Summary: Excellent and frightening. The borders are still wide open
Review: Ms. Malkin does an excellent job explaining why the United States will be attacked again and why our way of life faces a serious threat. The muslim terrorists 9-11 attack not only killed thousands but did serious damage to the U.S. economy. If you doubt it ask the 100,000 + people who lost their job in the airline, travel, hospitality and aviation industry. The next time could be a lot worse.

How did it happen? Wide open borders during Bill Clinton and political correctness. President Bush still has not taken the steps necessary to protect our borders. Ms. Malkin has warned us, will we listen?

Review: If you ignore everything I have to say, then just read the following line: READ THIS BOOK WITH SKEPTICISM

Malkin writes like a self loather. If it weren't for her egocentric gains as the token Asian on Fox News, she would by writing the immigrant's story, or her families' story. It goes to show that with Malkin, it doesn't matter what side of the issue she believes, she'll take it on if she gets her 5 minutes and 50 bucks. Sounds like another profession we know doesn't it?

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: This is an excellent book that exposes the issues this country is facing and will face in the not too distant future.

I had to deal with the uneducated INS workers for about 4 years during my Legal immigration process. It's almost as if someone has deliberately picked the most uneducated people for this important job of protecting the country's borders.

Summary: CAN SOMEONE SAY CONTROL......
Review: I really gave this book a 0 Star because I dislike the concept of Ms. Malkin's book "Invasion". She should have called it "If I Ruled The World", and write what she really wanted to in it.
My idea of this book was written by an American anglo saxon or nazi hate crime organizer. That obviously was not the case here. When my fiance and I saw her interview on television on 12/08/02 I think it was on the CNN channel or I'm not sure. Anyway, she had the nerve to talk about people coming here on visas and illegal entry to U.S. which we all know happens 24 hrs. a day without anyones control but INS. She and her family are from the communist country of the Philippines which she did not discuss much of but did base her frustrations on the middle east and Mexican aliens who are here to do as they please in her opinion. What is she trying control in this situation and another what is her solution? Ms. Malkin does not own this country nor does she have any influence on immigration so what is really her gripe? Is she trying to have ownership in which she should be judge of who or what shall enter the United States of America? I don't recognize her name on any congressional or political board of justice to even remotely have power over people entering the "land of the free". That is what she said when the gentle man asked her where she was from and why her mother and father migrated here,"they wanted to be free". So does everyone else who feels like your family does. Her parents are from the Philippines and was on a visa from a friend of her father's and she was born in Philadelphia. So why does she feel she has the right to shun anyone other than her and her family? Her book was very disappointing to me and so was her interview. She mentioned people's names in that book as if she prosecuted them or at least wanted to be part of crime and punishment for those who came here to the United States as aliens and committed crimes. So what about those skin heads and hate crime activists who are already over here or have ancestors from here? Aren't they entitled to be punished as well or worst if they hurt or harm anyone for that matter? Why was she so angry with just the middle east people and Mexicans who try and cheat their way to the border? Her concentration on these two countries baffled me and her own family's country is in worst termoil right now as we speak and has always been especially when Fredinand Marcos was the ruler. If she wants to write then why not cover real stories back home and give back and find a solution for her and her family's people over seas. I'm sure they could use the help there and her abilities in life that the U.S. gave her and her parents. The book is mediocre and so is her view on illegal aliens or aliens on visas. Find a solution Ms. Malkin or stop complaining and get some stuff under your belt then make a move.

Summary: An examination of a disaster
Review: I find it very refreshing and courageous that Miss Malkin has spoken out with such a firm and intelligent voice. By speaking out she has undoubtedly opened herself to harsh criticisim and negative accusations. Everytime this issue is brought up the pro-illegal immigration special interest groups have to play the race card. This is a desperate knee-jerk reaction to divert attention from the truth. You can't have a healthy society and at the same time turn a blind eye to law breakers. What are we to make of residents whose first act as "new Americans" is to break the law? With urban sprawl, a shrinking environment and resources we have little room for legal immigrants. Top that off with the threat of terrorism and this issue demands immediate attention. Logically can this country absorb half the populations of numerous countries and still function. It's a documented fact that most of the illegals are illiterate, poor, and have few if any job skills. If anyone denies that drug smuggeling and other criminal acitivity isn't fed by the border situation then I implore you to take a trip there. Many countries want to do us harm now and we must survive. I think it's time that Mexico needs to grow up, clean their own mess and quit sucking at the breast of America.

Summary: The truth will scare you
Review: It scared me to read how little the public is told about what is really happening with our borders and with our government. This book is very neutral and blasts both sides who ignore our immigration problem and allow criminals and terrorists into our country - even after September 11th. This should be standard reading for anyone in elected office.

Summary: At last the truth about immigration
Review: Michelle Malkin, the seemingly lone voice in the wilderness, tells us exactly how it is. From 57 visa types (more than 50 ways to leave your lover), to the lack of concern by those who set policy about immigration, this book makes the government look bad. And it should.
I think Malkin's approach to the subject of immigration is balanced. She does an excellent job in laying out what is wrong with the system. One example, pg 141:
In "Novemeber of 2001, Attorney General John Ashcroft dangled the promise of citizenship before any foreigners, including criminal illegal aliens, who come forward with information that would aid the investigation of the September 11 attacks." The information only has to be "useful and relevant". It doesn't even need to lead to an arrest. What garbage. What's the old saying, lie down with pigs and you'll get dirty?????
Well written, this book is a nonfiction page turner. Read it.

Summary: A Great Read for Anyone
Review: I usually have no interest in politics whatsoever. It just so happened I was in a bookstore with three hours to burn that I stumpled onto this book. What can I say? The information in this book is staggering. It's one of those books that makes you think about the country you live in and the future of this great country... especially after the tragedy at 9/11.

I had doubts when I first picked up the book. I thought it was another one of those ultra-conservative not in my backyard backlash against immigration. Well, it was anything but. If anything, the book provided many unbiased information that the mainstream media wouldn't even go near. This is definitely a must read for everyone.
