Rating: Summary: So funny that I kept laughing and reading it aloud. Review: I picked this up not realizing that it carried on the characters from Fancy Pants which had been my hilarious intro to her books. This book is a hoot. As silly golf books go, it's up there with Dan Jenkins. As romances go, it's up there with few others. I started it during my lunch hour and kept reading it aloud to my co-workers who laughed along with me. Good read.
Rating: Summary: Fun, Funny, Sexy, and Excellent! Review: Phillip's latest is also one of her best. She introduces fun, fascinating new characters, and reintroduces some long-ago (and sorely missed) ones. It's wonderful to see how they've changed, and how they relate to Lady Emma and Kenny, and his wonderful sister Torie. The Travelers are a great new family, and it was nice to catch up on the Beaudines, too! SEP's mix of romance and fun hits the spot. I wish she had a hundred books!
Rating: Summary: Another Good Read Review: Lady Be Good becomes a collectible like all of Ms. Phillips' other novels. While this book definitely has Ms. Phillips' trademark writing style, I felt it lacked something. It left me waiting for something to happen that never did. I'm used to reading her novels in one sitting and this one took me a little longer to get through. Lady Emma and Kenny were an interesting couple, but the chemistry didn't jump off the page at you like it usually does with all of her other novels. The storyline with the fiance in England was disappointing, but the sub-plot with Dexter and Torie was great. I was happy to see the characters from her novel "Fancy Pants", Francesca and Dallie Beaudine, as well as their son, Teddy make an appearance. While I always anxiously await Ms. Phillips' books, their story is still my favorite.
Rating: Summary: Light and entertaining; a very pleasant evening's read Review: LADY BE GOOD is a light romantic comedy with a pleasant twist and engaging characters.
Rating: Summary: A definite "All Nighter!" Review: Her best work yet! I felt utterly embarrased, however, laughing out loud on the train! A definite read for Ms. Phillips' fans! She DOES NOT disappoint. I have read many (many) romance books in my lifetime and I can't recall when I've read a book that I literally loved each character! They were all so wonderfully real! There are so many suprises in this book, I just couldn't wait to read what Emma did next! I was not disappointed--especially that scene before the villain is about to get away and Emma does something desperate -- I won't give it away. It was a hoot! I thought her "Nobody's Baby but Mine" book was my fav -- it's a toss up now!
Rating: Summary: Another Keeper from Susan Elizabeth Phillips Review: I bought this book on my weekend off from work. My family found me on the couch with my book and my soda saying don't bother me this is my space and my time to read. I have read all of Susan Elizabeth Phillips books and this is another one that makes you laugh and cry. Lady Emma and Kenny Traveler are great. I enjoyed Torie and Dexter, along with the rest of the family. This one will stay with the rest of those books you just can't bare to part with. Watch out for Petie at the Mall with Lady E and Kenny. This sequence is great. My little boy wanted to know if I was OK and what was so funny. I could picture Kenny or some other Jock type dad doing the exact same thing.Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
Rating: Summary: BETTER THAN HER BEST Review: If you love SEP, this one will go to the keeper shelf. I needed the laughs and she does such a wonderful job of pulling you in and hitting you with the punch line. Great Job!!!!
Rating: Summary: What fun! Review: This book is laugh-out-loud fun! I love all of her books, but this is one of the best. I just wish she could write faster!
Rating: Summary: Buy It!!!! Review: If you like SEP, this book is a must have, if you've never read her books before, then after reading this one you'll be looking for all her other books. I loved this book, the characters were well developed and it was hilarious.
Rating: Summary: An absolute MUST READ!!!! Review: Lady Be Good is hilarious, sexy, and wonderfully well written. It's one of those books you can't bear to put down. I know I'll read it again and again -- and laugh out loud each time. It's a definite keeper, and a book I'll highly recommend to everyone who likes sexy romantic comedies -- well actually, I'll recommend it to everyone regardless of what they like!
