Summary: Kenyon adds more to the Dark Hunter mystique!
Review: Kiss of the Night is a great addition to the Dark-Hunter series. I've been a fan of the books from the first and this latest offering did not disappoint. Each book in the series has been different from the previous so that I don't feel that I'm reading the same story re-hashed.
Clear cut impressions of good and bad from earlier works take on new meanings and the lines between right and wrong begin to blur. But what I loved the most was that the book added to the myth of the dark-hunter/daimon/appolite world.

Wulf and Cassandra are perfect. They are placed in the situation of having to overcome tremendous obstacles to
have a relationship. Favorite characters from earlier Dark-Hunter books re-appeared and added alot of humor and fun.

Highly recommend this book to all.

Summary: Very good but confusing
Review: I thought this book ranked up there with Ms. Kenyon's other works except for one thing. I got confused. Apollites are supposed to die when they are 27. Cassandra's mom and sisters where blown up on the night the oldest sister had a fight with mom about college? Did her mom have kids when she was ten? Outside of that timeline dilema, I loved the humor and the characters, both new and old. Ms. Kenyon writes some entertaining books.

Summary: Fair..looking forward to Bride and Vane's story
Review: I would have to agree with those who say that this story just isn't up to the level of Kenyon's other dark hunter novels. After reading each of those books I immediately turned back to the beginning and started the book all over again. There was a depth to both the male and female lead characters that just isn't in this one. I found myself more interested in Vane and Bride (brief excerpt from upcoming book contained at the end of this story) I didn't particularly care about either Wulf or Cassandra and was happy when Talon, Zarek and Julian were brought back for brief moments. One possible problem may be the numerous side characters and the excess of detail about the relationship between the gods, appolites, daimons, etc. I wouldn't say don't read this book, but I would caution you not judge the entire series by this one book - the other stories are phenomenal!

Summary: Good but not one of her best
Review: After Dance with the Devil I guess it is only right to get one not quite as good. That is my all time favorite. This is a good even great read. Anything by Kenyon is going to be very readable. My only problem with this one is Wulf's obsession with his descendant Chris. I loved the "unanswered " yet intriging questions about Ash, Stryker, and Esspecially Katra. My dislike and even disgust with Artemis and Apollo are growing exponentially with every book. However, I wouldn't miss a one. This world seems to expand so much with each adventure. All of our favorites from other books make a wonderful short stop to visit in this adventure. The humanity and compassion make this one of the must read books in the saga. Kenyon makes us care for people we had come to feel were unlovable. I felt the solution to Wulf and Cassie's problem was a little to easy. But we are left with another great cast member in Urian. A thousand stories I want to know. Guess we'll just have to wait for one at a time. ARRRRRRGH!!!!!!!

Summary: Slightly disappointed
Review: I have to say this was the weakest dark hunter novel to date. Storyline way to conjested and complicated. Sometimes I had a hard time rembering the hero and heroines names so many new characters were introduced in this novel. And whats so bad about it is that all the external characters were more entertaining than the hero and heroine. The Phoebe/Urian romance was hotter than the main characters. Will chalk this one up to everyone has a bad moment, and its easy to do since all her other work was so great. I will just focus on next time and hope for better days.

Summary: Too complicated.
Review: While I enjoyed it and finished it in a day, I wasn't as impressed by it as I was by some of her past books. I felt that the ending was contrived. The solution to their problem made no sense to me. And then though Acheron basically told them to do it, it didn't work and then he had to come fix it? Sorry to be so vague but I don't want to give it away :p I just couldn't quite connect what was going on in the end. I'm looking forward to her shifting her focus to the Were-hunters.

Summary: so-so
Review: I'm kind of in a minority too-while I did read this entire book in a quick day/night combo, it was not as totally exciting as the others. I agree that the best part is Simi returning as a baby and the 3 "gunslingers" from the other books showing up as reinforcements. I found it extremely complicated and actually the most confusing of the series-I was tempted to stop and take notes and do a timeline/family tree thing to keep everyone straight. I did enjoy the history/differences in the Daimons/ and the underground city was interesting but I wasn't really engaged as I have been in the last books. And where in the world did Phoebe and Urian come from???? seemed way too contrived for me. Zarek's book was more emotionally gripping for me but I assume this one needed to be here to move towards the next stories. I certainly don't have any hope of understanding for someone who hasn't read the other books in the series!!!! I, too, will wait for the next book in August. (The epilogue was cute-the swing set bit really made me chuckle!)

Summary: Good, but not my favorite
Review: Okay, I know I'm going against the majority, but I just didn't like this installment as much as I liked the other ones.

By the way I'm a huge Sherrilyn Kenyon fan and have devored all of her Dark-Hunter novels. They are on my keeper shelf and I re-read them every chance I get.

Having said that, Wulf and Cassandra's romance didn't engage me as much as Zerek, Talon, Kyrain and Julian's did. I kept reading the book hoping for something more from them and never getting it. The part I did love about the book was it's prolouge, which gives you a deeper background on Acheron's orgins (which I think I have figured out!!!) and the apperance of the other Dark-Hunter's from her previous books and Julian (which, I thought was the best part of the novel).

Yet, I'm still glad I read it, and I hope that the next novel about Vane will be worth me rushing to the store the moment it's released, like I did for this one.

Summary: VERY NICE
Review: I agree that this story is the best one yet of the dark hunter series. I really liked the way the writer showed us who Daimons actually are, they are not all evil. Very nice job Ms. Kenyon.

Summary: AMAZING...they just keep getting better and better
Review: I don't think I can say it better than lunafelis' review (great review lunafelis)!!!

This was, to me,the most complex of the Dark-Hunter books, and I loved it. So many new insights into various species (is that the right word for these people) that encompass this series.

I can't say it better than lunafelis did, so read her review, she did an outstanding job of saying exactly what I would say about this book!!!
