Summary: My life has been so inspired!
Review: I read alot of books, but I must admit that none has affected me the way "Illusions" has. I would like to say to Richard Bach, that this book is fantastic and real. Any reader who is not afraid of finding out how real and powerful you can make life should read this book. Actually EVERYBODY should read this book!

Summary: An epiphany!
Review: How glad I was to read that I was not the only one to be completely spellbound by Illusions!

I, too have given away copies too numerous to count. Everytime, I hope that the recipient gets even a fraction of the inspiration that this book gives me on every reading (also, too numerous to count).

If you have ever had even a fleeting thought about why we are here, and what your role on earth is, here is a book to aid in your journey.

Summary: Simple Truths
Review: Avoiding over-intellectualized philosophy, Illusions fills you with joy and clarity through the example of a regular struggling seeker who meets his teacher under the wing of a biplane. I read it frequently to remind myself of what really matters in the world.

Summary: MOMENTOUS!
Review: I've read this book seven times so far - every time I need a lift in life, I return to Illusions. It is, without doubt, the best book I've ever read. Thank you, Richard, for sharing it with us.

Summary: A book which changed forever the way I look at life.
Review: A book I picked up in the library many years ago when I was out of work and very depressed. From the moment I began reading, I knew I was reading a book which would stay with me throughout my life. As a teacher I have shared this book with hundreds. Truly a book to own, read and reread always.

Summary: A primer for life on this planet
Review: I've bought and given away at least 3 dozen copies of this book since I first read it in 1990. My first reaction was that Richard Bach must have been on drugs and that the book was blasphemy. But because a very dear friend whom I trusted completely insisted I read it, I did - over and over and over. Eventually it began to sink in.

I was at a point in my life where I was really struggling with just being alive. I didn't like myself, and I didn't like my life. I was mad that "rotten things kept happening to me". I'd quit a job I liked because of an impossibly bad manager, and that made me mad. I was going thru a divorce (why had that happened to me?) and that made me mad. I was mad a lot. "Illusions" changed that. Not over night - I was far too stubborn and comfortable blaming everyone and everything else for my 'bad luck' to immediately change my perspective. But change it did, and "Illusions" was the catalyst.

There is no in-between with this book. Either you get it or you don't. If you do, then read the 2 follow-ons, "Bridge Across Forever" and "One". If you don't, then you're probably not going to evolve beyond where you are right now. "Illusions" is about personal power and responsibility. If you want someone or something to run your life, to be responsible for the things that happen, then this is not the book for you. If you're ready to accept that we do create our reality (Norman Vincent Peale called it 'the power of positive thinking' - same thing, different words), then read "Illusions". Get and keep your own copy. Read it over and over, and often. You'll want to.

And for those of you who didn't get it when you read "Illusions", don't feel left out. Next lifetime maybe you will.

Summary: A guide for wandering souls in this wonderful world
Review: An extremely easy to read, bright, fascinating story, full of adventures and miracles while seeming totally everyday and natural. Elevates your spirit and makes you think that there is nothing impossible for you, and if you don't know how to do it now you'll find it out pretty soon. Great solutions to the most unsolvabe problems. Gives freedom that you have long been looking for. The perfect book to read when you are blue. The same when you are happy. Understand your true nature. Look around and create the world you want it to be by changing the way you see it. By realizing that it is totally what you see in it. With this book - the most easy change. Be your own master. Set your spirit free and let yourself enjoy life and the world around. Follow Bach's smooth casual narration, share his spiritual adventures and enjoy yourself. See life as a gigantic metaphor and enrich it with your own meaning. This book gives you an instrument to control your destiny - by tuning your mind on the corresponding wave. This book works wonders, and its author is a teacher who doesn't want to be one and isn't percepted as one. The truth is in your own soul. Go ahead!

Summary: So You'd Like to be a Messiah
Review: Having read or heard all of Bach's work, this is the best of an excellent and enlightening lot. Simple plot...sure, and that's the point! We can all be Messiah's if we Remember and we Believe. We don't want to believe we are as holy as Jesus, but we could be Donald. Jesus told us there is no difference. If you don't like the book, send it to me, I only have one copy left!

Summary: A life-path primer.... How We Should Strive To Live 101
Review: I have owned, read and re-read this book a hundred times. I have given away so many copies I should get a commission from the author. It is my second Bible and something of an improvement on the first, to my view. Short, pleasant, easy to read, it appears deceptively simple. But truth does not have to appear "new", "Improved", "Advanced", or "complex", to have POWER. If you have been ruminating on how and why things work they way they do in this world, and how and why they could work better, prepare to be shown the way to a level of conscious living that will enrich every facet of your life. To an open soul, this is intoxicating. To one not quite ready, it's a very pleasant and nicely told story. Either way, it's a winner worth the read!

Summary: Time to grow up
Review: I can understand why some people reject this book, or try to pass it off as "just another book on Eastern Philosphy." The prevailing truth of this book scares the hell out of most people. When you discard all the religous conotations of the book, it boils down to one principle--You are responsible for yourself. Most people can't handle this concept. It is much easier to take the roll of the victim, than the agressor. The paramount truth of this book is that victims are only victims of themselves. Life is what you make of it, for the good or the bad, you are responsible, no one else. Give up the idea of poor me, and get on with your life, that is the only way to succeed.

Is it any wonder why most people can't handle this book?
