians) and Muslim Americans as a threat to the United States. She vilifies ethnic organizations as obstructions to finding terrorists. This book is an insult to the intelligence of a great many Americans and is a hate crime waiting to happen against foreigners that have sought refuge in the United States. The United States has 3 million Arab Americans and 6 million Muslim Americans- only 19 foreigners (all of them foreign) were involved in the hideous violence of 9/11. Why should all those other people suffer because of the acts of a few? Malkin's own grandparents were not born on mainland USA, a fact she seems to have forgotten. Forget this book.

Summary: Immigrants Against Immigrants
Review: Michell Malkin makes a good case for showing how the Immigration And Naturalization Service is lax in checking the background of or keeping up with the whereabouts of people coming into the United States legally and illegally. You can't fault her on that. However, she appear to be on the side of previous immigrant groups who, after they had assimilated themselves into American culture, turned on those who came to america seeking the same opportunity as they did by immigrating to the "land of opportunity". Each group that came to this country in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century chastised those who followed as somehow not true americans; strange people with alien customs and traditions who should be avoided. This time it's dressed up as a concern about terrorists and those who would do damage to the country. Read it if you want but then look at the book, Unwelcome Strangers by David M. Reimers. A lot of americans are concerned about immigration but, is it because they can't deal with these "strange people" or, because they fear they might be a detriment to their own security. Read both books for a balanced view.

Summary: We are going to lose the war on terrorism
Review: This book does an incredible job how America will be destroyed by our insane immigration policy. Nothing has changed since 9-11 and the terrorists can come and go as they please.

Sadly it is probably too late to do anything. Read the book and understand. We already have let the invaders in and the intolerance of "tolerance" will be the final straw. A friend of mine works in a government agency and they are worried about what the terrorist will do next.

Summary: extreme xenophobic paranoia
Review: This book offers little of value, unless you want ot gain insight into the thinking of the looney, hyper-nationalist fringe. The books draws upon and reinforce racist stereotypes, while presenting the illusion that the greatest threats to American society are the poor and non-white hordes waiting to break down the country's boundaries. In reality, a far greater threat to the U.S. populace--and the world as a whole--are the economic, political, and military rich and powerful on Wall Street, in the White House and the Pentagon. Of course, these are people with whom Ms. Malkin feels very comfortable. This book is a smokescreen aimed at confusing working people as to the sources of their real problems.

Summary: Immigration reform or a repeat of september 11
Review: I just want to reiterate the previous reviews-every american should read this book, and act upon it because a case can be made that the present immigration policies are leading to the fragmentation of the U.S., and hurt the poorest, most disadvantaged segments of of our population. This book lays out the evidence and points out the culprits. Read it and write your congressional representative.

Summary: Do not read this if you suffer from high blood pressure!
Review: The failure of our government to protect us from dangerous illegal aliens both before and after Sept.11, as documented in "Invasion," will send your systolic and diastolic numbers into high orbit. Illegal aliens, Malkin notes, participated in the first attack on the World Trade Center, the Los Angeles Millennium bombing plot, and the New York subway bombing plot. Three of the 9-11 hijackers were here illegally at the time of their attacks and others obtained fraudulent ID cards with the assistance of an illegal alien.

The visa system, Malkin shows, needs a complete overhaul. The easiest way to enter the U.S. before Sept.11 was exactly how the hijackers did - with a tourist, business, or student visa. With no comprehensive tracking system in place, there are no consequences for overstaying. Yet nothing has changed. The State Department has issued more than 120,000 such visas to Middle Easterners since the Sept. 11 attacks.

Malkin is no mere gadfly; she has plenty of ideas for fixes that can and must be made. Nor is she an immigrant basher. Her own parents are foreign-born; but they came here legally. Ultimately "Invasion" demands little more than that America's immigration laws and the enforcement of those laws be brought more into line with those of the rest of the world. The very notion of that sends numerous powerful special interest groups into spasms of rage. But it's the American people who ought to be enraged. For all our sakes, our government officials must read - and heed - this book.

Summary: Invasion tells the truth.
Review: The apologists of mass immigration, open borders, illegal cheap labor, and illegal alien amnesties will have a tough time confronting the cold hard facts contained in Michelle Malkin's ground-breaking book, Invasion.

I suspect that the mass immigration media won't even bother addressing the content of this very serious and expertly researched book. The inconvenient fact that illegal aliens rape and murder innocent American citizens, and assassinate law enforcement officers (documented in Chapters 5 and 6) is something that just doesn't fit the "immigrant good, restriction bad" script. So in the face of deafening media silence, click your mouse and buy Invasion! Read it. Share it with your friends and neighbors.

For anyone who actually reads Invasion cover-to-cover (reviewers included), you will know more of the truth about how the federal government has utterly failed to enforce our immigration laws than you could ever have imagined.

You will learn in Chapter 10 that there is a permanent amnesty-granting machine buried deep inside the U.S. Department of Justice. You'll learn that this bureaucracy is called the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), that it controls the nationwide U.S. Immigration Court system and its appellate body called the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and that it makes a federal case out of the deportation of every single illegal alien and criminal alien resident in the United States. By reading Invasion, you will learn how this litigation bureaucracy operates behind closed doors, turning "due process" into a shameless farce of bureaucratic delay and abuse that allows countless illegal aliens and criminal aliens to remain in the United States.

Invasion is an historic book. Not only does Michelle Malkin explain to the American people what the bureaucrats of the EOIR and BIA are doing to this country, but she offers a solution -- and it's the right solution. Invasion is the first national best seller to call for the EOIR and the BIA to be abolished. And that's something you won't hear on the evening news.

Summary: A Must if you want to know what is really going on!
Review: Michelle Malkin's book is invaluable to gravely concerned citizens who want a common sense approach to immigration. While the Bush administration would like you to think that safety is its top priority, the truth is altogether different. Malkin points out the dozens of ways our enemies can and do get into the country without any difficulty. The borders are wide open if you want to come illegally. And if you want to come legally, 57 different varieties of visas await you.

Who favors illegal immigration? Just about everyone except the man in the street. Politicians, the media, universities, businesses, the churches and the special interest groups all lobby on behalf of more immigration, both legal and illegal.

As for the average citizen, 75% of whom want immediate and tangible reforms, we're stuck with what we have.

Malkin's great book is written from the perspective of a concerned American. A first generation American, Malkin is correctly disbelieving of the system that is in place.

Among the most moving passages deal with those slaughtered by the "Railway Killer" an illegal immigrant who crossed over and back dozens of times and was in and out of custody before apprehended. You will be deeply saddened when you read about the lives of these everyday Americans who were killed by someone who never should have been in the country.

Don't miss this book. Although it is packed with facts, you will find that it is a page-turner. You just can't believe what has happened to America.

A handy guide of websites where citizens can become active is offered at the end of the book.
