Rating: Summary: Incredible! Review: I am a huge "Redwall" fan and absolutley adore the series. "Salamandastron" is my absolute favorite book out of the 13 in the series. The characters are unfogettable: like Samkin and Arula, Thrugg and Dumble, Mara and Pikkle, Ferahgo and Klitch; and the story is fantastic! It has a few different plots, like Ferahgo's attack on Salamandastron, Thrugg and Dumble's quest for the Icetor Flowers, Samkin and Arula's jouney to retrieve Martin's sword, and Mara & Pikkle helping the shrews find the Guosssom blackstone. It's incredible how they all end up meeting eachother in the book! Brian Jacques is a literary genious!
Rating: Summary: A good piece of work. Review: Although this is good book, I cannot see how forty hares can defend Salamandastron from a horde of 500 or so. The book has a good plot and some well developed characters, with enough action to keep most interested. While not as good as Mariel of Redwall or Redwall, it is still quite enjoyable and a good read. But how could forty hares defend Salamand...

Rating: Summary: Burr, hurr this'n is a good'n, burr hurr Review: This is a good book, and it should be read over and over. I loved the detailed descriptions of the characters, especially Ferahgo and Klitch. One of my all time favorites. Humorous, serious, wonderful. I just can't emphasize that enough. WOW!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Wow! One of the best books I have ever read!!!! Review: The Redwall series has been recomended to me by several friends. At first I thought, Just another totally lame series, and did not give it another thought. Later, I decided to try it and WOW!!!! I had to keep reading the series! I have read Salamandastron, Mariel of Redwall, and The Long Patrol. I am currently reading Mattimeo.
Rating: Summary: Very Good Review: This book is really good, in my opinion, it deserves more than 5 stars! The details in this story are fantastic, making the story itself almost seem real.
Rating: Summary: We Have a Winner! Review: Ferahgo the Assassin, the cold hearted, blue-eyed Weasel makes an attack on Salamandastron in order to come accross the badger treasure he has heard of. Meanwhile two of his horde members escaped the ranks and find themselves at Redwall Abby. One night they steal away from the Abbey with the sword of Martin the Warrior. The next morning Samkim adn Arula set after them to retrieve the sword. While they were gone, the deadly Ditcheye Fever spreads over the Abbey. So Thrugg and baby Dumble set out to find the flowers of Icetor, the only thing known to cure it. This book is packed with excitement, tragedy, laughs, and is written in the most creative way If you have a good imagination you will love this book, if you don't have an imagination it will give you one.
Rating: Summary: The best book I've ever read. Review: Salamandastron, and all the other books in the Redwall series, are the best I've ever read. They all are genius works of art, and keep me glued to the book every page of the way. I can never put any of the books in this series down. My favorite one of the books is Salamandastron, and the innovative telling of a badger warrior and his friends on his journey to save the mountain stronghold of Salamandastron makes it a very worthwhile book for those who like animals, adventure, or even just a good fiction book.
Rating: Summary: Salamandastron: My personal favorite of the series Review: When my friend introduced this book to me, I read the first few chapters with indifference. However, when I started to see the suspenseful beginning, I was a bit anxious to read more. In truth, my school grades suffered because I spent every available minute (more often in class than not) reading this book, unable to put it down unless threatened by my vengeful math teacher. I love the many supporting characters, and the delightfully wicked villains, as well as the lovely descriptions, incredible background detailing, and tales of woodlander food that made my mouth water and drool on the library book! (Boy did I get in trouble for that)Brian Jacqes is a literary genius in this book, with the touching bond between Urthstripe and his adopted daughter Mara, the lovely wickedness of the blue-eyed weasel Ferahgo, and the funny antics of the youngest babies with their funny accents. I am going to buy this book today. . chack the records I WILL!
Rating: Summary: How could it not get five? Review: I hate to give out fives, cause five means perfect, but this is. It is a book that you can't put down. Not only does it contain a great, exciting adventure, but also it unlocks a new place in the World of Redwall that holds a key spot. I recommend it to anybody who likes to read between the ages of Ten and Fifty. You might think that a book about animals running around would be childish, but it isn't. Young kids have trouble comprehending the older kid/adult-directed words, and the story is great. Believe me. Try a book from this series, no matter who you are. This is a great book to start with, because it has such a great stroy and such a thrilling adventure.
