Summary: disaster! :o(
Review: how awful. how boring, uninteresting, and awful. this book does not give anything to the mind except for the knowledge that the black people did not have their way in life. nothing was good about this book except for the writing technique, which was fairly good. i do not recommend this book to anyone, including teachers of middle schools (i am one of them). only if you want to be under the influence of a conceited, self-centered story.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An excellent book!!!
Review: Mildred D. Taylor is an brillant author and this is one of her best books! I have read everyone of her books and they are just as fantastic as this one is. Her perspective on African-American history is beautiful. I not only recommend this book, but everyone of her books!!

Also, if you read this book, make sure to read the sequals Let the Circle Be Unbroken and The Road to Memphis.

Summary: This was a powerfully written, truth telling book. Buy it!
Review: The book roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, is a powerful book. It explains the hardships that blacks in the South went through, and what hateful whites did to them. The main character, Cassie Logan, is a young girl who has a short temper and wants to be treated equally with the whites. The book also tells about the Logan family's hardships of owning their own land, with some white people trying to take it away from them. Mildred Taylor does an amazing job of telling the truth about what went on in the South, in the form of Historical Fiction. I would recommend this book to anybody!

Review: Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry, I thought, was an outstanding book that shared a year of a nine year old girl named Cassie Logan, and her family! Summary: full of detail and great history background
Review: the book was surprisingly good and i strongly reccomend it for people that love history. full of sadness and laughter, the book tells of how much black people suffered even after the civil war ended. the book vividly describes racism in the South and tells of the pride and joy that went on in the Logan family.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: It's probably best book I have ever read!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Cassie Logan finds out the hard way that living in the Depression is hard - especially with the racism going on all around her. Cassie is 9 years old and it is difficult for her to realize that some people are mean to her and her family and friends simply because of her skin color. Many touching, sad, funny, and happy adventures packed into one wonderful book - absolutely must be read, you cannot miss out on such a book!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Not very interesting
Review: I read this book in class and I thought it was uninteresting and very boring. Some people like these stories and that is fine with me, but mostly, I think this story is a little too hard for children to understand. It's more of a book that adults or people that love historical books lwould like to read. The book might have deserved a metle but I just say it was a very complicated book

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This is a great book!!!
Review: This book is great. It really shows how it used to be right after the Civil War. It is ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!!
