Rating:  Summary: Very Happy Review: I really found this book useful. It helped me, a intermediate ballet dancer, keep good posture. It will also help the unexperienced dancer improve. It is easy to stay with the workout. This book shows dancers the workout,in illistrated pictures of the New York City Ballet. The book has workouts and stretches, whih will increase you flexibility. This book features Ballet Center, good for high potential. I think many readers after me will enjoy this book.
Rating:  Summary: Returned it! Review: I purchased this book hoping to gain insight into techniques used by professional dancers. Instead what i received is a book that has the first 15 or so pages dedicated to the NYC Ballet -INCLUDING individual biographies, and then the exercises shown were basic stretches that anyone would know if they ever attended HS physical education. Granted, the pictures are nice, the bio info is interesting, but not for $20. If you are beginner at fitness, great - go for it, but otherwise don't waste your money.
Rating:  Summary: WOW WOW WOW! Review: I have been doing the exercises in this book every day for about 6 weeks, and have already noticed a big difference. I am more flexible, my muscles are more firm (especially my theighs), and I have noticed a tremendous difference in my posture and the way I carry myself. Even if you are not a dancer, this book can still help you to firm your muscles and improve posture. If you are a dancer, you will get even bigger gains. This is an all-around wonderful book. All the exercises are photographed to show you what they look like, and the directions are very clear and easy to follow.

Rating:  Summary: much more effective than other exercise programs Review: Although I have only been doing these exercises for about a month, I have already noticed faster results than I have ever gotten from an exercise program.Especially helpful to me were the stretches for the back. I have noticed a big difference in my posture and the way I carry myself.
Rating:  Summary: Results That Come Easy Review: This is a great book for anyone that wants to achieve results without a lot of hard work. I ordered this book just before Christmas, and within just a few weeks of doing these exercises for about 45 minutes 4 to 5 times a week, I am already seeing results. The exercises are easy to do, and there are so many different ones in the book, you can pick the workout that's perfect for you. This is one workout I really look forward to.
Rating:  Summary: A little heaven on earth Review: I heard about this book several years ago, and never bought it. Now I am sorry for my lapse. It made me feel so strong and beautiful. But even more so, my body felt fantastic when I was done. It is wonderful to feel how every muscle in my body works, and that is what this book did for me. The exercises are challenging, but they made me feel great. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new and exciting way to tone their body.
Rating:  Summary: It works! Review: I started this workout the summer after my senior year in high school, I wanted to tone up and lose a little weight before I went off to college, but I wanted something I could do at home without much preparation or equipment. I did these workouts, mainly the abs one and the basic workout, four times a week, sometimes in the morning, mainly at night watching David Letterman. The results were subtle, but by the end of the summer everyone in my family was commenting on how I looked so much slimmer (though the scale stayed the same) and a couple of acquiantences even asked me if I was a dancer! I could tell the difference in increased flexibility and the wonderfully tight stomach i developed. Its awesome, it really yeilds results!
Rating:  Summary: would be better on video tape Review: I'm sure these exercises have been proven over the test of time in the New York City Ballet, but I did the exercises once and returned to the gym for a more intense workout. It's too distracting to try to figure out the pictures and flip back and forth from the workout listings. I wouldn't recommend this book if you workout to blow off stress.
Rating:  Summary: a must have for anyone interested in fitness Review: the book was just great! the pictures are fantastic, note the black/white photos really draw attention to the beauty of the human body, the work-outs are well written so that anyone regardless of whether they are beginners or advance can do. It is also a great book just to sit down and read.
