Summary: Sequel is good too!
Review: Me again! I just finished Come Again, which is the sequel to Come Together. It was hee-lah-ree-us! Especially Part 2! There IS a continuation for Matt and H and wedding bells for Jack and Amy. There's also the introduction of two other of Jack and Amy's mates, namely Suzie and Stringer. Throw in some romance, attraction, lots of booze, a stag night and a hen party and what you get is utter chaos, not to mention a bladder bursting laugh! Especially Part 2! So how come Amazon U.S doesn't carry the second book? ...Hallelujah, I found it at Borders down town. Them English pounds exchange rate would wipe me out if I had to order from Amazon U.K!

Summary: Truly Laugh-Out-Loud
Review: I thought this book was a gem!So what if it isn't a great piece of literature. It had all I want in a book to brighten up a monotonous day - it was fun, funny, entertaining and had great witty dialogue. Somehow, the English truly have the dry wit market cornered. All the reviews I have read here are spot-on! My only lament was that it ended when it did. I so-oo wanted to know what happened next....did they walk down the aisle? would Matt and H click? Amy's job is just peachy...how did it turn out for Jack??? Sigh!...Hmmm....heard a sequel's out..lemme go check.

Summary: Entertaining, humorous, and very readable
Review: This is the first book I've read of the 'he says, she says' variety, so I was new to the genre; it's an interesting and novel - to me - way of presenting a romantic novel. It's especially amusing, in the early stages, to see the different attitudes to love and sex taken by the male and female protagonists.

Jack is a late-twenty-something struggling artist, mostly sponging off his best friend and flatmate, Matt. Amy is a younger twenty-something temp, finds most of her work boring and hasn't had sex for six months. They meet in a bar - where else? - and get talking.

I did occasionally get frustrated by the fact that the narratives don't overlap; for instance, we see Jack and Amy's first meeting from Amy's perspective, but since she falls asleep we miss a lot of it. When the narrative switches to Jack, time has moved on; we don't find out what his first impressions of Amy were, or whether he wants to see her again. (He does. But we don't learn this immediately).

Entertaining nonetheless, and the sequel, Come Again, is also worth a look.

Incidentally, I notice that the US edition of this book has a completely different cover design and colour... weird!

Summary: Best book i've read - can't wait 4 the follow-up!
Review: This is a very good realistic book and i think the author's ideas of the "he - thinks/she-thinks" format makes it very enjoyable and the ability to relate to it. "Come again" - the follow up is out soon, CAN'T WAIT!

Summary: A lot of fun!
Review: I read this one in two days, I couldn't put it down. The format of the book is very effective in keeping one hooked. I was laughing out loud many times and reading out loud the funniest parts to my boyfriend. Compared to similar books such as The Edge of Reason and The Trials of Tiffany Trott, it's right up there with the best of them.

Summary: Realistic Love Story
Review: This book was such a fun read! It was a light and very sweet love story. The characters were very believable. They were both flawed. I loved the "he said/she said" aspect of the book. It was nice, for once, to hear the man's thoughts on love and commitment. Also, the journey he made from not being ready to commit to falling in love was very endearing and insightful. Their thoughts on the situations were hilarious. This pair of writers should definatley think about collaborating again.

Summary: Perfect quick read
Review: I bought this book at the grocery store on my way to the swimming pool and it wasn't put down until I finished it! The Jack portions were hilarious! His thought process was so typically male that I found myself reading aloud sections to my husband. And Amy was dead on for the typical female...from her relationship with her mom to her job to her pamper me shopping sprees. Highly suggested!

Summary: Amusing, engaging - puts a smile on your face...
Review: I would recommend this book to anyone who has ever been in a relationship and wonder what the other person was or wasn't thinking. Who hasn't? It will make you laugh out loud. I have recommended it to all of my friends - married, involved, dating and lonely - and all have loved it.

Summary: A Heartwarming Read
Review: I started this book expecting it to be fun and fluffy in the vein of "Bridget Jones." It was anything but -- the dual authorship allowed for a real sense of character that cannot often be found in a novel with different perspectives, and I found myself feeling as if I was a friend, trying to root their relationship on.

The fact that the authors are indeed engaged as a result of writing the book only proves its insight into the world of relationships.

Summary: TOP READ
Review: 'Come Together' is simply GREAT. Perfect easy reading for summer holidays. Clever monologue idea that allows you to easily relate to each sexes perspective. Can't add much more than the other 60-odd reviews to date other than "Buy it, read it, enjoy!". I recently re-read this first book - and enjoyed it every bit as much as last time - before reading the sequel 'Come Again'. In comparison this unfortunately pales into insignificance; same monologue idea, similar story line and even a lot of the same characters but it didn't work for me. Jack and Amy are replaced by their respective best fiends Matt and Helen but it just doesn't have the same appeal.
