Rating: Summary: The Magic Story Review: The book,Circle of magic, is very good.I myself would recommend it for ages 11-up because it has many words that children might not understand. Tamora Pierce, the writer, is very very good at writing adventure with magic and distance lands. Tamora Pierce is the author of many other stories including,The Song of the Lioness and The Immortals. All the novels she written have been published overseas including Germany and France. In addition to her novels she has produced magazine articles, short stories, flim reviews and a screenplay. Chapter one is mainly about four young people around the age of 13 out in a forbidden land. Sandry a girl with no powers trapped in a cellar waiting for Pirisi,a young man,to release her. She was put in the cellar because a mob with powers kills Traders, people without powers,so Pirisi is proting her.If the mob findes her they might kill her. While this is happening a young girl gets herself shipwrecked floating on a board with no sign of help or no one to help her! On the other side of town a young boy gets caught stealing. When you get arrested they put a 'X' on the web of your hand. You only get 3 times and on the third time you are sentenced to be beaten and ,poor guy, he used up his second time. One more place of town lives a girl in a All Girl school. She is one of those people who have their nose in a book all the time and usually gets in trouble with her friends. Her teacher got so mad at her that she sent her to the place called the"Winding Circle" where 3 other people already have been living there, that are a bit like her...!

Rating: Summary: Excellent! I couldn't put it down! Review: Tamora Pierce just gets better and better. Alanna was good, Daine was great and this is the best yet. I was supposed to read it for school in a week, but I ended up staying up late to finish it in just one day.
Rating: Summary: Not what expected Review: When I bought this book I thought it would be alot like Tamora Pierces former 2 sets (which I absolutly love), but when I started reading it I realized it was completely different and now I can't wait to start reading the next one. I hope everyone who reads it will enjoy it as much as I did.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful!!!! Review: This book was awsome! When the librarian gave it to me, I didn't like the looks of it because it wasn't set in Tortall, but I tried it anyway. I finished it less then two hours, and couldn't wait for the restof the series! I particularly like the Tamara had some of the character's backrounds in the beginning, and the way she joined up Briar, Tris, Sandry and Daja. I also liked the way she had different kinds of people (a thief, a merchant, a noble and a trader) and managed to make them like each other in a way. A must!

Rating: Summary: an overall wonderful book Review: The beginning was a little confusing but after a while, the book was really good.I know a lot of people thought this book was boring but it's all a matter of taste. This book didn't have as much adventure as the first two series (except at the end), but if you think on it for a little while you realize this book is mainly about friendship and being at peace with oneself (I think).
Rating: Summary: Circle of Magic Sandry's Book Review: Sandry's Book is the first book in Tamora Pierce's The Circle of Magic series. This book introduces the four main characters of the series: Sandry, who has thread magic, Tris, who has weather magic, Daja, who has metal magic, and Briar, who has plant magic. These four young mages are new to their powers and never knew they existed. When they first meet, they don't get along. But after a while they learn to live with each other. As they learn the basic skills of magic, they also learn more about how to use and controll their powers. Their particularly rare knids of magic are strong, but it is stronger when they are together. When an earthquake threatens their lives, they bind thier magics and learn to work together.
Rating: Summary: Love It! Review: First of all, I have to say that I just love all of Tamora Pierce's books, and this one was no different. This just wasn't as good as it could have been because all the introductions have to be made, all the learning that they have magic, and the getting from enemies to friends. I enjoyed it, but it was an introduction book, not really an action book. And it wasn't even mostly about Sandry, really. But to get started, a man called Niko rescues four different children and brings them to the same place: Sandry, Roach(Briar), Daja, and Tris. They all are sent to the Discipline cabin for different reasons, where they start off as enemies. Slowly, they each discover their own talents and magic, and Sandry brings it together to make well, a thread of all their magic, which helps them all. By the end of the book, they have put aside their differences and cannot be happier together.
Rating: Summary: Not Exactly what I expected... Review: I love this series. T.P. has a perfect right to write for a younger audience. Just because her earlier books were for teens doesn't mean she always has to write for them, and these books are still fun for teens *frost issues from mouth at evil reviewer*. I like the other books in the series a lot better, it's true, but this book is just setting up the next three, so that's okay. Hate this book if you want, but don't assume that whatever you feel about this one will translate over to the rest odf the series.
