Summary: My Eyes are Crossed!!
Review: After having read all of Rachel Gibson's book in one week, I read Daisy in one day. Each of her books kept getting better and better and I actually liked this one very much.

I had read the lower ratings that she was getting for this one so I was a little apprehensive about it. I decided the best way to enjoy Daisy is to not compare it to her other books.

I gave it four stars because I truly felt all the emotions that the characters did even if I didn't always agree with what was happening. It was very well written and one I hope to reread some day.

Summary: When Bad Books Happen to Good Writers
Review: If you have never read any of Rachel Gibson's books-run from this book and purchase anything but Lola Carlyle! If you have read and loved Rachel like I do, read it..but know..it is not up to her standards. It is missing her wonderful voice. And I have to ask..as we cannot empathise with these people whatsoever...where did she come up with such dull people? If I had been given this book without any information, I would never have known Rachel wrote it.

Summary: Too much to swallow, too little to like
Review: The only genuinely likable character in this book is Nathan, the 15 year old son. But the 'heroine' - oh, please! If I could get past the fact that at eighteen she made a bad judgment call because she was young and afraid, and then stuck with it out of loyalty to her husband, I still can't get past how she treats the biological father of her child in the present. How dare she presume that the onus is on him -- that he should just 'get over it.' Really, she's lucky he didn't file for sole custody. There is no way I can admire this woman, and no way I can believe in our hero's abrupt forgiveness. I give these two six months before they end up in court. How's that for a convincing romance!

Summary: I was disappointed. . .
Review: As hard as I tried, I just could NOT like this book. Although the book was well-written, as Rachel Gibson's always are, what Daisy did in raising Jack's son with his (former) best friend as the dad for 15 years without telling him is something so cruel, I just couldn't get past it. Then her cavalier attitude about what she did just compounded the problem. Sorry, but this one is a real downer.

Summary: Not Gibson's Best
Review: I know not to start one of Rachel Gibson's books without having enough time to read right through. In the past, I have basically not put the book down until I had finished it. Not so with this one. It just never got me caught up in the plot like her other books. I never found myself caring about the main characters. The book is an okay read but not even close to her previous books.

Summary: Usually a huge Rachel Gibson fan...
Review: This premise was disappointing; no, actually it was frustrating.

Not telling Jack he was a Dad might have worked as the young, hurt girl Daisy was when she got pregnant. Not telling him for fifteen years and then after telling him later saying, "...if you and I are to have a future, you have to get past it" is beyond imaginable.

I couldn't get past the general plot. Gibson writes well and there are enjoyable & fun parts...but not enough to make it worthwhile. Wish I would have passed. Gibson's talented, and I hope to enjoy her next venture.

Summary: avid romance book reader
Review: I have been a fan of Rachel Gibson since her first book. This one, I don't know if I would even let this person in my house, let alone have sex with them, unprotected at that. I was disappointed with the story. Like I said I have always liked her books, but this one, left a little to be desired. Hopefully next time will be better. I try to give an author the benefit of the doubt, but if you get burned more than once, your are less apt to buy the next book. I've done that with a few authors.

Summary: Plot Flaws and All I Loved This Story!
Review: Rachel Gibson has been one of my favorite writers for quite sometime now and as a fan I have enjoyed all of her books including Daisy's Back in Town. Not without a few flaws in the plot line SO WHAT I say, this books is still one of my favourites!

Summary: A few plot issues but overall Great!!
Review: Yes, Daisy did a bad thing. Yes, she should have told Jake sooner, but, we have all done something we thought we would make right and the longer we waited the harder it became. I thought the characters were very likeable and loved the sexual tension between the hero and heroine. I started this book on a Sunday afternoon and finished it that evening. I thought it was excellent. The only part I had even a little problem with was that Jack forgave her so easily. I realize that a book can only be so long but I wish that a few more chapters could have been included to give him a little more time to come to terms with Daisy's deception. Otherwise - Ms. Gibson keep up the great work!! Wish I had one of your books to read every week!

Summary: Gibson has lost her edge!
Review: I used to be a huge fan of this writer but her last few books have really turned me off. I think Gibson has lost her edge. Save your time and your money this book sucks mighty! Yuck! I am going back to the real pros in the literary field. Who you might be asking? Why, Joana Ross and Stella Cameron, of course. The older writers have all lost their edge. Everything is forever reading the same. You read one of their books and you've read them all. I'm sick of them all copying off each other, enuff already! I think the romance field needs a "V' B12 Shot" or something to put a little life back into it! Perhaps writers such as this one needs to take a break...or better yet perhaps retire altogether...just a thought!
