Summary: Underground Railroad
Review: This book offered so much history about my city and the area. The information about Second Baptist Church and the produce markets it was great. The romance was wonderful between Hester and Galen. And I also enjoy reading about them in Vivid. Beverly's books put you in the story and make you part of the history too. I've read all of her books and waiting for the new one.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Indigo'! I've read all but 'Nightsong' from Beverly Jenkins. This book was by far the BEST. If ever there should be a novel on screen - THIS IS IT! I would love to see such a great historic african american love story on the big screen. I'm sure I'm not alone in looking for my own 'Galen Vachon'. Kudos to Beverly Jenkins on a great novel. I've read this and 'Through the Storm' several times but 'Indigo' is by far my favorite. I look forward to reading 'The taming of Jessi Rose" next.

Summary: A Love For All Time
Review: This book is the most beautifully written romantic love story I have ever read. From the characters (Galen and La Petite Indigo), to the storyline and setting, this books was "TOPS". The story had me hooked from the very beginning. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. The love that was expressed had me wishing that I could find my own "Black Daniel". He fell in love with the beautiful Indigo and was determined to show her and everyone else how much she meant to him. I loved this story so much I've read it about 4-5 times. Ms. Jenkins really does a wonderful job when it comes to researching her books. I have read all of her books and she has done a terrific job on every one of them. My other favorite is "Topaz". This was another beautiful love story. I can hardly wait for her next book to come out even before I've finished reading the current one. Beverly Jenkins books are a "must read".

Review: The most enchanting, beautiful love story I have ever read. Not mushy or typical but beautifully written. I myself fell in love with "The Black Daniel!" I even had my husband read some of her words. I've shared this book with every reader I know!

Summary: Beautiful, romantic, enchanting, historic, educational...
Review: I only wish someone would make this beautiful story into a movie. This was by far, the most romantic book I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I never really liked romance novels because so few of the stories and characters were African American. Thank you Beverly. So glad you're writing for us.

Summary: A book of incredible taste!!!!!!
Review: Ms. Jenkins, stuck her foot in this book. I am a young African American woman who at one point did not like to read a book at all, until my Aunt encourageed me to read Indigo. After reading the first two chapters of this book I couldn't put it down. The history that is written in this book was so educating to me that I learned things about my black history that I didn't know exists. Ms. Jenkins keep up the good work, and please don't stop writing, I look forward to reading more titles from you. Its because of your books that I now love to read a good black Novel. Much thanks and prays to your work. Your a great writer and a very encouraging person, who makes black history very interesting to learn.

Summary: This book hooked me on romance novels.
Review: This was the first book that I read by Beverly Jenkins. I have since read all of her novels, I loved them, and I am now a fan for life. She made me see that black people where more than just slaves and that some were free and wealthy. I was proud to see black people, especially the women, depicted as strong, loving, intelligent, passionate, and independet people. The Black Daniel and La Petite Indigo are two of the best charactes ever created. Beverly Jenkins made a sista proud and I can't wait for her next novel.
