Summary: Exciting, Amazing, Wonderful, Erotic--I want my Highlander..
Review: Karen Marie Moning has done it again! Karen is at the TOP of the List for time-travel romantic writers right beside Lynn Kurland and the few other wonderful writers who create wonderful love stories with the weaving of time.

I was waiting with much anticipation for her 4th book called the "Kiss of the Highlander" and I was not disappointed. Once again I purchased her book on a Saturday and could not put it down till I was finished. And what a great story of "love will conquer all." Now I am in dire need for her next one called "Dark Highlander", but will have to wait another year. Absolutely the best....a MUST read for you will not be disappointed.

Summary: Great Historical?TimeTravel
Review: I think this book carries on the legacy of great historicals that Karen has become popular for. There were twists in it that I loved and I didn't stop until I had read the book in one day. Drustan and Gwen were completely different from all of her other past heros and heroines (Hawk and Adrian, Circen and Lisa etc), but the only comparison was the strength that both characters exuded. This book was great & I recommend it.

Summary: Incredible -- the perfect love story
Review: I LOVED this book! It is captivating from the start. I could not put it down.

I enjoy it when the male character falls in love with the female character first. All of Moning's books are great, but this is a good one to read it you just want to try one of her books before getting the others.

Karen Marie Moning is an intelligent writer with just the right amount of humor, sensuality and action. She is one of the best romance writers out there.

Summary: An Engaging Read
Review: Karen Marie Moning wrote a great book that is magical, humorous, sensual, and romantic to boot.
"Kiss of the Highlander." Generally I am not a fan of either Time Travel books or of books about the Highlands but I couldn't find anything else that looked interesting and thought 'what the hey, I'll take a chance', and I wasn't disappointed.
Gwen Cassidy and Drustan MacKeltar are both engaging and vulnerable without being whiney or arrogant. And Ms. Moning found a great way to inject tension into the plot, the whole time travel -- do we believe each other thing -- without having to make either of her main characters behave as jerks. When one or the other is suspicious of the other character it is for good reason rather than some terminal character flaw like extreme jealousy, insecurity or just plain stupidity.
It was a great book that I devoured in one sitting and I look forward to reading all of her "Highland" books in the near future.

Summary: Fantastic Time-travel Romance
Review: As Ms. Moning's fourth novel, KISS OF THE HIGHLANDER is a time-travel transporting the reader back and forth between the sixteenth century and the present one.

Gwen Cassidy embarks on a tour of Scotland hoping to find a man in the process. Instead, she finds herself in the midst of nicotine withdrawal on a bus filled with senior citizens. While hiking, she falls through a hidden hole into some type of cavern and lands on a man. As she examines him, she discovers that he is not dead but merely sleeping.

Awakened after a five hundred year slumber, Drustan MacKeltar attempts to convince Gwen that he is truly from the past, but she merely thinks him a little addled, though he is the most attractive man she has ever seen. A healthy dose of humor combined with sizzling attraction makes for some irresistible reading as Gwen and Drustan go clothes shopping and rent a car to take him back to the castle that was once his home.

With eerie mysticism, Drustan, as a druid, is able to catapult the two back in time to discover what happened to his clan. The sparring between Drustan and Gwen is fast-paced and ripe with innuendo as Gwen tries to convince the sixteenth century version of Drustan that she traveled five hundred years back in time with him. Will their love prevail, as the intricacies of time travel seem a constant impediment?

Ms. Moning has written a truly original novel carefully combining love and laughter in such a manner as to make this a fantastic read. As the air crackles with attraction between Drustan and Gwen, they learn to discover a common ground between them, as they are truly centuries apart. Readers can eagerly anticipate DARK HIGHLANDER, the story of Dageus, Drustan's twin brother

Summary: Exceptional read
Review: Captivating her audience with yet another enticing Scottish tale, Karen Marie Moning proves her escalating skill as a writer with Kiss of the Highlander. Gwen wants a man. Desperately. And boy does she get one--a magic-weilding, time-travelling Druid. With issues.

Engaging, witty, sexy--very sexy, heartbreaking, and downright hysterical in places, Kiss of the Highlander follows suit with Ms. Moning's previous titles. Surpassing the standard romance stereotype, there's an honesty to her writing that strikes a strong chord in her readers. This is a story that will definitely linger in the audience's hearts and make them thirst for more...especially Dageus's tale...

Summary: Must Read!!!!!!
Review: This book is simply fun. It has sexy parts to make you drool.
Teasing jokes to make you laugh. Love to make you sigh. The
story is fun to watch it unfold. You want and cheer for all to work out.
However be prepared to wait another year for the sequel to be released. If you do not want to get hooked
do not read the last couple of pages for this next story.
I just about cried for having to wait until next year.
Otherwise, read this book and the few others and purely enjoy.

Summary: This book will be the best book you read this year!
Review: Ms. Moning has out done herself this time. I have read all of her books and this one is the best so far. Her other books are really good but, if you read them in the order that she wrote them you will see her grow into a great writer. She has a flare for romance. I hope she keeps this up. I push all of my friends to read her books. She knows how to pull you into her story and not a lot of authors can do that. I have always thought Diana Gabaldon's book "Outlander" was the best Scottish romance book I have read. I will say Kiss of the Highlander is just as good..... It is a wonderful book. If you want to read a book that grabs you and holds your attention till the very end and keeps you guessing on what is going to happen all the way thur this is the book for you!!!!!!!!!! She even did a wonderful job setting you up for next years book. I read every romance novel based on or in Scotland. So I have read a lot of books that were wrote very well and I have read a lot of books that 'bit'. I will have to say this is the best one this year.... The character Gwen is smart, funny, and you can relate. Drustan is not only great looking but real too. She writes this book as if she is telling a true story and she makes you believe it. Don't ask me how. She just 'brings' you right into her stories. She makes them very interesting. I laughed, cried and was very surprised how she ended the book. YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!!!! I PROMISE IT WILL NOT BE A LET DOWN....

Summary: Kiss of the Highlander a must read.
Review: Karen Marie Moning's 4th novel is an enjoyable read. If you like time-travel romances into 16th century Scottish Highlands, you will enjoy Kiss of the Highlander. The author develops her characters and their relationships well. She also cleverly injects humor along the way. I, personally, appreciated not having to wade through endless historical data or long tedious descriptions. I understand that her 5th novel will continue with one of the characters in Kiss. If you haven't given any of Karen's novels a try, please do so, and I wager that you will want to read some of her previous work.
