Rating: Summary: A book to make us think about the way we think. Review: The short story in the beginning is worth the price alone. This book greatly contributed to my esteem and happiness. This is one of the few books that I *force* on people. It's such a short read you have no excuse to NOT read it.
Rating: Summary: The reality of reality Review: What a perspective ! I guess we all come across a similar set of experiences, but hardly bother to dig for deeper meaning. We keep getting into the same rut day in, day out. Is there an escape? Can we exist in the details of daily life, and in our own private universe of happiness at the same time? If one sincerely understands this work, such questions get answered automatically. Million Thanks to Richard.
Rating: Summary: An thought-provoking and touching book, if a bit sappy Review: This story is well written with likeable characters, an intriguing, unusual plot, and some very good "life lessons." I enjoyed it. It is, however, a little bit sappy, and somewhat predictable. Read it, enjoy it, and maybe even learn something from it, but take it with a grain of salt.
Rating: Summary: simply amazing Review: I seriously recommend everyone to read this book . It is so much against the conventional thinking, that is not to judge things as right or wrong,to free your mind. The quotes in this book make more and more sence as i proceed ahead in life.one of the best books i've read so far
Rating: Summary: I love it! Review: Who would ever think that just a simple book would inspire so many people? This book was one of the best books I have ever read. When it was fist introduced to me by my teacher Mr. Lewis I thought it would be boring but he proved me all wrong. I am glad I read the book because it mad me think about a lot of things. I have also referred the book to others. Be ready to hear from them very soon!
Rating: Summary: An Inspiring book that everyone should read Review: I have purchased well over a dozen copies of Illusions. I read it about once a year and then pass it on to someone who I think can learn from it. It is an uplifting tale of how we should look at life. The messages from the Mesiahs Handbook are thought provoking and have helped me through some rough times in my life.
Rating: Summary: Inspiring! A captivating way to look at life! Review: Illusions captivates the true wisdom and truths of life. If only we could all live by these inspirations and encouraging words of enlightenment-Imagine!?! Don, a true Messiah, wants to quit, but not until he passes along the realizations of real-life illusions he has come to empower. Richard, a barnstormer in the open fields of the spectacular Mid-West, becomes Don's student. The relationship these two share grows to become a "special" connection; where at once Richard can't even fathom Don's experiences to finally aspiring to Don's greatness and intellect. A book you could simply read again and again. One of those that captures not only the way we should live and that others do, but honestly the true essence of life.
Rating: Summary: A Soul Soother Review: I am not one that like reading by the book was very astonishing. I really enjoyed reading it and would advise others to read it and pass it on.
Rating: Summary: The Whole Book Review: Illusions by Richard Bach was a very fascinating book. I Really enjoyed reading it and I learn great aspects from it. I would advise many people to read the book and past it on. For any comments contact me by e-mail. Read the book October 1999.
Rating: Summary: A book to read annually! Review: I read this book at least once a year since I discovered it so many years ago. This is the classic Bach at his best. However I would not rate any of his books at less than 3.5 with mostly 4 & 5s. It is a great fable that was topical nearly 20 years ago when I first read it as it is today. I read it annually and watch the meaning change as I go along.
