Summary: Is the supernatural so suburban?
Review: I must admit these are kinds of books which fascinate me - and when a friend buys one, I must read it also... even if only to tell her why it is such nonsense!

So there is really no money to be made in telling readers that we all end at death and there is nothing else to say?

Sylvia and Lindsay should at least be complimented on using a clear prose to tell us what we all want to hear!

Their tone is friendly, which is pleasant and polite to readers - good! But is this why I cannot believe these books? They make death sound like breakfast television! Please - I do not mean to be unkind, but who is convinced by this?

Summary: I can't wait to get to the Other Side
Review: Sylvia's new book Life on the Other Side, is by far her best yet. Personally, I think that there are still a few unanswered questions about the Other Side, but I'm sure she'll answer them in another book. I especially liked this one because, not only did it recap some things in her previous books so new readers could understand, but the detailed description of the Other Side, as well as the pictures in the back were very very good. However, I do wish she had included a more elaborate meditation technique for finding out your true name, but I guess I'll just have to wait. All in all a great read, and I can't wait till she's on the Montel Show again.

Summary: Syliva does it again!
Review: Even though much of the information on Sylvia's background contained in this book was information I had read in her other works, I still feel that this was a treasure trove of information that will be very useful to all who read it. I have read all of Sylvia's books thus far and I do feel as if this one is perhaps the most informative.

For those who have read other books by Sylvia, you won't want to miss this one. It really gives you an idea of what the Other Side is like. For those of you who have not read her other books, this will make you want to read them!

Good work, once again, Sylvia!

Summary: Gave me inspiration
Review: I won't know for sure until *I* die, whether Sylvia is 100% correct or not, but all I can say is that her book has given me great inspiration. I have gone on to read more books by her, more books by similar authors, and even turned back to my own bible. I have more optimism about the after-life, and things within this life. There's no way to know for sure, without either dying or getting a reading from her myself with validating information, whether she's right or not. I go with what's in my heart. In my heart, it rings true. I have also found information in works of eastern religion, in PHYSICS (not psychics), and in accounts from my own family that validate what she says.

Summary: Very Uplifting and Spiritual
Review: When I saw Sylvia Browne on Montel Williams a while ago, I was very impressed at her abilities. Before I take a look at her book, I will tell you about her reputation as a psychic. She has had success handling criminal cases and investigations, however, some of her predictions for the world's future have been off. For an example of predictions she made for the year 2000, visit... You'll see that some of the predictions are correct but others are way off. I think that Sylvia is more talented with helping the individual than with helping the world.

Now let's talk about Sylvia's new book, Life On The Other Side. The book details what she believes. She talks about what her "spirit guide", Francine, has told her about The Other Side, her name for heaven. She says how perfect the other side is, how there is no negativity, and how everyone lives in peace and harmoney. Sylvia goes in to much detail in describing how the other side looks. She talks about phenomina in the other side such as "thinking your way" to places and building a house with your mind. She also talks about phenomina that can take place here on earth, such as out of body experiences.

You can take this book however you want, as nonfiction or as fiction. No matter how you take it, it is a very interesting read. I finished the book in 2 days because I simply could not put it down. This book gives hope and happiness to people and I would definately recommend it.

Summary: She's done it again
Review: I have read all of Sylvia's books that she has written, and this one is the best one of all. I absolutely could not put this one down. I felt a calmness come over me that reassured me that I was indeed reading the truth. She has a very personal quality that everyone can relate to. She lays it all out in a way that makes me feel like I just had my spiritual battery turbo-charged. This book is a must read and I hope you will open your heart to the truth so you can spread your shining light for everyone to see. God Bless.

Summary: Reassuring Spiritual Look at Life before and after Death
Review: Psychic Sylvia Browne provides a detailed look at her own life, her interactions with spirits and angels of all kinds, and what it has taught her about life before and after death. Take this as one woman's account of a fascinating life, and you've found yourself some very interesting reading. Take this as a spiritual metaphor for your religious beliefs, and you will find comfort in your new understanding. Take this as fiction, and you will be at the edge of your seat. Take this as the unexplained, and you will have a terrific mystery to unravel.

Ms. Browne has been in contact with spiritual figures from a young age, and she has made her life's work helping people to come to grips with issues they have concerning their connections to the spiritual world. She often uses deep hypnosis in her work, and reports on the consistent patterns of recalled former lives. She also shares the experiences of her own life, including a spiritual guide, Francine, who often speaks through her and her own near-death experience.

In the 1950s there was a famous case of potential reincarnation discovered through hypnosis involving Bridey Murphy. Ms. Browne refers to that case, and supplements it with her own findings. I found Ms. Browne's portrayal more convincing than the original Bridey Murphy material. For example, some of what she describes could be seen as a form of schizophrenia. Concerned about that, she arranges to have herself tested, and finds that she does not have that disease. She also runs a test whereby a psychiatrist picked 20 random patients, and asked Francine to say how they died. Francine was correct 19 of 20 times, and provided interesting new insights into the 20th case.

Putting on a skeptic's hat for a moment, the only explanation I could think of that seemed at all consistent with the facts other than Ms. Browne's interpretation (if we accept things at face value) was that Ms. Browne is a powerful mind-reader and projector of thoughts onto other people. If that is the case, the book is even more extraordinary to me.

In any case, you should make up your own mind about what is here by reading the book for yourself. No one can do that for you.

The book contains remarkable detail about the physical location of the Other Side (3 feet above where we are now), the role of religion there (everything is encompassed), death (it's getting to go to a better place, described in some detail), the physical appearance of the Other Side (down to buildings and what happens in each location), what it's like to be there and spend you days there (no sense of time), and how you leave to be born again into the physical world. There are even detailed drawings to show you what it is like.

This book would make for the basis of a terrific discussion with your spiritual and religious advisors.

Suspend your disbelief stall, listen to your inner self, and see what you think!

Summary: Sylvia does it again
Review: Outstanding book. I don't fear death anymore. I anticipate it. Sylvia has made me want to return home, OUR REAL HOME. If you are feeling down and have fears of any kind, you must get this book. It's better than any medication prescribed by a doctor.
