Summary: A complete rip-off
Review: This is a complete rip-off of Diana Gabaldon's Highlander series and does not deserve recognition let alone a review!

Summary: That's It...I'm Moving To Scotland!!!!
Review: Seriously, this was a fast paced sexy, romantic, and funny read. The characters were great, and if I could find a way to time travel back to find a brawny, sexy highlander of my own I'd pack my bags now!!!

Gwen is ready for a change. She's still a virgin, on a tour of Scotland with a group of retired old people, and not a strong handsome "cherry picker" in sight. Ok so she goes on a hike and falls in on one. What she is not aware of is the fact that her highlander has been sleeping for over 500 years and is not prepared for present day anything! But that doesn't stop him from driving Gwen insane with his funny talk, and kissing her senseless!

Drustan MacKeltar has been taking a long rest (500 years worth of long) and is thrilled when he awakens to having a wee lass sitting directly over his groin looking at his sock???? Whatis a sock? Really he has more important things to do like getting back to his own century then kissing his wee lass senseless, or trying to figure out what she is saying. She certainly is not speaking any English that he's ever heard!

Together they get Drustan back to his home or where his home should be only to find out it didn't survive, and now they have to go back in time. Problem is Gwen still thinks her cherry picker is insane (time travel... oh yeah, right all the time!)so she dumbfounded when she arrives naked, no longer a virgin (I'm not going to give that part away) and wet in Scotland 500 years earlier. Problem is the new Drustan does not know who Gwen is and has serious doubts about her sanity. One thing he can't get over is how much he wants to kiss her!

Of course there is more to the book then this. I've just given you a small taste. Trust me you won't be able to put this one down. Laughs aplenty and steamy hot chemistry and romance. Ms. Moning has become an author I'll pick up simply because her name is on the book!

Summary: Entertaining!
Review: Yep! This is definitely a keeper; I so enjoyed it. I guess I'll have to say that I liked 'The Dark Highlander' better, but that's not to say that this one isn't a keeper. However, if you haven't read either of them I would suggest reading this one first. It's definitely a prologue to 'The Dark Highlander'. Gwen was a hoot! I loved the 'falling out the window scene' & about died laughing at the 'cherry tree chopper-downer'!!!!! lol lol I still chuckle when I think of that! And talk about your tall, dark, handsome hero! Ohmygosh!!! This one's enough to drool over!
This is a time-travel (present day & the 1500's). It also touches on the Druids of ancient Scotland. That stuff is interesting to me.
I really liked the way KMM wrapped this all up also. It didn't leave anything out, didn't rush, left you hanging for a little while. The ending was a complete surprise too - not that they lived happily ever after - but the manner in which they got back together. KMM did another excellent job!

Summary: Terrific time travel romance.....
Review: This is the story of Drustan MacKeltar and Gwen. Drustan lays sleeping in a cave in Scotland when Gwen accidentally falls on him and awakens him. Their adventures and misadventures begin their.

At first she believes that he is crazy though handsome. But somehow Gwen is drawn to him and agrees to help him get to the area where his castle is. They get there and travel back through time to his century but the only problem is that Drustan does not remember who she is and is extremely distrustful of her.

It takes her a lot of time to figure out how to get him to remember who she is. It is quite funny and amusing thoughout.

A well told tale with some of the steamiest sex scenes in romance today. boy can Moning write them! Whew.

A 5 star effort. Well worth investing in because you will want this one to reread. :)

Summary: Do yourself a favour--read it!
Review: It was my first book by K.M.Moning and I enjoyed it immensely. I think that it is rather unfair to compare Miss Moning's works with that of Diana Gabaldon's. Miss Gabaldon's novels are for those who really love history and enjoy reading long and heavy stories--over 1000 pages each book and in smaller printing. Although the heroine in this book was not so lovable in the beginning and some of Moning's vocabularies are quite vulgar but on the whole, this time-travel story was rather absorbing and well-written. I bought this book based on the reviews I read on this website and I was very grateful for all those reviewers, especially those who gave low ratings to this book because then I know what kind of writing I will be getting myself into and I should not blame those high-rating ones if the book is not to my liking after all. Keep an open mind and enjoy the reading.

Summary: So much fun!
Review: I *loved* this book. So much so that I *had* to have/read the rest of Ms. Moning's books. I couldn't put it down. I thought Gwen was humorous and witty and Drustan sexy and passionate. My favorite scene was in the clothing store! If you love time-travel/historicals, then this book is for you.

Summary: Not for Outlander Fans
Review: Having recently returned from the world of Claire and Jamie in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, I was on a Scottish kick, so to speak. I picked up this book based on the recommendations here. Boy was I sorry! If this is an example of Moning's work, then I will certainly not read any other of her works. I found this book shallow and silly. Little detail is given to the physical setting, the characters were vapid and did not ring true what so ever. There is no real historic "feel." Overall, the book is cheesy. For fans of Outlander, I recommend the Into the Wilderness series by Sara Donati. Although it is not a time travel, the characters are strong and true, and there is a high level of historical accuracy.
