Summary: ...truly enjoyable...
Review: This is a must read.  I truly enjoyed the way Ms. Copeland linked all the characters together.  The friendships that emerged are the kind that we all try to have in our own lives (at least I do minus that of Topaz :-).  I read this book in one sitting.  I could not but it down.  Even though I did not read A Chocolate Star, I felt like I knew all the characters, especially Kiesha and Nina, who were my favorite "girlfriends".

I was a little peeved that Topaz was not content with all that she had.  I got the feeling that in order for her to be happy she had to be suffering.  I can't wait to find out what will happen to this band of friends, as the story unfolds and the drama continues... -JR

Summary: A CHOCOLATE AFFAIR
Review: This is a VERY good book! I read it in one day. The characters were professional yet down to earth. It was refreshing to read about successful sisters who could still be humble(except TOPAZ), funny and REAL. I know there has to be a sequel-PLEASE don't make us wait too long!!

Summary: Alright sequel
Review: This is the sequel to Chocolate star. All the old characthers were back again. Topaz was still up to her old ways. Sean's wife Jade was a little selfish in my opinion, and I didn't like how she did kendra. I throught this was an ok sequel only that I can't believe Sean messed up, with Topaz when he was married and had resisted her all the time when he was single, I'm not sure I agree with how it ended, I feel Topaz didn't get what she deserved.

Summary: Soooooo Anxious!!!!
Review: This Sequal is off the meter*** The characters are vivid, close to home, and they pull you into the story keeping you anxious for more. My girl, Topaz is out there, I mean, she needs Jesus! The book is honestly a tease...it's shorter than Sheila's first one, "Chocolate Stars", and once again Sheila leaves us hanging at the end. The story line is intimate and riveting, full of satire and irony, a real page turner! I read it in under 4 hours. Sheila Copeland leaves you wanting more, and as for myself, I'm Sooooo Anxious for the followup to the sequal~

Summary: This Book Is Off The Hook!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: This was a really great book. It took me about two weeks to read and that was only because I didn't have a lot of time on my hands because otherwise I would have read this book in 3 days because it was just that good. Keisha's a houswife with what seems to be perfect life and a perfect husband and 5-year-old daughter, she's gorgeous and seemed to be very sure of herself. Her husband Eric plays in the NBA and got drafted to the LA Lakers so they moved the family out west to LA. Then there is Topaz, the beauty-queen singer with a gorgeous little daughter. Topaz is still in love with her ex-lover who took their son and wouldn't let her see him. When Keisha unexpectedly comes to town to live, Topaz is happy that she now has a good friend with her in town besides her cousin. When Keisha comes to town Topaz takes that oppourtunity to ask her friend for help to get her and her ex-lover Germain back together. Now ther is Jade. Jade is a lovely-looking woman of Japanese and Black decent, she is a wonderful artist who owns her own art gallery and is married to ex-NBA basketball star Sean "Sylk", she is a bit depressed about the fact that she has gotten pregnant too soon into their marriage and after the baby is born Sean and hers relationship takes a turn for the worst. In the beginning Jade doesn't like Topaz and Topaz doesn't like Jade, but in the end you'll see Jade was right all along and had good reason not to like Topaz at all. Lastly.... Nina, the beautiful, sexy cousin of the diva superstar, Topaz, says she will never get married, but then her man Jamil gives her an engagement ring. What will Nina do? This book takes you on many different encounters but nothing compairs to the big climax and you won't want to miss what happens between two of the main characters that could effect the lives of ALL the characters in the book...........but only if they all knew......... You can only find out what happens when you read this off the hook book. This story will take you on a ride once all the characters lives intertwine with one another, you won't believe this ending, it'll definately leave you wanting more! READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: MUST READ
Review: This was a very good book. I love how Ms. Copeland linked all these characters together and developed them very well. If you read Choclate Star you must read this book. It keeps you going from the first page. I really enjoyed this book, but there has to be a part three cause of the way it ended. Sheila don't leave us hanging. I look forward to reading her latest book Princess Sister. She is truly a talented writer.

Summary: Phenomenal!
Review: This was by far one of the most entertaining and extraordinary books I'd read in a long time. I didn't even know there was a prequel, Chocolate Star, until several months later. Chocolate Affair was positive, yet realistic in the sense that it portrayed people who try hard to do the right thing, but make life shattering wrong decisions. I read this book in less than two days while working two jobs 16 hours a day! The first couple of chapters are a little slow, but the book gains exhilerating momentum and doesn't stop! I am praying that there will be another follow up to this book because THE ENDING LEAVES YOU SUSPENDED IN DISBELIEF...there HAS to be another book. Otherwise, I'll be mad.

Summary: Excellent Book!!
Review: This was definitely one of the best books that I have read, and I have read a LOT of books. I liked the first one better (chocolate star) and would definitely recommend reading that first, as it introduces you to all of the characters. I am waiting on a sequel, as the book ended with a "hanging" ending. Can't wait!!!

Summary: Great Book
Review: This was the first book I read of Ms Copeland and fell in love with it right away. I wish that this was a movie or a mini sitcom. Sheila Copeland did her thang!

Summary: Definitely a Great Book!!!
Review: When I bought A Chocolate Affair, I had never read a book by an African American author. It was so good now I have a whole collection of them!!!Although I did not read the first book Chocolate Star, this book was still a great read. This book let's us take a look at Keisha, the loving house wife married to a basketball superstar, Jade, a striving artist who is also married to a basketball superstar, Topaz, a recording artist, and Nina, a sexy woman filled with energy. All of these women take their turns learning about love and all of the things that come with love. It has some scandalous things in here too, but I can't tell you everthing that happened. This book is a must read. I am so glad I picked this book up!!!
