Summary: This is going to create controversy
Review: I like this chapter on healing; but Tiffany's new book is much better on this by far, since it is the topic of the entire book. Where the healing chapter leaves off in Psychic Gifts, it continues in Power of Divine: A Healer's Guide. Both books blend prayer with a hands on modality, in this case Reiki, so purists on either side will probably have their say. That having been said, there is much good material here in Psychic Gifts that is intended to expand the mind of the reader to move past many religious constrictions and narrowing personal convictions. I find it as an interesting book, and definitely one that is going to create conversation and controversy in many circles.

Summary: A Limited Perspective
Review: I must say I appreciate this book, but having had a fairly complex NDE which has led to a spiritual blossoming, I must say the perspective is limited and not much beyond what is Biblically justified is in the book. Still, it serves an amazing purpose and should not be overlooked.

I was raised by evangelicaly Christians, admitedly ones with a far more closed mind that Dr. Snow, and so it has taken me some time square my experience with The Bible, or the way that most Americans read it. We should of course move beyond this limited reading, and Dr. Snow's knowledge and use of verses and stories is fantastic for those looking to find Christian relevance in their beliefs and experiences. This book is a fantastic guide for those in need of that connection.

Dr. Snow is also a wonderful example of the power of healing and the gifts that can be bestowed on us all, but certainly NDE survivors. Those looking to connect more deeply with those gifts will be interested in this book.

And so I leave my criticism (less criticism and more of a listing of what is not in the book) for my final two paragraphs. Dr. Snow does not mention soul growth (as it is commonly understod), gives no glimpse into the "afterlife" or how Heaven is organized, (for lack of a better word), nor does she mention reincarnation, or any form thereof. I think she should be true to her experience, and is in no way "responsible" for even mentioning these elements if they weren't revealed to her. Still, I have yet to read a NDE book that does not mention these.

NDE's serve many purposes, and certainly God designed Dr. Snow's for a ceratin outcome, and there may have been no reason for these revelations. Still, most readers are trying to piece together a spiritual cosmos and order, and this book will certainly add to it, but these omissions are crucial for some. I can't believe that Dr. Snow is not familiar with this paradigm of NDE's and so I was a bit skeptical that she didn't mention them in any way. I'm not sure how this can be squared with scripture, but the experience is true for so many, including myself, and it is certainly the missiny element in this book.

Summary: Same old song and dance.....................
Review: I picked up this book at a yard sale for fifty cents, and that is about what it was worth. I read NOTHING NEW here that wasn't good old common sense. It seems to me that Ms.Snow is going down Sylvia Browns road and recycling other peoples work.

Summary: This Book Is Full of Scriptures and Godly Miracles
Review: I rarely write a review for any book, but after reading one of the negativity expressed reviews here, I felt compelled to reply. I am a MINISTER and read Rev. Snow's book.
I find it to be sound in its use of scriptures and common sense. There are some unusual accounts in here of her experiences with the Holy Spirit of God, but nothing that I would say is flatly against scripture. God has frequently used unusual and supernatural ways to get the attention of the world, and by the end result the fruitage would be recognized as from the Lord or not. I was requested to read this book by one of my church members, and have found nothing wrong with it, unless your faith feels that Holy Spirit is not active in the modern day church (such as healings and miracles, prophecy, etc).
It might be distressing to see the word "psychic" in the title, but as Rev. Snow contends, "these too must come." No where else in the book did I see the word used. Many Christians today seem to lack the resurrection power that Jesus had - instead of walking in authority, they are running from trouble. Instead of casting out demons (which is also addressed in this book) they are harassed by them. I suggest the person troubled by this book at least read it before casting the first stone. I pray that all Christians would allow the Holy Spirit to use them to help find missing children, work with the FBI, etc, and be giving HIM the glory for it, as Rev. Snow does. She knows her Source, and it is the same loving, Christian God that I know. I congratulate Rev. Snow for her courage. Through the centuries, those who been led by Spirit have always undergone negativity and controversy - this book is no exception, and as Christians, we wouldn't want it any other way.

Summary: I just thought it was flakey
Review: I read this book and I thought it was a waste of time. First, the author has the irratating habit of using exclamation points at the end of sentences. Second, she doesn't go anywhere with this book. She talks about her experiences, but they are watery and pointless. What is she trying to say? It's all marketing and no substance.
Some people may find it helpful, in talk of loneliness and so forth, but it was pointless to me.

Summary: A Very Good Read
Review: I received this for Christmas and once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. I read it all in one sitting.

Summary: A Unique Book - It Should Go Far in the World
Review: If I could give this book 10 stars, I would. I have never - and I am a book store owner - read a book that truly is fully Christian and fully Psychic at the same time. The topics are varied and exciting, simply written yet detailed, and humorous without being stupid. Many are documented, and all are amazing. There are numerous scriptures on every page for those who want to see a Biblical precedent for supernatural things, and the book is packed full of incentives, inspiration and useful examples for ourselves connecting in Spirit with the Divine. Buy one for your neighbor, family and friends and actually have an interesting conversation with them the next time you visit.

Summary: My Fav. NDE Books I have Been There Too
Review: One day in 1995 I died, and had a NDE. Ever since then, I've been reading everything I can on the subject. According to most stories I've read, I had an unusual one, not going down a tunnel, but experiencing many interesting phenomena all the same. It seems to me that there are some NDE books and magazine articles that are just hype, and published just to give recognition. I have found, through my many years and multitudes of books on the subject, that there is an underlining truth and spirit that pervades the true experiences. So, I have compiled a list of my best reads for NDE books - ones that I consider genuine and adding validating light to the personal NDE experience. I have left out compilations, these are personal narratives. I hope you enjoy them too.

Summary: A solid model of the possibilities of human consciousness.
Review: Presents a thorough, solid model of the possibilities of human consciousness. Many suggestions, some quite unique, to promote personal discovery of senses not usually tapped into. The author had a near-death experience, and has learned how to take the information she was given to progress through several psychic stages, including sensing vibratory rates/frequencies in diagnosing health situations (medical intuitiveness), focusing and gathering energy for healing body and soul, (hands-on and long-distance healing), and various psychic abilities for seeing and helping lost souls (ghosts) and seeing and finding live missing persons/murder cases. It is an interesting book, with an uncommon approach. Yes, there is a underlying Source connection throughout, but can be appreciated by people with or without religious views. It will stretch and strengthen the reader to new levels of awareness...wherever they are on their path, it will aid their progress.

Summary: Wait Until I Set Out My Trash
Review: Psychic Gifts by Tiffany Snow is no more than the eccentric ramblings of an "OBSCURE" author. This is the worst NDE book I have EVER read. This "Doctor" makes little to no mention of heaven, what's going on there, and so on. What she does do in this book is attempt to boost her own over inflated ego. An example of that is when I was shopping NDE books on Amazon I purchased this one based on all of the good reviews. Big mistake! Now I have noticed that MOST of the reviews have been posted on the same day (many in one day). Obviously this lady or her family is "Tooting" her own horn. The only gift this lady has is of a somewhat vivid imagination concerning herself. If you feel you must read it, get it a library. Well, on second hand she is an "Obscure" author, even though she is a legend in her own mind. So I doubt a library would have it. Maybe you could pick it up at half.com for a buck or two, or wait until I set my trash out.
