Rating: Summary: Another Fantastic Read By Sherrilyn Kenyon! Review: KOTN is a great read. It's a remarkable tale of love and redemption. The hero and heroine manage to overcome vast obstacles between their worlds to come together for a happily ever after. In addition, the author explores the gray area between good and bad in the Apollite world. Kenyon has created a rich and diverse universe that is entertaining and exciting. This book is a definite compliment to the Dark Hunter series which is filled with vibrant characters and exceptional storytelling.
Rating: Summary: Keeps getting better! Review: Kiss of the Night is an excellent book. Both Hero & Heroine have a lot to overcome. Their conflicts are twofold coming from external forces as well as their own inner predjuces. Sherilyn Kenyon keeps the heat on through out the story. Every woman needs a little Wulf in her life. Can't wait for Night Play to be released!
Rating: Summary: A Phenomenal Read!! Review: I have read all of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter Series. I thought she'd never be abll to out do Dance with the Devil for characterization, but I was wrong. By expanding the scope of the story to encompass an awareness on the Hunter's part of how his actions effect people in the larger world, she took the series into a wonderful new dimension. I made the mistake of reading this book at a writer's conference right before I had to give a workshop. I went to that workshop with red rimmed eyes from the tears I'd shed on behalf of more than one character. Ms. Kenyon's talent is such that I had no choice to not only connect with her characters, but to be dragged into the conflicts consuming their lives, laughing and crying with them as they struggled with the choices before them. I loved this book. I couldn't put it down once I'd begun, and anyone who likes intense, multifaceted books with in depth characterization and complex, well drawn plots would do well to to add Kiss of the Night to their must read pile. Definitely a keeper!

Rating: Summary: Schizoid, not romantic, personality Review: The hero and the heroine make love in their dreams. Then he finds out that she's a member of a race that he is sworn to destroy (sort of -- if she ever starts killing people -- a distinction that he doesn't really make in his self-pitying musings). He immediately accuses her of manipulating him and rejects her. She claims that she still sees tenderness in him, but I don't! For the longest time, he is focused on his problems (granted, they are large problems), and ignores her issues, including the fact that she's going to die in 8 months. Suddenly, he decides he loves her and feels really bad that she's going to die. He says that he's going to prevent it -- but you don't see him doing much about it. She is finally saved (somewhat deus ex machina) -- mostly by Acheron. Granted the hero must overcome prejudices of his own, but it's over very quickly. It's never that clear why he loves HER as opposed to any woman who wouldn't forget him. (In fact, he repeatedly thinks -- "oh, I should have started sleeping with a woman like her a long time ago. Oh, no, it must be her specifically." His delivery just isn't that believable.) The development of the mythology of this alternate universe is interesting, but somewhat confused and drawn-out. (Granted, that may be intentional to hide Acheron's true identity -- which we have a good idea about at this point.) Though this is an interesting series, this entry did not reach the heights of past books -- perhaps because it was more ambitious in terms of the development of the mythology and had farther to fall.
Rating: Summary: Another Winner from Kenyon! Review: I've been waiting for Wulf's story since Night Pleasures and I am pleased to say Kenyon did him justice in the newest installment of the Dark Hunter saga. Wulf is a Viking who came into being a Dark Hunter by trickery rather than voluntarily. As such, he's different from most Dark Hunters and part of his curse is that most people, all humans except for those of his blood, cannot remember him five minutes after they meet him. Of course this makes him incredibly lonely and overprotective of his last living relative and squire Chris. There's some great stuff there between Wulf and Chris and I hope that we can hear more about the Squires as the books go forward. In walks Cassandra, a 26 year old Appolite who will die a horrible painful death on her 27th birthday like all other cursed Appolites if she doesn't choose to become a soul sucking Daimon instead. Bingo, they meet when he saves her life (did I mention that she's the last of her bloodline and if she dies the world ends so the Spathi Demons are trying to kill her and bring on armageddon?) and she remembers him. Hot sex dreams ensue and they fall in love (and a bunch of other stuff that would be spoilers so I'll refrain). A strong leading female character is so nice to see in a romance book. Smart, tough and yet very soft and a nice foil for the uber tough barbarian Wulf. Great sexy chemistry makes them a good couple. I enjoyed hearing more of the backstory of how the Appolites and the Daimons came into existence and as always, it's a pleasure to read anything featuring Ash. I also enjoyed a more complete portrayal of the Appolites and Daimons, creating a more complex view, rather than Dark Hunters good and Daimons bad. Loads of hanging story threads for future books too. All in all, quite enjoyable, although I must admit to not seeing a single "matrix style" fight scene as is described in one review.
