Summary: a romp through tears and laughter
Review: I'll admit I am a Susan Elizabeth Phillips fan and this book did not disappoint me. The characters are fully developed and very real. The story is a hoot and totally believable with enough angst and conflict thrown in to make you guess what happens next. I laughed and gave story updates to my two teenagers along the way. And by the end I had tears. This is a treasure.

Summary: LOL funny!
Review: This has to be the best so far from Susan Elizabeth Phillips! Sexy, FUN, hero, spunky, smart heroine, and supporting characters every bit as charming (except for the villian, of course!)as the leads. The dialogue was sparkling and so witty! I don't even want to give away one little bit of the story line because I want everyone who reads this book to discover the delights for themselves. One hint! Keep an eye on Petie for one of the most hysterically funny scenes ever written! A classic! I'm still laughing! Have I teased enough?!!?!

Summary: What Sexy Fun!
Review: Oh, golly, gee--a Phillips books is such a treat! One of the funniest, kind of kinky but funny love scenes I've ever read with a heroine who's every bit the hero's Waterloo! Nobody writes better heroes and laugh-out-loud stories with a touch-your-heart tenderness than Phillips. I wouldn't miss one of her books for anything less than, oh, maybe, a chance to spend an hour with Mel Gibson--and maybe not even then! This book is just that good.

Summary: This is SEP's best book yet
Review: It's not very often that a book so highly anticipated not only meets, but surpasses expectations. The story of a woman who is willing to do almost anything to soil her reputation meeting up with a man who has to hold onto his reputation may not sound original, but boy, SEP delivers in Spades. Emma and Kenny are characters that are easy to love. Add to that a wickedly sexy secondary romance between Kenny's would-be trashy sister, Torie, and geek-from-heaven Dexter O'Conner, the reappearance of Dallie and Francesca (from Fancy Pants) and this story is truly a character driven delight. Get yourself to the bookstore quick, because Lady Be Good is not just sweet and lovely, but a most wonderful read!

Summary: A dream of a humorous contemporary romance
Review:

The acting Profeesional Golf Association (PGA) commissioner Dallie Beaudine indefinitely suspends Kenny Traveler for his latest scandal. Dallie warns the internationally renowned playboy that if he fails to clean up his act, he will not return to his favorite sport in time to play on the Seniors Tour. Dallie's spouse needs an escort for her visiting English friend, Lady Emma Wells-Finch. A reluctant Kenny agrees to do it in order to get on the good side of the commissioner.

Emma, the headmistress of a school for girls who has lived a very vice-free life, is being pressured to marry someone she does not love. Her perspective groom blackmails her with threatening to close down her beloved school. Emma needs a scandal to wreck her reputation and turn her into soiled goods. Kenny is perfect for the part except he wants to remain clean in order to regain his card. However, neither one anticipated love would intercede in their relationship.

LADY BE GOOD is a witty contemporary romance that has the trademark Susan Elizabeth Phillips' humorous relationships between the sexes running throughout the story. The lead characters are at their teasing best when they interact, leaving readers with a fabulous romantic romp. Like DREAM A LITTLE DREAM, this novel appears to be another bestseller by a great contemporary writer.

Summary: GOOD BUT NOT HER BEST
Review: Like most of her readers, I have read all of her books. This one, though follows her usual style, certainly is not her best (Try "It Had To Be You",or "Heaven, Texas", then you'll know what I mean). Still, one do have the usual delights in her books. Lady Emma sounds less assuring but I actually like Kenny. Susan Elizabeth Phillips has done a great job in creating this male character. Less sex scenes are in this book though a good one is already enough. What is most promising about this book (and all of her books) is that as the story goes on, Susan Elizabeth Phillips writes better and better and the characters are more developed. What I really enjoy most of all her books is the last part as how the man will try all his best to win the lady's heart. The way Kenny wins Emma's heart finally is fascinating.(You should TRY "HEAVAN, TEXAS" for the best example). Overall, "Lady Be Good" is a good romance.
