Summary: Come Together
Review: Very unique storytelling, but extremely effective. The dialogue is written very well and the characters are quite likeable. This is an enjoyable read on relationships, but from a different perspective than most relationship books. I loved it.

Summary: The first of many...
Review: I picked this book up a few years ago, based only on the information given on the back cover. Definately one of the best purchases I have ever made. This book was my introduction to the "chicklet" genre and I have never looked back. I laughed out loud at the dialouge between the two main characters...so typical, but so REAL. It is written by one male author and one female author...he writing the main male character chapters and she picking up where he left off, from the female point of view.(The authors got married after writing this book) It's true to life dialouge goes in to the thoughts and lives of both characters on their journey into courtship. Hilarious at times, and maddening at others, this book is a true find. Perfect read for females that have "had it" with men, and equally as perfect for them. (We make them crazy, too!)

Summary: He said, she said
Review: This book avoids most of the sappy cliches of the single-chic genre through an innovative approach. It has two voices: male and female (Jack and Amy) and gives both of them equal credence. Both characters are portrayed as real people with both their good and bad characteristics prominently displayed. It is an interesting and honest story about what young single people go through on daily basis - jobs, friendships, dating - and what we all hope will be the end result - meaningful life and a great love.

Summary: Believable love story
Review: Of all the Chick-Lit books to come out over the past few years, this is by far the most believable. The male and female protagonists and their particular life situations are much more down-to-earth and don't involve the totally improbable mischances and consequent outcomes that the other novels of this type depend on. And yet, it is every bit as exciting and enjoyable. I was totally absorbed in this sweet love story from the first meetings, through the ups and downs, until the last sentence. The he said/she said style had me wondering, as I read each chapter, what the other would say in the next ... One thing that really hit me was how the female was constantly trying to clear up her mistakes and learn to send clear messages, while the male character never really gave up his mixed messages, to her endless frustration. When he finally gets it and tries to be clear, he gets into more trouble! Too true.

Summary: A great read!
Review: Loved this book.... I really liked that it was written by a man and a woman, alternating chapters. Also, that the authors got married after writing the book was another interesting tidbit. It was fun to read a book where the characters thoughts were exactly thoughts we all have. Funny, too. Highly recommend reading!!

Summary: Interesting...but could be better.
Review: I think I'm in the minority when I say that I didn't enjoy this book as well as the other reviewers. This book does not compare to "Bridget Jones's Diary" in any way, only that it takes place in Britain which seems to be the latest trend in novels.

This book is written in a he said/she said point of view by Jack and Amy. They tell their thoughts to the reader in each chapter about how they feel relationships are and how they seem to be going. I kept thinking that each character had a lack of communication between each other, but great communication to the reader.

Once I got into the middle of the book, I couldn't put it down. To start the book, it took a bit to "get into it" and then towards the end, I had trouble trying to finish it. I found other "british" novels more interesting and fun to read than this one. Reading this one was like performing a chore.

The book had a great concept with the he said/she said alternate chapters. The problem to me was the way the chapters flowed. I found myself getting a bit lost at times (for example: with Jack's former girlfriends or people he worked with and had to go back and find out when the person was first mentioned.) I've seen authors of fan fiction write alternate chapters that flowed better than this novel.

Summary: It made me smile
Review: This book saved me. First, I was stuck reading another book that had me completely annoyed so I decided to change course and try this one, which I just couldn't put down. Boredom no more. Secondly, as I was reading Jack's chapters, my faith in men, even sworn bachelors, was renewed. Fond memories of the romantic that I used to be as a teenager had been rekindled, and I just could not stop smiling.

Summary: Predictable
Review: Predictable but fun. I read it a while ago and don't remember a whole lot about it (which might tell you something else about the book), but I remember not really believing aspects of the male part of the story. It won't ruin your day, but it won't make it either.

Summary: Very interesting romantic novel!
Review: A friend of mine recommended this novel, and I found it very interesting. The difference between me and other readers is I read this book in Spanish. It was both funny and romantic. I would recommend it to anyone who's ever fallen in love. :)

Summary: Interesting concept, moderately well executed
Review: This was a fun book -- a good summer beach read. It centers around the budding relationship of two people who just can't seem to get it right. The novel is told from a he said/she said perspective -- a clever concept, though the two authors' descriptions of the other character don't always match up. It's a fun, fast read, but I didn't find it particularly realistic or memorable.
