Summary: Seriously bizarre!
Review: I have a personalized autographed copy of Lust Lizard. But I haven't started to read it yet. The first four books were so outrageously wonderful. I hate for his books to come to an end. I laugh out loud and loose myself in the sheer lunacy and cleverness of his stories. Lust Lizard will be the beginning highlight of my summer vacation! Take a chance on Christopher Moore - you will lust for moore......

Summary: I wish I could give it ZERO stars.
Review: "Love Nun" was absolutely painful to read -- nonsensical, insipid and positively a waste of time. And I was being PAID to read it to write a review in our local newspaper! And to top it off, Christopher Moore lives in my area -- so I had every incentive to like the book. All I can offer at this point is a word of warning: Stay away!

Summary: Christopher Moore is Simply Incredible
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I read Practical Demonkeeping last month which was the first of Christopher's books I had ever purchased on a whim by an author I'd hadn't read before and found I couldn't put it down. I went out and picked up all of his other novels. I love his writing! Each of his novels held my attention from start to finish. He is so very creative, imaginative and so very funny. I had picked up Coyote Blue on a number of occasions but put it back because I didn't think I'd like it (little did I know). He's definitely a keeper, so I'll be waiting & watching for anything that he may publish. I may have been a little late finding out about this author but I'm definitely not sorry. For those of you who haven't read his work, check it out cause you're missing something exciting. Keep up the good work Christopher!

Summary: Hysterical!! Classic!!!!
Review: The worst part about reading anything by Christopher Moore is the way people stare at you when you bust out laughing in a public place...

Summary: The best of the best.
Review: When I first picked up this book to start reading it I had no idea what to expect. It was recommended by a friend, and I thought, "what the hey". I finished it that night. This book is that good. The plot is cleverly weaved together with everything that you can imagine. Busty airplane godesses, insane mid-air shinanagans, rowdy characters, and of course the ever faithful naive island natives. Everything fits together. The plot is swift and doesn't stop. The characters are believable, for the most part. Best of all, I couldn't stop laughing. Moore's brand of humor is absolutely out of this world. He had me laughing out loud several times. The situations he creates in this book are incredibly real and funny. I loved it. I would recommend it six days a week and on Sunday.

Summary: Clever, Creative, Uproariously Funny!
Review: This book is the most refreshing story I have read in a long, long time! I caught myself laughing out loud throughout - I mean, really laughing hard! "Island of the Sequined Love Nun" has definitely made me a Christopher Moore fan!

Summary: Excellent
Review: I have lived in Micronesia and Polynesia for the past 8 years, and always enjoy reading some satyrical fiction about the islands. I love the way the author describes scenes and life on the islands, he has obviously spent some time out here. There are so many subtleties which are included, which only a person who has lived here would recognize, which contribute to the uniqueness of island life, and the uniqueness of this book. The plot left me continuously wondering where it would all lead to, and how it would end. It was very entertaining and I highly recommend anyone read it, especially anyone fortunate enough to have spent some time out in the Pacific.

Summary: drop everything!
Review: It has been entirely too long since I was so enchanted by a novel that I carried it with me everywhere--hey, this traffic light is red, that's enough time to read two sentences!--but this did it. A sharp, funny, wonderfully written novel--my copy falls open to one sentence that I so adored I forced others to read it, just so they could go out and get their own copy.

Oh, and did I mention it was funny?

Summary: Some Enchanted Reading in a different South Pacific...
Review: While convalescing from surgery recently, I had the sheer pleasure and joy to read Christopher Moore's whacked out tale of a South Seas cargo cult, a downed pilot -in several senses of the term- for a cosmetics company (a la Mary Kay), his Phillipino transvestite navigator with a talking pet fruit bat that wears rhinestoned sunglasses and some dubious island missionaries posing as some form of cargo cult deity. With all the over-the-top characters, plots and subplots going on, Moore's exquisite craft suspends your disbelief and captures and enraptues you, seducing you with the potency of a South Seas sirens call. Truly wonderful reading and highly recommended for a twacked-out tropical get-away in the comfort of your own home! Some enchanted reading in a different South Pacific... definitely NOT a Rodgers & Hammerstein melody!

Summary: This guy is something
Review: I'm a newcomer to C.Moore..1st was "Bloodsuckig Fiends"..then "Practical Demon-keeping"..now this! I still don't know how this guy does it!?I loved the other two books, but when i got the outline of a pilot,Filipino transvestites,Shark tribes, and god knew what else,..I have to say,I was less than excited...well,I read it anyway..and this by far is Mr. Moore's best..how can a guy have ghosts and talking fruitbat's in the plot and make it work? Christopher Moore does in spades!...Look you gotta read this...you will love it..it's wierd,it's different, but it's the most entertaining book you will have read in a long time..."nuff said
