Summary: Laughable humor
Review: In this ineptly worded screed from a very personally angry woman, Malkin's public reassurances the difference between legal and illegal imigrants is understood quickly becomes undercut by her own embrace of xenophobia and white supremacy for the proverbial fifteen minutes of fame.

While there are many grounds immediately discrediting the book's validity, her ranting notably ignores that if imigration were reconfigured as she prefers, future generations of her parents would likely be unable to enter the country because the imigration policies she prefers were notoriously biased towards white anglo protestants for much of American imigration history. Considered second class, non-whites were regularly denied entrance no matter how pro-American, law abiding, or hard working they individually were. Rampant anti-Asian sentiment set rigid quotas which made entry all but impossible.

Naturally, Malkin's family is the lone exception to the endless list of perceived imigrant-initiated flaws, for how else would she become a pawn of the far right if they were still in the Phillipines?

Make no mistake the conservative commentators eagerly promoting this book only accept her into their sanctums because Malkin sold herself to people who only like her if she can be their 'attack dog' or 'window dressing' for whatever arcane policy enacted next in a futile attempt to revive the 18th century.

Summary: A hot-dog factory expose - you don't really want to go there
Review: It is crucially important to understand, if you are considering buying this book, that there is absolutely nothing here that slanders immigrants or suggests that immigrants are lawbreakers by association; such reviews are the inevitable consequence of being so lost in one's own rhetoric that words begin to lose meaning; at worst, these are people who didn't read beyond the front flap of the dustcover, if that much.

Malkin describes how ridiculously easy it is to cross the border from Canada, that border (in a post 9-11 world) being patrolled by less than 100 troopers at a time. Get out a map, and look at that border, then think of less than 100 employees. Recently the news has been tripping over stories of "five wanted Pakistanis" who crossed over from Canada. As my title says, it's just another day in the hot-dog factory...

The immigration computer system is underused, and in many instances, not even properly installed.

Immigration regularly clears immigrants with extensive criminal records in their home countries, including violent offenders. I don't see this as being undesirable discrimination. ...

This is not a conservative or liberla issue, it's a common sense one. It's a matter of making sure the security of this country comes first - which is how it is supposed to be, according to the Constitution and the CIA charter. ... This book really helped me to understand just how much of a mess our immigration system is, how badly its priorities have been misplaced, and how this flies in the face of our supposed desire to curb terrorism here in the US.

If you don't read it, it should be because you really don't want to know just how bad the system is; but NOT because it is 'politically incorrect'.

The last time I checked, truth didn't have much of an agenda.

Summary: Send a copy to each member of the House and Senate
Review: Great job Ms. Malkin! I have been following your interviews on C-Span, CNN etc. Yes, it is time to stop and think about what we are going to do about our safety. Civil Liberty Unions have got to realize the American citizen rights to life, liberty and happiness take priority over others. Sorry but their clients need to get in line, follow procedures and wait their turn. Congress must take action that protects my safety and rights as a legal citizen. I depend on them to protect my civil liberties. Sometimes this generous nation has to just say "No" for the time being.

Summary: Just the Facts
Review: Michele Malkin makes her point with documented case after documented case. Hard-left liberals and those who like cheap illegal immigrant workers may not like what she has to say, but her arguments and the facts speak for themselves. An excellent and easy read.

Summary: Great Book
Review: Michelle Malkin has written one of the most important books of the 21st century. Everyone concerned about the security of our nations borders (north and south) needs to carefully read the pages of this book and then contact their government representative and tell then to get off their collective butts and do something now!!!

After reading this book, the Greek tale of the Trojan Horse came to mind. The enemies of Troy could not penetrate her walls to destroy the city and take back their queen. However, if they could slip inside unannounced they could obliterate Troy, win the battle and take back Helena. The Greeks succeeded, and so too it appears the enemies of America are trying the same tactic. With millions of undocumented aliens roaming the streets of America and politicians doing nothing to stop them, these are perilous times indeed. Thank God Michelle had the courage to write this book.

For those of you who gave this book a poor review, you are either profiting from illegal immigration or your being intellectually dishonest with yourself.

Summary: Immigrant slanders immigrants
Review: You can see Michelle Malkin at Fox News bashing Mexicans, Arabs and other minorities. Michelle is an immigrant herself, and she believes that there is a big difference between legal and illegal immigrants. Not one human is illegal on this world. America is build by immigrants and their children. If all illegal immigrants would leave the US, the economy would collaps.
So what is Michelle's problem with illegal immigrants? This is a pychological phenomenon; once self legally inside these people are afraid to share with others. I wish her good luck. If you hate foreigners you should buy this book.

Summary: Brilliant
Review: She presents facts. You rats, just scurry away, since the light of truth so infuriates you; or simply grow up !

Summary: Propaganda
Review: Plain and simple. The writing style is atrocious. I enjoyed watching Malkin get put in her place by Alan Colmes and the immigration attorney. Her rhetoric consists of manipulation and tired Smear tactics. By no means is this a good read for the level-headed, thinking person. If you want real facts check out
"A People's History of the United States: 1492 to Present" by Howard Zinn instead. You'll thank me for it ;)

Oh yeah, and For anyone that calls me a flaming liberal, I'm an independant thinker. I don't blindly follow liberal or conservative idealogues. Y'all end up hailing Bill Clinton or Ann Coulter! Keep walking in lockstep.

Summary: A Very Important Book!
Review: Michelle Malkin has written a very important book about the disgrace that U.S. immigration policy has become. She shows that the various agencies that handle immigration are infected by corruption and political correctness, with the result that almost anyone can enter our country illegally, even criminals and terrorists. When they are stopped, it usually isn't for long. This accounts for the presence, within our borders, of the terrorists of September 11, 2001; as well as those who bombed the World Trade Center in 1993, the Railway Killer, and others.

She also shows that the process of naturalization has become a joke, with citizenship being doled out to people who have not had adequate background checks, or whose criminal backgrounds have been ignored. The results are similarly disastrous.

Perhaps most disturbing is the corruption of the various agencies that are supposed to protect our borders, to process immigrants and visitors, and to enforce the laws in these matters. It seems that the employees of these agencies are intent on NOT upholding the laws of our land. An employee who blows the whistle on corruption in these agencies stands a greater chance of punishment than do immigrants who lie on their applications for citizenship. The book could almost as easily have been named "Sabotage".

Indeed, given the degree of incompetence and corruption in these agencies, it is surprising that there haven't been more terrorist attacks.

The author has done her homework and backs herself up carefully. She has over forty pages of end-notes at the end of the book, and lots of information for those who want to research these matters for themselves.

I do not understand why some people criticize the author for the fact that her own parents were immigrants, or why they accuse her of self-hatred. She goes to a great deal of trouble to explain that she is opposed to illegal immigration, not legal immigration. This book is not anti-immigration, it is pro-law and pro-national security.

Summary: This book attacks everything america stands for...
Review: Ms. Malkin annoys the reader to no end about how the US is being invaded by illegal aliens who - in her "opinion" - all became instant Democrats. Makes even Ann Coulter look profound.
