Rating: Summary: Don't Waste Your Money On This One Review: Psychic Gifts in the Christian Life by Tiffany Snow is meteroaker at best. She rambles on about her family and such, which honestly I could have cared less about. If I want "Family Drama," there is plenty of that elsewhere. No, when I bought this book I was looking for substance and found none. What I found was another doctor with an over inflated ego (such as Depok Chopra) rambling on about her family and what not. There was no substance, she had no new insight, she didn't explain anything concerning how heaven is or is not organized, and such. If you are looking for a WELL WRITTEN UNFRAGMENTED book on such subjects I highly recommend Sylvia Browne's new book "Visits From The Afterlife," ISBN number 0525947566. In Browne's book she goes into GREAT detail about things such as the difference between a ghost and a spirit, what happens when we die, where we go, how it works, and she sights some fascinating famous haunting cases, and explains them in a WELL WRITTEN practical manner that the average person can understand.
Rating: Summary: I am Happier, Confident - and a heck more Intuitive! Review: Reading this book can lead you toward the life you want. This book speaks to the heart, and intelligence. It is well written in a way that is easy to understand and to follow. The message from the book is easy to understand and apply as well. My Personal Challenge has long been to push past my own doubts and live my true potential. I have stumbled over many concepts, in my need to blend my fundamental background with the new truths that resonant within me. Tiffany Snow's book has spoken to my heart. And as she shares her spiritual journey with candor, humor, and simple truth, the reader feels like a silent friend learning beside her. She has validated many things for me, and has also persuaded a shift of consciousness at how I look at other things. Her NDE of heaven is pure and Un-Hyped. I find her descriptions of ghosts, spirits, energy tracings, and what the true nature of angels are, as Comforting; the ways she has been able to use the gifts for healing, finding things, helping others; Amazing. The many methods and games for self-discovery of the power within, and how to tap into God gifts; Empowering. I have enjoyed reading it, and I've tried Tiffany's recommendations and achieved great results in my life. She teaches you how to manifest. In her courage to reveal her paranormal experiences, she has encouraged us all to do the same. Thanks Tiffany for sharing with all of us.
Rating: Summary: Truth Hurts - AFTER reading this book you will be different Review: There are around 500 scriptures from the Bible bringing home the truth of this book written by Tiffany Snow D.D. If comfort is what you want or need then read this book. Comfort comes from the ONE true God discussed in this book. If one feels uncomfortable AFTER reading this book then one needs to ask the Lord why? I found that it's was very informative and very accurate Biblically. If one does not find it that way then ONE has (1) NEVER read the Bible (2) Did not have one available to you when reading this book (3) DO NOT care what the Bible has to say PERIOD (4) too lazy to get it out and look up scriptures when reading the book...Don't miss out on what God is using this woman to tell us about the Gifts of God... read this book...NOW... don't wait. Bible-believing Christians are always made to look like fools, but Jesus warned that men would hate us if we truly followed Him. It's worth it to walk with Him! It's a great life, no matter what unbelievers' think about us! As Tiffany says, we all can have supernatural gifts!
Rating: Summary: Highly, Highly, Highly Recommended Review: There are many books on self-help, spirituality, and psychology for the general public out there but this one is probably the best I have ever read by far (and believe me, I have read many). This book explains almost everything I wanted to know in a simple, interesting and inspiring way! It provides answers about spiritual development, the powers of our mind, as well as those power beyond ourselves. It discusses spirituality but is not religious in any way. I couldn't believe how everything made so much sense when I was reading this book! It is quite simple but I never really got it before, and from what I have heard from other people and read in other books, not many people do get it. When I was reading this, it was as if everything clicked! It enables us to see how it all comes together if we understand some basic underlying rules about God. After reading this book people, my life, and the world make so much more sense now. Every moment in life feels like listening to beautiful music! I recommend this book to each and every single person out there interested finding a better way to understand themselves, the world, and their life.
Rating: Summary: If you like NDEs, Deepak, and John Edward Review: This book will knock your socks off. The main thrust is how to do all this yourself - everything from finding missing kids and working on murder cases, to dehaunting houses and healing. There are plenty of great stories, but they act as icing on the cake for the methods that are taught. I've read both of her books, and have been impressed enough to loan them out to non-believing friends, the foundation of common-sense is covered so well. I find her writing is intelligent, to the point, and as encouraging as talking to a good neighbor. Can't wait until her next book.
Rating: Summary: A Book to Open Your Eyes - A Keeper Review: This is a book that may actually be written before its time. Ms. Snow speaks from personal experience - but also draws from numerous other sources in her successful attempt to bridge religion and spirituality - all in a context of Love of God, Self, and Others. No matter what your religion, the information presented here is sure to open your eyes a bit wider, with an acknowledgement of "I get it!" on several points. The word "Psychic" may not be appropriate in the title - perhaps "Divine" or "Supernatural," for the fundamentally squeamish; rest assured there are ample well-cited Biblical texts for the Christians, without any reader feeling uncomfortable. Especially interesting - training the Five Senses to sense God via unusual games and exercises; learning to distinguish our inner voice from outside "Others." Also many thought-provoking concepts, such as "What Religion is God?" If I was to title this book, it would be "Commonsense Christianity."
Rating: Summary: Tools to Connect with Spirit and Self Review: This is a wake up call, for those who are still sleeping. This is a good book that can help stir you up to walk with God and expecting signs and miracles. Helping you move from your comfort zone and into the deeper things of God.
Rating: Summary: This is not a book for Christians Review: This is nothing more than a new age book guised with a Christian title. Psychic gifts are not Biblical and Ms. Snow is combining "feel good" philosophies, buddying them up with new age tactics and using the word "Christian" as a marketing tool. If you are a born-again Christian and believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior, please don't waste your time on this book.
Rating: Summary: One of the best "awakening" books in print Review: This is one of my favorite books on spirituality and the paranormal. This book should be read by everyone, and especially those interested in the afterlife/NDE, and metaphysics. I really enjoyed reading this book. I had a Near Death Experience eight years ago, and I am a member of IANDS. I have been reading everything on the subject ever since. It is extraordinary that so many experiencers come back with healing and psychic abilities. This book is one of the few written that is not just about a NDE, but suggestions to connect with and develop the abilities without having to die first. I have come to believe this may be possible, and would like to see research on experiencer/non-experiencer psychic ability. I have developed the "gift of dreams" as Dr. Snow calls it. This book is for anyone searching for a deeper understanding of their existence.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT NDE! Review: Time after time, I have re-read this book. Usually when I need to work on my own connectedness, or when a loved one or a friend's loved one has died or is about to. Tiffany's book brings me so much comfort. I have shared her book with many friends, even to the point of photo-copying some pages and mailing them to the ones who need it. On one special occasion, I was able to read Tiffany's NDE to a friend who was dying, as he lay in the hospital bed. It brought tears to his eyes, and we were both very moved, knowing the love that awaited him, written in such glowing and warm terms as to make it real. Tiffany shares incredible periods of struggle in her life, and brings us through several spiritual awakenings which have changed her thinking about what was possible, the NDE being the catalyst. Her words teach us to be open and understanding of what we can't often put into our own words. Reading this book helps one focus on the spiritual and makes one know without a doubt, how "connected" we all are to one another, and to a higher source. It shares many experiences from a spiritual standpoint, yet still appeals to my scientific brain. A very enjoyable book, one that you will find yourself sharing with others, when you don't have the words yourself. It's a place of peace.