Rating: Summary: Not what I expected Review: I was dissapointed in this book, so much that I had to push myself to finish it. After the caliber of "Dance With The Devil" (I read it 4 times in 2 weeks) I had looked forward to this book. It jumped around to much at the beginning for the story took place at the same time as Night Embrace, that I felt that this book should've came out before Night Embrace. I am looking forward to reading Vanes story next.
Rating: Summary: Who's Afraid of the Bid bad Wulf? Review: Here comes the big bad Wulf...Wulf Tryggvasen. This Big Bad Viking is Rough, Tough, and has one little Problem. No one can remember him after five minutes of meeting him. This Big lovable Softy is yearning for love & Acceptance and Ends up finding it in the arms of the enemy. A Strawberry Blonde Half-Breed Apollite who will soon die at the age of 27, which is in about 8 months. To add some Chao's to this twist..she's about to birth his child. Kenyon Drags you in once again with a multitude of Twists! In this book, you get to see things from an Apollite Perspective & How they see the Dark Hunters.
Rating: Summary: It Just Keeps Getting Better And Better!!! Review: This series manages to just keep getting better and better. In Ms. Kenyon's latest addition to the DH series we meet Wulf. A Viking that is a Dark Hunter but not. He has survived for centuries with no one remembering him five minutes after he leaves their presence. That's all about to change when he meets Cassandra. Problem with Cassandra is he has sworn to kill her kind (she's Appollite) and now with the help of the Gods and orders from Ash he now finds himself protecting that which he has hunted. Of course Cassandra is half human so it should be okay that he is now feeling intense things for her and there is the added bonus that she remembers him. We learn more about the DH legend in this story as well as getting to know the Appollite's as well. They are more then people that might turn Daimon. This story was very touching at times (I even managed to tear up a few times) as well as sensual. Ms. Kenyon has an incredible imagination and is not afraid to use it. Julian, Zarak, Ash, Talon, and Kyrian all play a part in this story. I would really be hard pressed to pick my favorite story since they are all different and lets face it so far all of the DH are yummy! If you are new to this series you will find this book very entertaining, and if you have been following it from the beginning such as I have you won't want to miss this story!!! I can hardly wait for the next in the series. Ms. Kenyon truly can't write it fast enough for me!
Rating: Summary: Bring it on, Sheri's men are HOT! Review: I am a big fan of this woman's work. She never fails to thrill with her stories, and her characters have inspired a very large rp group to make it their mission in life to fill my email inbox with stories that enthrall just because they are in some loose way affliated with hers. I am a total DH addict, and I am not lookin for a cure. The premise of the story is that Wulf the latest of her DH's is cursed with the fact that nobody remembers him after he leaves. Only people of his bloodline do so. There are moments of extreme hilarity involving his sole descendent by the name of Chris. Poor guy has been pushed towards women by Wulf. He calls him the jewish mother of DH's. Wulf himself and his heroine, Cassandra are made for each other, even though they should be sworn enemies. There is lots of action both physical and sexual, so be forewarned. Sheri shows more of the Daimon's life in this book, making it harder to just hate them and root for the hunters. But just like in life, there are no black and white's just shades of gray. Pick up this wonderful book and have a rollicking good read. I suck them up really fast and then sigh and wait impatiently until the next one comes out. Come on NIGHT PLAY!
