Rating: Summary: a fun book to read Review: Dara Joy did what many romance novel writers are unable to do, write a nice hot romantic fantasy that is not so sickingly sweet that it makes the reader want to puke. Yes, Tyber is too good to be true, but then who wants to read about some jerk?
Rating: Summary: This is my FAVORITE contemporary!! Review: I have to say that this is my absolute favorite contemporary!! I also love this woman's Matrix series. :) She started out wonderful, and has only gotten better!!! A must read if you like sexy contemporaries, or just love Dara Joy's books in general!! This deserves every star that's available. :-)Sarah Pearson
Rating: Summary: Deliciously romantic and hysterically funny! Review: I only recently happened upon Dara Joy by accident and quickly read everything I could find. This particular book is a beautiful example of how wonderfully she entertains the reader. This is the best romance novel I have read all year. Try it...I guarantee you will like it.
Rating: Summary: ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES BOOKS Review: I don't know how she does it. First Ms, Joy got me reading futuristics which I usually don't do. But she didn't just get me reading them-she got me desperate for her next Matrix series book. Now she has me reading contemporories! I used to just read historicals but that was before DJ <G> This book is marvelous. It was like watching an old time screwball comedy, I just loved all the characters and their whacked out behavior. Zanita was so funny and a perfect foil for "Doctor" Evans. They reminded me of Hepburn and Grant in that movie about "Baby". If you want a wonderful way to pass the day-read this book. You'll love it too! I garantee you'll be scouring for all the rest of her books like the rest of us <G>
Rating: Summary: Another disappointing heroine Review: I must have a love-hate relationship with Dara Joy's books. I keep criticizing them in these reviews, but I keep reading them. I think it must be because she can be so entertaining, I keep wanting her to do better; like a favorite child you KNOW could bring home A's instead of B's and C's. Just two observations here: Again, we have a heroine in need of psychotherapy because she doesn't know what she really wants out of her relationships. She keeps on about how she doesn't want a boyfriend to mess up her head, no relationships, thank you, all the time she's living in Tyber's house and sleeping with him and having fantastic sex. What is this if not a boyfriend? Also, isn't anyone even a little skeptical or embarrassed about the idea of a free-lance physicist? Believe me, these guys can't function outside of a university laboratory with millions of dollars of equipment (that's why we have government grants, because we can't build particle accelerators in our basements). Well, I'll keep cheering Dara Joy on.
Rating: Summary: Funny from the word go Review: I admit that this was the last one of her's I was actually dreading it I mean with a name like Tyber?? but the first line men boil them in oil I loved. Now all I have to do is wait for the sequal (hint hint)
Rating: Summary: Disjointed and juvenile level of description Review: I'd give it no stars if offered the choice. This is the second novel by this author I've attempted to read. "Attempted", and not read in full, as her truly juvenile style is difficult to focus on. Possibly she is writing at a level appreciated by regular online denizens, with her overuse of vague superlatives. Endless referring to the hero or his smile as "sexy" is just not enough detail. (She does the same thing in "Mine to Take".) Two novels of dumb heroines, who let themselves be lead into various actions by the hero (uh, after saying "no'), means I won't be back.
Rating: Summary: Extremely Entertaining! Review: This is the first book I've read of Dara Joy's, and I loved it! I laughed throughout the whole book! I couldn't put it down! Mills, Gregor, and Cody also caught my eye. Please write a book on them. Please. I wonder what Gregor would do to raise Mills' low opinion of him. Well, I guess I'll have to hope Dara writes about them.
Rating: Summary: Tyber Evans is the definitive fantasy. Review: This is one of THE BEST books that I have ever read. It is easy to put yourself in the place of the heroine in this story of romance and investigative journalism. In fact, I wish I COULD take her place. Tyber Evans is the perfect fantasy hero. The story is exciting, sexy, and just plain entertaining. This is a book that I highly recommend for every romance fanatic to read. It is truly one of the BEST!
Rating: Summary: Her Best Yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I have read all Ms joy's books except for 'Mine To Take', don't get me started on my inability to get hold of a copy, and this is my favourite by far. the only one which comes close is 'Knight of a Trillion Stars'. But this is totally superior. I love Tyber!! I want him for myself. what a babe!! I just want to know if Greg's story is coming out?
